I don't know why Ford didn't just make this a whole trim like the Power Wagon. They should of partnered with Carli for full 2.5" Pintop suspension. Add in some heavy duty axles with rear and front lockers, HD Hardcore T-case like the Power Wagon has, similar interior to the Raptor, full skid plates, Raptor bumpers with a stock front Wench..etc That would of been a truck worth the money their asking.
@@APGJuggernaut That's basically what Ford did, was offer the most basic suspension upgrade most people do with their trucks. I think a lot of people were expecting a Power Wagon competitor when they started teasing. Instead they got a slightly better FX4 package. Honestly seems like a waste of the Tremor title to me, could of just called it FX4 level 2.
Bradley Beyer this truck should’ve been a hi-boy. It’s definitely not an appearance package. It puts everything a rancher, farmer or gas field worker truly needs. It’s more practical for work use. All of the upgrades have also retained its full towing capacity. If you look at Carli which has been brought up, it lowers the hauling capacity of the vehicle. So with increased traction, ground clearance and water fording it is absolutely not an appearance package. As for a contender to the power wagon, Ford added some features just to put them in the same conversation but since most people don’t rock crawl and you just compare practical capabilities that will be used regularly then the tremor is definitely a contender.
Not a fan boy by any means, but I was able to get a 2019 Power Wagon for $49k OTD with all the bells and whistles. Its crazy that truck prices have gotten this high.
Chris Browne it’s the system where you can remote control the truck any where in the world. No matter how far you away from the truck. It’s a very nice feature to have.
The Tremor package is $3975. Ford just giving folks an easy way to finance tires/wheels and lift in the payment instead of losing it to after market. As others have said one can get an XLT Tremor near 54000.
If I was rich I'd buy a gas king ranch put on 40s a 6" lift, take off those power steps add rock sliders and move that spare tire to the bed then go crawl that beast
@Mcburek As engine option it has the best options unlike. Still waiting the ability for off road. One more thing is missing. No skid plate which is a huge risk in case heavy off road.
Mcburek it’s his money so he can buy if he wants it 1) offroad - check 2) big - check 3)- fuel efficient - check 4)- good for family - check So I think all the things he wanted is available in that truck (aside from luxury, you don’t need luxury to go off-road (depends))
Make sure your tremor comes with the comfort package (optional) otherwise you don’t get the seat heat/cool or multi function seating or steering wheel heat. Big mistake. Ford should add it automatically at this price.
Those Tremor shocks aren't labeled as Fox or King because they aren't made by a company like Fox or King. Nope, they're plain old Tenneco shocks with "Tremor" stickers on them.
I'm glad I paid 55K for my '18 F250 PS... I got the XLT with every available option, only missing lane maintain and adaptive cruise. Not interested in sunroof, or A/C seats... heated is enough, and I prefer cloth over leather anyway. The 7-camera setup is awesome btw.
@@RyanRKJ You mean lift it in the back of the 5th wheel so it would be even? I don't know anyone that lifted a 5th wheel RV, but will ask around. Thanks
I don't care for where the spare tire is.I once owned a Ranger with that feature.I live in the snowbelt, and mine was rusted solid in place. The only way to remove it was with a cutting torch!
An interesting note. There are several off-road videos, including one from Currie, that a front locker like those in the Power Wagon and Jeep Rubicon models is not the best front differential. They say the best front differential for off-road is an over-running clutch Detroit Locker. The Tremor doesn't have a Detroit Locker in front, but it does have a limited-slip with similar characteristics. Note: Detroit Locker is an Eaton trademark. These types of differentials are also sold as the Yukon Grizzly, Spartan, Lokka, and possibly others. The long wheelbase limits breakover. It defines the height rock the truck can drive over or slope it can crest without scraping. Instead of steps, power or otherwise, what it needs is a rock slider and should have one from the factory rather than Ford videos of it driving over rocks carefully selected not to be too tall. And note: there doesn't appear to any provision for a front wench. That means, while it has recovery hooks to be rescued, it doesn't have the ability to rescue itself.
Rumor has it that they teamed up with warn for a dealer installed winch. Warn just announced a couple winch options for Super Duty. None of them are half as clean as the Power Wagon winch so hopefully Warn saved the best option for Ford.
556x45 mm Yeah, but those are some crap “stock” Rancho’s with a new sticker on them I bet. Maybe some generic valve job on them. Limited slip is meh... It’s an appearance package, plain to see. A 2018 F-250 for example and this are equally challenged off-road as would anything else with that wheelbase - and weight. People will buy it, no doubt though.
Seems a little overpriced for a lift and bigger tires, plus noticed I noticed that some of the moving items in the cab seemed cheap like the cup holders in the back seat and the top glovebox struggled to open (maybe because it’s an early production model) One advantage it has over the Power Wagon is the Diesel

Donald Vest I think if ford added skid palates then it will decrease the approach angle, that’s my assumption
Yeah I'm not understanding that either. Not sure if they come on the Super duty FX4, but they are a part of the F-150 FX4 package.
@@DragonKnightX12 Only reason I can think of is to maintain a towing and payload capacity somewhat close to the normal models
Since it has a block and space lift, I’d say this truck is an appearance package more than a contender to the power wagon. Change my mind.
@@brianleasure1788 right, great truck but should have been available in all body configurations.
With all the cameras they are putting on these pickups it would be nice if they'd set it up for them to record in case of an accident
I don't mind the new trucks high price. Keeps my 2002 f-350 crew 4x4 7.3 larit at round $ 14000. Even with 300000 miles on it fx4 package.
Don't hold the step down with your foot. Use the menu. There are 3 selections, Auto, Off, or Out. Select Out to lock the steps down.
Not a fan boy by any means, but I was able to get a 2019 Power Wagon for $49k OTD with all the bells and whistles. Its crazy that truck prices have gotten this high.
Good review man!
which is better in payload and towing fx4 or tremor
Will the V8 have the same payload as the diesel and what can the V8 hall ?
Is that the system you can start/unlock etc the car even after you have given the keys back?
Chris Browne it’s the system where you can remote control the truck any where in the world. No matter how far you away from the truck. It’s a very nice feature to have.
Man that thing is beautiful blacked out like that
The Tremor package is $3975.
So the stats are exactly the same as the 7.3L powerstroke... Then whats the point of getting the 7.3L over the 6.7 ???
That tremor is the nicest truck ford makes right now in my opinion i love it maybe ill trade my 17 f150 for one in a yr or two
That is just a cool looking truck!
Amazing. Looking to own one soon
@Mcburek As engine option it has the best options unlike. Still waiting the ability for off road. One more thing is missing. No skid plate which is a huge risk in case heavy off road.
Mcburek it’s his money so he can buy if he wants it
1) offroad - check
2) big - check
3)- fuel efficient - check
4)- good for family - check
So I think all the things he wanted is available in that truck (aside from luxury, you don’t need luxury to go off-road (depends))
Mcburek there are that can a ford it😁
ILogic 1 brooo fuel efficient??? Lmaooooo
Make sure your tremor comes with the comfort package (optional) otherwise you don’t get the seat heat/cool or multi function seating or steering wheel heat. Big mistake. Ford should add it automatically at this price.
Can't wait until you guys get the Godzilla! I want to see those real life numbers.
Those Tremor shocks aren't labeled as Fox or King because they aren't made by a company like Fox or King. Nope, they're plain old Tenneco shocks with "Tremor" stickers on them.
80K and can’t even get a skid plate? That’s a joke.
People don't be haters
@@krystalloss5498 That's a valid complaint when it cost $20K more than the Power Wagon.
Can’t wait to get one!
You should do something with the Chet 2500 with the Alaska edition package
I bought an F-250 XLT Diesel 4x4 Crew Cab in 2003 for $36,000.00
It was brand new. What concerns me is that our money is worth so much less today.
If this is a lifted truck will that cause issues with 5th wheel? Thus only use the bumper because of the height difference?
Solution: lift your 5th wheel trailer too. Then take the whole thing mudding!
Selectable 4x4.... with hub lockout? Hmm would only make sense if the front differential had a lunchbox locker.
It’s a wheel and trim package, that’s pretty much it!
Protocol well, shocks, limited slip diff...
Nice but will be nice to see those feature in the f150
