@@ethanstewart4222 I read in interview somewhere with Syd's sister who told them Floyd was playing one last show together and he pretty much shrugged and basically said "ok"

So sad what happened too him i think he could of been something great had he got clean sooner and not developed schizophrenia

One of my favorite parts/vocal performances by him.
You go into this song, knowing how it’s the most “universal” of all of Pink Floyd’s music, and know the background of how it is very much about Syd Barrett. Then you get to the second half, the “chorus”, and here you realize that the two lost souls in the fishbowl are Gilmour and Waters. And then it hits you that now it’s also about Rick Wright, and the extremely complicated relationship he also had with Waters. And then you’ve come full circle in realizing how universal this song is; it’s more than the four men on stage missing their friend, it’s all of us missing someone in our lives, be it a permanent or temporary loss (though I care to believe such loss is never truly permanent).

Perhaps it is also a call to us all to strive for a space, here, elsewhere, corporeal or otherwise, where we can truly communicate, see and appreciate each other for what we are, without thinking that we can tell.

One of my biggest concert going memories is being at the very front barrier all that day with my Dad, who was 67 at the time. Amazing to see that legendary performance from just a few feet away. Since losing my dad Bryan two years ago I've rewatched those magical 24 minutes many times. Wish You Were Here obviously more poignant now. Great memories of an incredible day.
You're a very lucky man Wayne. Epic performance. I was working behind a very busy bar in the Temple Bar area of Dublin that day. I downed tools to watch it. The customers respected my decision and left me alone to watch it. What a special day! Unforgettable historic moment in music history.

He's working on new material, so here's hoping you get the chance. Doubt any future tours will be anything like the scale of the last few, but with luck he'll still do them. I count myself lucky to have seen it three times, in 2006, 2015 and 2016.

No, maybe Roger's voice isn't the best, but gives personality to the interpretation and makes you can feel the nostalgic spirit of this song

Erm… not really. Even Waters admitted that he was really nervous during the show and didn’t sing well. This works far better with Gilmour singing the whole thing. All that splitting the vocal served to do was demonstrate once again how much a better performer Gilmour is.

Perfect song. Favorite part of this one is the sense of calm when it’s David and his guitar doing their duet.
In my opinion this is the greatest live performance/ reunion ever. Very emotional comfortably numb solo when u think the guys fell out for so many years to then play together again, one final time. Legendary. #thefloyd
