Only just realised watching this - in the original opening scene Aerith stands up & almost determinedly walks out of the alley & into the street and pauses for the famous camera pullback - but in this version something distracts her (based on the music Sephiroth?) and spooks her into running out of the alley, which results in her bumping into someone & dropping her flowers. Right from the start of the game Sephiroth is there lurking in the background trying to change the way things go - which in turn causes the Whispers to manifest later on. With hindsight of how Remake plays out you can see it's all set up in this opening cut scene - it's not just an extra artistic flourish embellishing on the original - it's actually introducing & setting up what will become the core narrative of the Remake in a very subtle way.
Not only that, in the original ending Aerith has eyes closed and she opens them, it's the final moment of the ending. Here, she has eyes closed and she opens them...remake beginning is the original ending.

This music brings tears to my eyes. I just came back from the LA concert yesterday!! They played 2 encore pieces for us including Aeris theme and my favorite One Winged Angel !! They played every song I wanted. Best concert I've ever been to in my life. Battle Medley made me cry it was so good !! But honestly I teared up from Tifa's theme too , cause there was a lot of piano. Shinra's Theme and Mako Reactor were so hauntingly beautiful. The song "Hollow's" original Japanese lead singer made a guest appearance for us too to sing us "Hollow." I honestly thank God for one of the best experiences in my entire life.
Attended last night in dallas. Drove 7 hours there and then after the concert drove 7 hours back home. It was worth it. I was in tears for much of the concert. Electric!

Right? I think millions of us do. With the original FFVII it was the peak of possibilities for RPGs and game technology at the time, and the meteor striking the logo with the crescendo of the music seemed to strike home that fact in our hearts, and with the remake, it strikes home that a pinnacle of gaming has returned again as a new pinnacle for a new age. It’s so fantastic that it was able to do so, and that that meteor strike can have such a double impact on our hearts❤️!

Just bought tickets for October! Will be my first orchestra experience, as well as a live video game symphony experience ever. Can't wait. Used to watch Tour de Japon videos on RUclips of Bombing Mission and the Main Theme back as a teen in 2005, and I remember wishing I could be at something like that. I haven't had the chance to attend many orchestra concerts like this. I bought tickets for this show in 2022 or 2023. This concert was pure joy to me, and I'm not even a big Final Fantasy fan. Battle theme and Sephiroth instantly became personal favorites of mine! Long live classical music!
I went to the Osaka concert yesterday. The live performance was really amazing! The orchestra version of "Stand up" was my personal favorite arrangement.

How to personify the feeling of this. Not only the initial feeling of the notes, but when FFVII was released and we played it back in high school, the IT factor that cannot be put into words. This nostalgic and euphoric feeling when it was re-done so well during a time of unrest. Hell, I'm gonna have a hard enough time getting my boy to play FFVII and understand all of this!
I sat with a lump in my throat after hearing Aeriths few notes, and then my heart broke when there was no applause for these wonderful performance because it was an empty theatre :( They will get applause around the world soon!

Already got my tickets for December 29th in Atlanta! Final Fantasy 7 Remake had the greatest soundtrack in the entire franchise, and is a serious contender for best score composed for anything since the days of Bernard Hermann. Edit: That version of Stand Up was... interesting!

Only just realised watching this - in the original opening scene Aerith stands up & almost determinedly walks out of the alley & into the street and pauses for the famous camera pullback - but in this version something distracts her (based on the music Sephiroth?) and spooks her into running out of the alley, which results in her bumping into someone & dropping her flowers.
Right from the start of the game Sephiroth is there lurking in the background trying to change the way things go - which in turn causes the Whispers to manifest later on.
With hindsight of how Remake plays out you can see it's all set up in this opening cut scene - it's not just an extra artistic flourish embellishing on the original - it's actually introducing & setting up what will become the core narrative of the Remake in a very subtle way.
I love that, makes me want to know what's going to happen onward! Can't wait for part 2 👍

開演30分前には着席し、ステージ上を見ると演奏者の方々がそれぞれの楽器を弾いていました。TV等では見ることの無い何気ない練習風景を見るだけで自然と込み上げてくる物が…。
こんな当たり前の風景がとても懐かしく
このような状況でなければ、空席も無かったんだろうなと思いました。
ステージは静かにハープの音から、おなじみのメロディが心に染み込んできます。ここからは徐々に激しく、演奏者の方々からの気合いを感じつつ、それに負けないくらいのコーラスの迫力。たくさんの闘う者達 12:23 が最高の時間をプレゼントしてくれました。
万全の体制で取り組まれた、会場、スタッフのみなさん、演奏者のみなさん。
最高の時間をありがとうございました。
今度は気の合った仲間たちと賑やかに
帰り道では、みんなの感想を聞きながら
帰りたいですね。

This music brings tears to my eyes. I just came back from the LA concert yesterday!! They played 2 encore pieces for us including Aeris theme and my favorite One Winged Angel !! They played every song I wanted. Best concert I've ever been to in my life. Battle Medley made me cry it was so good !! But honestly I teared up from Tifa's theme too , cause there was a lot of piano. Shinra's Theme and Mako Reactor were so hauntingly beautiful. The song "Hollow's" original Japanese lead singer made a guest appearance for us too to sing us "Hollow." I honestly thank God for one of the best experiences in my entire life.
Attended last night in dallas. Drove 7 hours there and then after the concert drove 7 hours back home. It was worth it. I was in tears for much of the concert. Electric!

Right? I think millions of us do. With the original FFVII it was the peak of possibilities for RPGs and game technology at the time, and the meteor striking the logo with the crescendo of the music seemed to strike home that fact in our hearts, and with the remake, it strikes home that a pinnacle of gaming has returned again as a new pinnacle for a new age. It’s so fantastic that it was able to do so, and that that meteor strike can have such a double impact on our hearts❤️!

I haven't had the chance to attend many orchestra concerts like this. I bought tickets for this show in 2022 or 2023.
This concert was pure joy to me, and I'm not even a big Final Fantasy fan.
Battle theme and Sephiroth instantly became personal favorites of mine!

I am so glad that RUclips recommended me this video. I didn't know that the tour was going to be this year. My only hope to go to a concert of Final Fantasy was that they came to Spain. I have bought my tickets and my flight to Barcelona (I am from Spain but from Malaga, which is 1000 kilometres at the south). I am so happy now, I have dreamed with a concert for years.

I was present yesterday in Paris. it was crazy. all my childhood music revisited, in an atmosphere of madness. and what about "Hollow" .... brilliant.
Watching them perform "Let The Battles Begin" made me want to give them a standing ovation
How to personify the feeling of this. Not only the initial feeling of the notes, but when FFVII was released and we played it back in high school, the IT factor that cannot be put into words. This nostalgic and euphoric feeling when it was re-done so well during a time of unrest. Hell, I'm gonna have a hard enough time getting my boy to play FFVII and understand all of this!
I sat with a lump in my throat after hearing Aeriths few notes, and then my heart broke when there was no applause for these wonderful performance because it was an empty theatre :(
They will get applause around the world soon!
This was played and orchestrated perfectly. I could hear every instrument perfectly and right on beat. Amazing. music to my heart

Already got my tickets for December 29th in Atlanta! Final Fantasy 7 Remake had the greatest soundtrack in the entire franchise, and is a serious contender for best score composed for anything since the days of Bernard Hermann.
Edit: That version of Stand Up was... interesting!
This hits me in the feels. Such a masterpiece of composed music. The combined talent at work here is immeasurable.

I just came back to watch this again. You guys would make a ton of money if you made this into a streaming(whole concert)sort or for download that could be purchased. Take all my money if you can do this! Video Games Live has done it so hopefully this can be too.
