Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. Just a few tips. 1. at 2.13 min: removing this plastic cover is not necessary when one just have to replace front sliders (Verdeck Aufsteller). So you can start with the screws at 3.25 min. 2. at 3.57 min. you need to be with 3 persons, 1 extra to push the control buttons of the soft top. 3. be careful at 4.05 minutes when the front slider comes out of the roofcassette. This action releases two springs, they will push the frontsliders towards you, also a push/pull metal wounded cable will come out of its hole. 4. at 4.10 min. you will need to release the white inner roof material, by pulling up the cable at the end of the inner roof, be careful not to stain the inner roof material because there will be grease on your hands after the handling at 4.05 mim. 5. if your problem, like mine, were two broken spring blades from the to Verdeck Aufsteller, you will have to remove the broken pieces from the front slider. This was one hell of a job. At 4.30 min you need a hammer and a drowel. You will need to hammer out the left pieces. Hammer the spring blade down and out. 6. next tough job starts at 5.22. Be sure jou put the springs back in the front hole/round opening. And be sure to put the two metal pins in the two round holes/bearings. Its is easy to miss the rear hole like I did and then you will not be able to fit it back. Then put the push/pull metal wounded cable back in the last hole. Then line up all the sliders carefully.
Does anyone have any video or instructions on replacing the rear cover part that goes around window? Mine has shrunken and needs a new outer cover for the back part any instructions would be awesome I’m trying to do it myself instead of taking it to the dealer
Hi, My 451 Cabrio doesn't close equally on both sides, this leaves wind noise howling at 30mph is there an adjustment to close the roof more towards the screen on one side. Thanks for any help
Great video on smart cars, well made thanks. But I have a smart for 2 and the roof recliner motors have broken and all I get to s warning bleeping. Is it easy to buy and replace roof motors on a 2009 smart
First, thank you for this video. It's moderately helpful, but how do I re-attache the cable? My cable came lose and is unattached. A full video on how to do it all would be a nice touch. Again, thank you.
@@cstevens2121 oh damn. It was an easy fix. I had to do it for mine and all that needed to be done was put the lock onto the plastic hole of the latch mechanism

Where do the springs that come with kit go? And how do actuator rods attach to front clips?
The sound on and off has to be the most annoying audio I've ever heard on a RUclips video
100% agree, I thought I was having a stroke… 😂
Thought my speaker was dying😂
What are the roof clips parts number you replaced?
Did you find the part or name of those clips?
Need a group as qualified in my area - ideas on how to vet a group ?
Hello do you have a similar video for smart 450? thx

Just put it simply (pretty loosely) in the last hole...
We’re you able to figure it out?
@@b-lionnetwork2039 No, I took it to an upholstery shop and they replaced it. Cost: $1,600.
