I used baking soda, course sea salt, and Epsom salt. I put it in the blender. And sprinkled it on the carpet and made sure I used the broom got it deep in the fibers.

What a nice guy to tell people who might not have the dough to call a professional exterminator like yourself so you make this video...take your time and trouble to video record then edit then upload and make other useful videos on your own dime. Well sir I must tell you how grateful I am to you and your unselfish compassion and empathy. You are what is still good about this world! You ARE the change we all want to see from everyone and the only way this world can change for the better is by starting with our own attitudes about our neighbors about strangers about how we treat one another and what we give of ourselves. What is our answer when the universe puts an opportunity in front of us or in our hearts or what events take place or unfold in front of us or are brought somehow to our attention what is our response when we are asked to step up step in or step back are we defending the defenseless? Are we stopping someone from being hurt are we giving our neighbor kind words solutions and help or are we gossiping judging and thieving are we disrespectful when we talk to our spouses or our kids are we quick to point fingers and yet never think we are wrong ever..,or are we taking a step back and trying to understand someone elses point of view? Are we holding ourselves accountable . What are we taking time out of our days to do to be aware and in this moment as the Creator brings something to our attention? You, made this video for people like me struggling to make ends meet...and I am saying thank you for your kindness and furthermore letting you know what a cool generous loving kind sacrifice you made for free for anyone who might need your help...for that again..i appreciate you! So to you kind sir, and your lovely family( im sure you are surrounded by the same sweet spirited souls around you ),from me and my circus chimps lol from my same intent and goodness sincerely and on behalf of my 6 kids and 6 grandchildren who are also loving generous and kind sweet spirits thank you for being the good guys...thank you for your thoughtfulness and divided we cannot but together we can. ^_^ 😀

Also can I use salt on my yard to kill the fleas? I know this is an old video and you might not be able to get this post but I hope you do.

If by refined he means smaller crystals, you could put salt in your blender rather than look for a "special" kind of salt. You can make your own powdered sugar by putting it in the blender instead of spending the money on the premade stuff, too.

If you want refined salt then put not in a blender but a small mill (like one that is used for nuts or coffee. I use this sometimes to make powdered sugar..works great. Putting salt on pet is not a good idea they can eat too much salt by licking themselves. Dipping them might be okay but sometimes salt irritates the skin. I would dip and then rinse and follow it up with one of the natural pet sprays commercially or one recommended on you tube.Remember to dilute aromatherapy solutions for cats.

Popcorn salt is the most refined you'll find over the counter. It's almost the consistency of powder. However, keep in mind that salt is corrosive to most metals. All it needs is normal humidity to your area in order to begin the corrosion process.

  • @TaffyAllen9

Fleas don’t like coconut oil (the Lauric acid). Rub Where they are if you see any on pets.. they drown and you can get those elusive critters! And the pets love coconut oil!!

  • @dalemarkwell1171

I had a single 12x14 room infested. I put 2lbs that I had blended to make fine, and swept it in with a broom. Then I put another 2lbs of regular table salt (not blended) on top of the carpet. I thought 4lbs in a room that small would have been plenty. There is no human or animal traffic in this room, so I left the salt down for 2 weeks before vacuuming.
Unfortunately, all that happened was a population explosion. I had vacuumed every day for the prior 45 to 50 days. During the 2 week salt trial, there was obviously no vacuuming. They just took advantage of the break in vacuuming to multiply.
I have since sprayed Permethrin and IG regulator, and gone back to vacuuming (this time, twice a day). This seems to be working, but these buggers are hard to get rid of. I used to use Temp SC Ultra, but I think they became resistant to it.
I hope that salt works for everyone who tries it. But it didn't work for me.

Thanks, it was to good to get advice from a professional. The question does this work with any salt has still to be answered, within reason of cause as one would imagine rock salt wont help much and Himalayan salt, well really that would cost a fortune. some have asked if Iodized salt would work I would like to know also, I would think so as the only difference is the added Iodine to the Sodium Chloride.

The cost effective way to deal with fleas on your pet is to throw them regularly in the ocean and let the salt of the ocean dessicate the fleas.
