- On this day around 3:00 pm it was dark as night! it was really creepy! i remember this storm very well. I dont remember the date but i remember where i was before this was broadcasted. I was swimming at a country club. a really dark storm is rolling in. This is one of a few cells that would roll through the area. The lightning alarm sounded so i went home. a few moments after i found my phone, and turned my camera on, the eas warningcame on. thats it there you have it! (C) TORNADOFREAK1994

It's been a long time since I've seen your epic tornado warning videos and was obsessed with EAS when I was eight years old. I've grown alot older now, as I am now 14 years old. Such good memories ^^

lil Durk That happened to me 14 year ago when this video came out I was watching the weather channel I saw it got dark
and i am a trained spotter. when i got my spotter training the next day, i accutially got to meet the spotter hat reported thid tornado.
This same storm system prompted 3 different EAS activations here in southwest PA. I didn't actually see them, but people told me there was one activation for each type of severe weather that we get (t'storm, flood, tornado) within an hour.
Weird how its rare for some people to encounter EAS. In southern Wisconsin we've seen this about 7 times total this year.
Here in Florida, I've gotten several alerts but they were mostly on weather radio. Alerts I heard on weather radio are: Severe Thunderstorm Warning, a couple of rare Tornado Warnings, 1 Flash Flood Warning...yeah and on FM radio were Child Abduction Emergency and Tornado Warning. Never got any fancy Civil Danger Warning-type alert but that's only because those types of warnings are rarely, if ever, issued in my area.
Man I remember that storm. I lived in Country Club Hills at the time and I had to run home. It was pitched black and had blinding rain. By the time I got home I was soaked

Just prior to the warning being issued I was getting off I-55 at Weber road heading north into Bolingbrook, and I could see a large wall cloud slowly rotating and moving east-southeast. 10 minutes as I approached my residence the tornado sirens were activated in Bolingbrook.
That's such a present voice to tell you that you're gonna get sucked into a tornado.
this was one of those random things that came out of nowhere! it was really awesome though!!
Anyone who lives in Tornado Alley should always get down inside their basement in the event of a thunderstorm as they have been known to escalate into a tornado.

hold up… i think i may remember this day… i was two years old in 2007 and woke up to see it was dark outside. my dad joked around and told me that it was night time and i should go back to sleep, but it was actually 11am, and it was pouring hard outside. its a faint memory soo i don’t remember anything after that, nor am i completely sure if this is the eas involved with it.

That EAS computer synth voice is so impersonal. Its soo damn creepy.
This was the same system that came to detroit on the 24th... saw a funnel cloud.
I remember being stuck at school for an hour because of this.

Isn't your NWS office actually in Romeoville? I'm a weather geek too. I have a vid that shows a tornado, the warnings on TV, and you can hear our talking sirens! It's kinda long though. But you might be interested. :-)
@cookingboy3 actually its not even a computer moniter. its a tiny tv. i no longer have it. it got old.
I think it is in Romeoville. Thats what i usually hear when i get a message for the eas, so this must be different. Post the vid of the tornado + talkin sirens!
It's nice how they tell you when the tornado is coming lol. We know that a tornado is coming but they're pretty much telling us "Those of you in in Country Club Hills will die by 3:30pm!" We're already scared enough by the fucking thing and they gotta tell us that?!
ok i so glad i dont have to deal with that its like ur just about to go to sleep and boom a tornado warning and it just sounds all creepy right
I only get required tests...Shame I didn't hear a EAS when we had a severe thunderstrm last year.

@WinterWeatherII im not sure when they did, all i know is it moved from O'Hare international Airport to a small private airport in Romeoville
where i live, it only does the Red Scroll while on the TV Show it doesnt have that screen.

The only time I hear the girl voice is occasionally on our weather radio station up north in Rhinelander, WI (I forgot the frequency) when they talk about the record and normal highs for some days.
whenever i here the test one i get so scared even if it is a test it still scares me
it happens all the time during the summer cause we get alot of severe thunderstorms and stuff
@irlamvaleno5 sometimes they do and sometimes they dont. different places have a different protocal for which of these alerts they send. how it works. those tones you hear have a message embedded in them. this one, since it was a tornado warning. origionated with the national weather service. the national weather service issued the alert origionally over their weather radio. TV and other broadcast stations have somthing monitoring that radio. if an alert goes out it automatically re transmits it
You should hear the one for Australian Cyclones.
That's a Cable/Satellite EAS Feed. They both use the same screen, font, everything.

I never would have thought people would be recording the eargencie broadcast system on a tarnado warning for thier county. That's crazy. lol

i remember this one!! but on my cable u cant record it becuz the box freezes up when it comes on ( it reads EAS) i have comcast so i get this screen too
