My head canon, is that the Bad Breakvan either consumed or sent away the truck to send a message to the other trucks: Behave, or else. Either the truck is in hell, or somewhere worse; I guess… *well never know…*
Most likely the truck Gremlin was dragged into hell. Plus, the story is made up by Bradford The moral for those trucks was to behave themselves or something bad or something traumatising happens
This was a very good story, Rheneas. The idea of the brake van being a hitman from hell used to dispose of troublesome trucks is an amazing idea. Great work!
The story of the Brake Van is quite intriguing. I suppose we'll never truly know what those trucks witnessed that night in the tunnel. My theory is that they saw something of unspeakable horror
This was certainly different, we’ve all seen the malice that was the spiteful brakevan but this was on a whole other level and I’m here for it! I really love how you’ve expanded on Bradfords lore through your own take while also bringing light to a very clever way to make a story seem uncertain on whether it’s real or not because it was told with the purpose of scaring the trucks into shape. I’m surprised a story like this hasn’t been made up sooner, well done!
I have a theory that the brakevan was or is a supernatural being, possibly even a demon that the manager has a deal with hence the brakevan being left on a siding by itself as if it's some kind of weapon or tool only to be used for extra measures It would explain why Gremlin just vanished without a trace, and the red light in the tunnel as well. Maybe the brakevan became some kind of monster and ate Gremlin, or like someone else here said in another comment, it dragged or sent Gremlin to hell which is probably what traumitized the trucks to the point where they can't even speak anymore Edit: I mainly got this theory because I remembered the animatronics in Graveyard Shift at Freddy's being similar in a way. The manager of Freddybear's knows the animatronics are alive, and feeds them night guards to keep them at bay. The story and lore for GSAF Implies that the manager made a deal with a demon to make more money, but in exchange now has to feed demons possessing the mascots of Freddybear's as part of the deal. I think something similar happened here with the brakevan. The manager either made a deal with a demon in exchange for something to help the railway, or maybe the brakevan caused chaos a lot before being given a deal to be used only for specific situations like the trucks being a nightmare to deal with by normal punishment and scolding, so the only way to deal with them is to have the brakevan do its thing
* The problematic freight cars after leaving the tunnel traumatized after witnessing the break van turn into a demon that drags Gremlin to hell. * "It's understandable, have a nice day."
@@graythepokemonartist6427 One could surmise that the van simply showed up one day out of the blue with no records of how it got brought in. That's probably part of why it stays in its own siding; because no one feels comfortable working with an unregistered brake van.

I love the use of Marv's scream from Home Alone, which make it Darkly cometic🤣.

Okay, that was quite a spooky story. I haven't heard a story like that in ages. It seems Bradford has a few tricks up his own sleeves. The part with the trucks in the tunnel has to be the most frightening scene of the whole story.
My guess is that they stumbled upon a place in the tunnel where the brakevan had been traumatised before. Maybe he's possesed by the ghost of his former guard, who I'd imagine likes to punish naughty trucks. 😊 👻 😈
But wouldn't that make the guard angelic? After all there are stories from the Bible including Revelation and Exodus where angels intervened to send the wicked to hell.
actually… in the Book of Mormon… (which I must specify is ‘Another testament of Jesus Christ’ Angels can be terrifying in their own right… especially towards those who have done wrong…)
My theory is that sparks from the sudden brake application set Gremlin on fire, burning him up in front of all the other trucks and causing the red glow. Once the fire had consumed Gremlin it was too big to be sustained by the limited oxygen found in a tunnel and suffocated itself before it could spread to the other trucks. Random brake applications would also explain why that brakevan was marked as 'do not use'. Either that or Bradford made the whole thing up.
