    My silly way to remember the relationships:
    PTT - play table tennis (you play table tennis inside = intrinsic). Its heparIN
    PT - play tennis (you play tennis outside = extrinsic) By deduction warfarin is here.

    You can remember what drug is for which pathway by thinking of the alphabet. H for heparin is followed by I for intrinsic, W for warfarin is followed by X for eXtrinsic. (Heparin=Intrinsic; Warfarin=eXtrinsic). I just came up with this after watching your video, thanks so much!

    I always remember that PTT is affected by Heparin, because PTT has two "ts" next to each other (like tt, or TT) which resemble the capital letter "H" although it depends on your font/handwriting. This might just work for my brain only, but hopefully it helps others! :)

    I hv to tell you that this video confuses most of clinicians who memorized the cascade the way it is.
    1st: memorize the cascade as it is with Roman numerals
    2nd: remember that 2+7->9->10 that’s Warfarin which is given externally (PO) and thus affect the extrinsic pathway more (PT)
    3rd: Heparin is given IV, that’s intrinsic and affects F XII -> F XI -> F IX
    4th: heparin works faster (IV), but warfarin works way slower (PO)
    Pls remember that in clinical practice we rarely use either and now we use other oral inhibitors (NOACS) and SQ inhibitors (LMWH etc), which were not discussed here at all.
    In summary this video is way confusing and way way way out of date. Pls replace it.
