There is a "Nose Wheel Steer Axis" option in the control bindings. You can bind it to your rudder pedals or z axis on your joystick. It will work fine with the tail roter bindings also using the same control inputs.
If you like more in depth start-up checklists you can always change the level in the tablet, just click the level drop down and can select a few different options from simple to more advanced.
That's a really nice helicopter. Love your videos man. That is what I do. Figuring out how to start different airplanes and I am having fun lol and now I can compare your video with what I am doing and it is cool and helpful
By the way. To move your view with mouse and joystick you'll have to bind Cockpit view pitch and yaw axis for both joystick and mouse. That'll fix it :)
@@StevesSimStation Oh, that's weird. I had the same problem, and setting the right keybinds for the mouse worked for me. You also have to unbind the other keys that were already signed for the mouse cockpit look though, for it to work.
@StevesSimStation Helicopters DON’T use runways, they use helipads or designated TLOF (Touchdown Lift Off areas) It should be marked somewhere around the airport. Also, helicopters use rudder pedals for yaw control, it makes turning easier you can literally turn 360° without moving, you should try it. Also helicopters (and small airplanes) lose climbing power at high altitudes bc there’s less air for the engine, practice at any airport outside of the Rocky Mountains and it’ll be easier to climb and control. Lastly, if you push both rudder pedals with your _toes only_ it activates the brakes. Hope this helps you out! 👍🏾
As I mentioned on the Dreamsofwings video, the rotor start is not realistic in that the nominal main rotor speed of the H225 is around 265 rpm and the tail rotor 1640 rpm (approx. six times faster). Here they appear to be rotating at the same speed. This is not an accurate representation of a H225 transmission system.
