That big wing EVO didn't seem that fast because in practice and in the rain they run it at low boost, and it seemed like he was also shifting before the turbo was spooling. When they turn the boost up it's a beast, there's plenty of videos on RUclips, you should check it out.

Affordable, robust and great potential for performace. People have been doubtfull about nobles volvo derived engine and ford st volvo engine. Every body with rigth mind would choose volvo engine rather than ford, and in nordics there are lot's of volvo powered ford race cars

K24 is to unsporty, the bore is way to small, therefore the stroke is to big. Its simply not designed for a sportcar engine! There are better options out there. For a very good 2,3-2,5L 4 Banger, you need a Bore over 90mm and a stroke less 88mm. Dont look at a batch or saga's, you have to look at the specs! With high boost you can recover the small valves, but a engine which is out of the box a better suited solution can beat a K20 or K24.
