As for launch problems, I'm 16 hours or so now in the sim things have been running great after the launch day server issues for me! (Sure some bugs here and there but nothing that ruins the experience!) Hope you'll be able to dive into the sim soon!
Launch problems already have been resolved, and the first patch is live as well. You should be fine once you decide to hop in. I recommend playing the game with an ethernet connection though.
As a flight medic, I think it’s much more realistic for SAR to be a Helo. Our fixed wing aircraft are generally not doing SAR missions that that have to land without a runway/strip (generally too heavy to land without at least a packed gravel strip) and we operate in Alaska. Most SAR here is via H125 A-Star, Bell 407, or Black/Jayhawk. Soon to see AW-189s up north for SAR.

Thanks for posting these! This makes me want to buy MSFS2024 even just for the career mode, despite all the issues. With these types of career missions, I wish they would go more in depth and and take the opportunity to teach us about SAR search patterns, etc. instead of just having you fly aimlessly in this general circle.

15:31 May be unique but most cases the max flap speed is the white arch. So at least in this case you applied them at ~75 while the white arch is maybe 65-70. As for on ground, does the game suggest flaps while taxing/takeoff? I assume on soft/short fields it would, but on standard it may be saying to not use flaps on takeoff. or you could be taxing with them down vs adding them right before takeoff
Wow the career mode looks amazing! There is so much to do i'm very surprised, This is what the previous game was lacking, i'm definitely going to enjoy search and rescue missions especially at night time with no UI/HUD only the cockpit to navigate, its going to be an incredibly immersive experience.
Hey, great vid ! If you're wondering how to turn off the visual blue gates for more realism you can do that by biding a key for the option "show visual aid" in the settings :)
Yeah, that "max speed flaps" penalty is a complete nuisance 😭 Even when you take off, it penalises you. Having to take off without flaps is ridiculous lol

It would be a bummer to buy it and think "I know right where he is!" lol I expect they have the ability to do almost infinite locations so it's always random for every game.

15:32 what do you mean by it always complains about it? There is a flap extension speed for each plane, which you need to be within. Are you saying it yells at you even if your speed is good for flaps?
Ive tried this mission 8 times now, even followed your exact path to landing and I always get stuck a few feet after landing trying to taxi to the car. Doesnt matter where I land, how fast/slow I try and taxi the ground 'grabs' me and I cant move anymore even at full throttle. I'm (mostly) enjoying the game but the bugs like this are making it increasingly frustrating!
You might have parking brakes turned on by accident (or it turned on for some reason during the flight), make sure by pressing (CTRL + Spacebar) to release the brakes to see if that helps!
@@CowTown I wish it were that easy. Tried that repeatedly (you can see if they are engaged or not by looking down at the pedals. You'd also end up nose down if you landed with parking brakes on) Lands fine, moves 5-10 feet afterwards (mission changes to "Taxi to target) then stops. Full throttle does nothing, rudder/tail wheel steering does nothing,
Playstation boy here, MFS is definitely the 'game' that almost gets me to buy an Xbox, because man if I want to play all this. (I'm not a fan of maintaining a PC)

I had PC sat on my carpet for 10 years, dusted it about 3 times in that decade and you just update your drivers on major release. It’s very low maintenance and I used to only play console.
Great Video! I was trying to notice, does your aircraft feels uncontrollable at times? I had many flights that seem like the weather was over 60kts on a clear sky day. I also noticed that you received a Bad Weather Bonus on a clear day
Thank you! 🙂 Glad you enjoyed, as for uncontrollable aircraft I can't say I have noticed anything like that at the moment! But I believe it gave a bad weather bonus was due to flying around the mountain sides with updrafts if I'd have to guess. (But I'll take the extra XP either way 😜)
They need to fix the loading issues on Xbox because if I want to fly from Charles de Gaulle to Glasgow it kicks me out I’m also having control problems on the A320 and A321 being that it auto pulls up when it’s level flight
Best bet are doing either First Flights, Flightseeing, or Ferry Flights. Just make sure you go to Grass Runways! That's what I was doing for that requirement :)
Really just have to get used to the stall warning going nuts when close to landing. I've crashed 3 times doing these because I listen to the beep beep beep beep beep
Great video. Do you know which setting gave you airspeed, altitude, airspeed etc… in the cockpit view at the bottom? Also do you or anyone know if you can remove the panel from the front view?

As for where to find the setting its: Settings > General > Flight Interface > Cockpit Cam > HUD in Cockpit View (I have it set to off) and that same menu below that is External Camera if you wish to turn off the hud there (HUD in External View) And are you talking about removing the cockpit entirely? I don't believe that is an option but not 100% on that one!
I think if you start a company you can only do sightseeing at first but it's still a good way to earn money as you get the full contract money. I think for cargo company you need 35k credits. Not sure about the amount but cargo could be more profitable

It can be really difficult especially with rocks and boulders on the ground it's just trying to be as slow as possible before stalling to land these for the most part!
So was trying the heli sar missions but accidentally failed the second mission now the whole mission disappeared! Anyone know how i can redo the mission?
You're wanting to make sure you coming in slow with full flaps and just pop to the ground and let the incline slow you down (and when slow pull back and apply brakes to prevent the props from striking the ground)

Yes before this week’s update (which fixed this) you could be at 0 on the ground and it would complain about it.

I can fly and land in the absolute worst conditions in this game but I can NOT land this EFFING plane or any of the taileheel planes any tips?

Have you fully uninstalled and reinstalled the sim? If not I'd definitely start there and see if that'll help you get through the load process!

for me the plane just does a front flip so how can I make it so it doesn't when landing in this terrian?

I would recommend a reinstall of the Sim. Haven't had any issues loading into any of the missions in career as of yet.
