I believe that spectator clapping is big no no in traditional orchestra but here it brings scary cult like feel to it.
Every one hypnotized by Sephiroths awe.
I seriously hope for the remake part 2, that they introduce some kind of cult of crazed lunatics worshiping Sephiroth as the supreme being. You arrive in a city and have to do several missions as you discover this cult committing such horrifically unspeakable things that causes Cloud to lash out in a murderous frenzy, about to kill these madmen in cold blood as they have a sickening smile on their face, knowing their god would be pleased seeing Cloud driven to such despair, even if it costs them their lives. But then at the last second, Aerith manages to snap him out of it, reminding him that he's stronger than this. Would definitely add to the whole shtick how even though Sephiroth isn't there technically, he might as well be with people committing such unthinkable evil in his name.
@@Da1337Man Sephiroth *does* see himself as God, so he'd probably welcome it with open arms. Plus, the term "Advent" is used for the return of Christ, and seeing as this would be Sephiroth returning for the second time it could definitely be seen as a "Second Advent" like it's written in the AC version of One-Winged Angel.
You can briefly see a guy on stage clap towards the audience, so in this case it seemed to be encouraged.
I went to a gaming music concert performed by my cities orchestra, and clapping and acting like it was a normal concert was encouraged it was awesome
You are describing his die-hard fan base you know, many do think that he is a good guy, when he isn't one in the slightest.

Haha this kiilling me

Finally ican join an orchestra
Well ill never hear the music the same again. Lol

So, this is a ritual to summon Sephiroth in real life. Interesting.
They missed the opportunity to bring in Kenny Omega dressed as Sephiroth because his nickname and his finisher in the ring is called One Winged Angel (or Katayakou No Tenshin in Japanese) and have extras as banshee screaming maniacs doing the summoning dance with hissing steam and flashing lights envelop the venue and the fans are screaming in horror and delight as they witness Sephiroth coming to life in front of human eyes
well damn, it worked
It's not like Earth can get any worse.
@Kaz Zero
Sephiroth be like.... hold my beer.
Obviously failed or we'd all be dust
This is so frightening. You literally get fear when hearing this. Probably the best villain theme ever written for a video game.
Players who have never known about Sephiroth before: "What is this... boss music?"
Everyone else: "You gonna LEARN"
I'd say I like Kefka's more but this is right up there with it.
Definitely. Reminds me a lot of the Imperial March from Star Wars. As soon as you hear the first few notes, you just know.
I have never faced a boss stronger than sephigod i know there must be others but for me is sephiroth all the way.
I would throw in the theme for Gwyn, but that hits for different reasons. But if it is about showing how fucked you are...yes, One-Winged Angel is the best theme ever

3:38.
Edit: The execution gave me goosebumps. In contrast to modern renditions and remixes, the majority of this piece is quiet, almost laid back, especially when compared with versions like Advent Children. Once the last segment begins however, the vocals and the instruments alike begin rising in intensity, the clapping of the crowd seamlessly joining the orchestra and giving it power and rhythm. Shortly after, I imagine Sephiroth casting SuperNova, and as Meteor obliterates everything in its path, its catastrophic effects on the solar system are telegraphed by the strong percussions at (3:45). A sense of dread and impending doom overwhelming both the player and Cloud's party, the sun finally explodes as the music frantically picks up the pace, scorching Mars and Venus into nothingness and closing in on Earth...
That clapping transition with the crowd starting and stopping was intense, like almost everyone including the crowd rehearsed it lmao
Shits amazing 👌🏻
I actually like the preceding 8 seconds the most.
" the majority of this piece is quiet, almost laid back, especially when compared with versions like Advent Children" I actually think this is REALLY important, too many songs are filled to the brim with instrumentation, and this piece and the original gives itself space to breath, you really feel every component, and I think as a result it ends up being more powerful.

Just a reminder to everyone. Sephiroth has 3 themes. The one chosen by the planet, birth of a god, and one winged angel.

@@ahmaddeedatibrahim6631 Your face is generic.
this sounds sinister.. yet so grand, as if something, someone ominous is coming. and it gives this feeling.. the encounter with him will be epic. as for me.. i kinda has this image of sephiroth standing on a blazing fire, with his head slightly tilted down, and just staring at you.
Funny, thats pretty much exactly what he's gonna do
This is uh scarily accurate >_>
I would go as far as saying this is probably in the level of Imperial March. Just hearing it makes you imagine the sinister intents
3:38 its as if you feel not someone, but some_thing_ dark is approaching. something that should not be. an aberration against all that is good. And yet, you notice that the people around you are *celebrating* the arrival of this abomination, which is perhaps the most horrifying aspect of it.
Sinister, playful and pending doom.
Great rendition and was also amazed at how this song was composed (mingling separate scores together).
Nobuo Uematsu is a legend.
When you are so ahead of your time that u make a masterpiece that echo across the ages.
I love sephiroth's theme it's a huge mix of terror and beauty, in the game he turns into an angel which is portrayed to be beautiful and powerful beings created by God to save humanity, but that power has fallen into the hands of something horrifying and disgusting. It's amazing for someone to achieve this but it is also tragic for it to fall into the hands of someone created from hate and anger. Cloud and his friends are going through the 9 circles of hell just to save Gaia. It's in some ways a work of art.
you ever see the biblically accurate depiction of angels? like the different types other than the humanoid ones with halos and wings. I think sephiroth and his theme fit perfectly with those
The scariest kind of power, is power wielded to oppress, but by those that think they are doing the greatest good. That is Sephiroth. He's going to kill everyone, to save the planet.
@@ziontea7045 Sephiroth could be seen as a type of Biblical Seraph-a celestial or heavenly being with six colossal wings that literally means Burning Ones, hence the translation of "One-Winged Angel"'s lyrics meaning "burning inside with violent anger"-with a seventh wing in place of his arm.
@@ziontea7045, those are not biblically accurate angels, I say this because of the onslaught of memes that are famous right now and what other people are saying flowing with all of this and the trend spreading misinformation and not reality and facts about this because they don't really even know anything nor care about this, the biblically accurate are the humanoid ones which are depicted in churches, that is how they are described in the bible when they show up and in visions or apparitions and experiences in general when people see them or are visited by them, what you are talking about are some of the ones described in the book of Enoch which isn't even in the Bible itslef and isn't canonized and those aren't called angels, though they are celestial/heavenly beings too, and we usually say angels in general, calling all of them angels as a whole, like a race, like we call ourselves as a whole "humanity/human being" or "man/mankind".
The names of the ones that you're referring to would be "seraphim" and "thrones/ophanim (it's the same)".
I say all this because as a Christian that's always been a Catholic with a lot of faith to whom also faith is very important in her life to continue breathing all of this somewhat bothers me coming from people that really aren't saying the truth and are just spreading misinformation, lies and jokes like memes and people just flow with all of it since they don't even know about this nor care and clearly haven't even read anything from the Bible and apparitions of angels (or just outright ignore it and say whatever they want even not being true for this trend and to be relevant and to be able to create this jokes and memes which people believe seeing and hearing them even not being true).
It's not anything against you at all, I just needed to explain
The claps make the song hit even harder at 3:38.
Maybe Devil May Cry songs sometime?
When I was in highschool choir, my choir teacher asked what ensemble we can sing with the orchestra class, I suggested 1 winged angel, choir and orchestra loved it. But both classes butchered performing it haha
Hahahahaha come on man. I was really rooting for you until I read that last line...loved it. I laughed really loud and people started to stare at me. Good one though thanks for the memory
I mean it is a pretty hard piece lmao and I doubt high schoolers have time to practice as much as they should

Maybe i m too romantic, but i like to at least dream this.
It's a nice piece and definitely iconic, but... it's *definitely* not "one of the most difficult" compositions. Not even slightly close. ;) It's also heavily inspired by Carl Orff and not that groundbreakingly-original thing some people believe it is.
@@S4Luux well, i m total ignorant at music composition nor now how difficult this piece could be confronted with others :)
