Gullane was still the old Britt Allcroft Company, I don’t know if they would really be a contract to produce their own show unless it was being animated by another company.
What season 8 might’ve been if the classic series lasted a season longer. 1. Alfie Has Kittens 2. Jack Owns Up 3. Who’s The Boss 4. Oliversaurus 5. Mud Glorious Mud 6. Buster 1, Moles 0 7. The Tortoise and the Hare 8. Scaredy, Scaredy 9. Kelly’s Windy Day 10. Nelson Gets Carried Away 11. Byron Saves The Day 12. Another Fine Mess 13. The Lighting Tree 14. Edward’s Fire (An Edward and James Starring episode) 15. Henry Goes to Hospital 16. Oliver Gets the Bird 17. Percy and the Christmas Post 18. Unhappy Landing 19. A Near Miss For Henry 20. Duck’s Service 21. Thomas and the Important Visitor 22. Terence Takes a Bath 23. Bertie Saves the Day 24. Box and Coach Trouble (Basically Jack-in-the-Box and Edward Cracks a Nut combined into one story just like Whistles and Sneezes and Special Attraction) 25. Percy’s Passengers 26. Thomas and the Swans
It's interesting to think about this because I think the question of 'what if classic TTTE continued?' is broader than we might think. While I agree classic TTTE lasted from seasons 1-7, I think that on it's own is split into different phases in of itself. I think the best example I can use is the changes seen between TTTE season 2 and season 3, writing wise they're about the same, but it's the style that really makes these two distinct from one another. A big one in my book is color. Seasons 1 & 2 have a more muted color scheme to them, lots of washed-out blues and greens that I think really ground it in reality, while seasons 3-5 have a more vivid color scheme, making the colors flourish a lot more and lend to an overall more beautiful appearance. While I really like this style of TTTE, I've always loved the athletics of seasons 1 & 2 always wondered what season 3 and on would have looked like if they had stayed with the same style that those first two seasons laid out.
I have been doing some rewrites of the some of the stories from the Hit Era, to make it more classic and it the characters and stories a proper representation, and introduction. Making it like rebooting the Hit Era, but continuing with the Classic Era after season 7.
I heard they simply had new ideas for Season 8’s score but I didn’t Mike and Junior had actually composed a new score for that season. If this is true, I would’ve liked to hear it and maybe it is archived
It would have been great to see the nameboards continue and hopefully be a bit more unique in the later seasons as opposed to how for Seasons 6 and 7, they just reused the Make Someone Happy nameboards rather than continuing what they did with the Season 5 releases.
If Classic series did continued, that Season 8 wouldn't be that bad given that most of the main and secondary characters would be in-character, hadn't been for a ridiculous, nonsensical Thomas's writer Bible. In all honestly, I was thinking of doing a Season 8 but if characterizations are done correctly, and writing/rewriting stories to make it more interesting, and fun. I would've called my pet project of rebooting Hit Era Series 8, " Project RES" aka, Reboot Eighth Season.
What if Jack & The Sodor Construction Company (Jack & The Pack) Spin-Off Series was released during Season 7 in 2003 and had the Mike O’Donnell and Junior Campbell music/the Jack & The Pack episodes are part of Season 7 making Season 7 have 39 episodes in general with Season 7 being the longest season of the Classic Series and the longest season of the franchise in general
The reason it switched to cgi was because it was like 1.5 million for every classic season and they were losing money so they had to change it And besides nitrogen was good the animation was always amazingly realistic And it put a lot more life into the world of Thomas and cgi was peak at sodor and the lost treasure
Realistic I would use lightly for Nitrogen’s animation given that they made the engines bobble or derail when they bumped each other in a non realistic way.
Funny you made this video cause me and my friends have a project called “the gullane era: continued” it basically if the people that made season 6 and 7 made season 8-12
@@Stepney2009 I think TATMR should have been two separate movies: The Shining Time Station Movie and Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends the Movie. Having small models of narrow gauge, Mike, Rex and Bert would be tricky to work with and don't always work so good thing the trio appear in CGI which makes it easier.

Yeah and perhaps eventually go into CGI.

That would most likely tie in to this video, since the whole HiT buyout stemmed from the failure of TATMR.
