all the testers said that they don't have photogrammetry yet. But I can tell that the building is cleaner and better. You can do your own test right now with 2020 turn off Photogrammetry to see for yourself how the building look. Here a guy who shows both the same. ruclips.net/video/YnZNfbBpF_g/видео.htmlsi=X4odMHBfeJ80hAyN
put simply - the alpha used the original Asobo crap we were subjected to in Aug 2020 when they used Bing satellite stuff 8 years old at the time - now 11 years old in 2020 modified only by many Orbx sceneries used in the 2020 shots above The recent MS showing of the new sim - stated that the latest Bing Sat would be used for Australia - and the East coast hand improved - presumably by addons like Orbx developers again.
I can't wait to see if the early buyers still see cars driving over the top of bridge spans, buses and other airport vehicles and service personnel getting in the way of your aircraft, or blocking your taxi, automobiles disappearing or making incredible 180° turns as they travel down the roadways. And most importantly to me, will we finally be able to watch our landings and take offs with a few flicks of the buttons?
It's an alpha build from months to maybe a year+ ago, they are now testing the online infrastructure with this build. This is done on purpose so that the servers are tested in certain fields, so most graphics that are streamed are turned off and many other graphical features. The official release will look a lot better!
This is a silly comparison. I know you're an Aussie but to show Australian cities when the World Updates haven't been added to the MSFS 2024 version yet just seems a complete waste of time.
There were only two things that really annoyed me in 2020, clouds and shadows. It looks like they have greatly improved those, so as long as everything else works at least as good as 2020 I will be happy.
The main Question for me is: did 2024 need a faster Internet as 2020, because it works with more Streamingdata?! I living in a small town & and Internet isn't the fastest here. 2020 is okay, but my Internet have (Speed-)Limits😅🖖 I think many people have this problems...
I think this might be a big issue for FS2024. Perhaps they will add the ability to download and cache areas you want to prioritise, and subsequently only update changes 'on the fly'?
Finally! Some does a graphics comparison! Haven't seen the full video yet, but I can't wait to see! Update: I wanted to see the street level view in MSFS 2024, but massive improvements compared to 2020! Thanks for the video!
That was pointless. Comparing MSF2020 with photogrammetry vs. MS2024 Alpha with just autogen buildings makes zero sense. A good comparison would have been a comparison between the old and new vegetation close to the ground.
wtf they not got the real sydney at launch AGAIN this is BS what are microsoft doing this is so dam wrong happy now i didnt pre ordered it ORBX needs to redo it AGAIN!
Why are all your shots of MSFS2020 in close so we can see details, but all the shots of 2024 are up high and you can't see the différance?

I was going to ask the same thing until I saw this post! Seems a little unfair to me.
Exactly it makes that video useless
THANK YOU SO MUCH YOURE AMAZING :)
Thank you! :))
So, in short: 2020 has photogrammetry, 2024 doesn't (yet); the height map is higher res in 2024. Is that the whole point of this video?

The only thing you can tell is much improved is lighting & atmospheric scattering. For that alone it's going to be great.

The New DEMs and Lighting are incredible.
For sure, the lighting does look amazing
The close up of Uluru looks a lot better in MS24, but the city shots you cannot compare as no close ups shown for MS24.
Full *disclosure*, not full 'disclaimer'...
I can still see melted blocks.... Where is the difference? Also if you take shots from up high then of course you can't see the difference
Photogrammetry vs Autogen?
@Rezeid what about ADELAIDE?????!!!!!
so this serve really noting then ?
Wait - where is 2024 photogrammetrie? Right now 2024 looks much worse lol? Is this for real???
you do realise its a alpha build.... so its WIP
Yeah, unfortunately it’s a Alpha build only so it might look better on release. Fingers crossed
Unfortunately yeah, alpha build is WIP but I will update if photogrammetry becomes available!

@@tonaldrump69 i see - good to know! Do you think they will immediately implement all the PG cities we have now in 2020?

The main intent was just to showcase the lighting and possible changes to topography/imagery :) Appreciate the feedback though!
@@rezeidaviationit will be different final release.

Personally, for me, it was around the same, but I do believe it might require internet that's a touch faster than MSFS2020. Not too sure though!

Glad you liked the video :)
it is useless, totally, how come these youtubers dont know the purpose of this test, are they so dumb, answer , yes !!
You just earned a sub
I put an airliner in the community folder to see how it performs since they only gave us 3 planes to test.
Good idea! I might give that a try

Cos Fark Adelaide.
No Adelaide for you!
:)) hi
They have finally made the sun blinding too look at which is more accurate

another dumb comparison, this alfa is far form complete totally useless to compare.
Did you not listen to him say it’s more about DEMs and lighting ? 🤷♂️🙄
ainda bem que é só o alfa, horrível.
We will see if the final release lives up to the hype!
First
It’s gonna suck just as much as 2020. ASOBO is a terrible developer.
