The Moral of the story: Don't be an idiot while driving and if your vehicle stalls on a crossing, DON'T try to restart the engine, just get out and run
No, always. In the case of railways always assume there is a train coming if you get stuck on a crossing. Get out of that car, call the police or nearest rail control station, after getting a good hundred yards from the crossing. The police and rescue services will be able to send word to and get all traffic halted. Getting out means that it is only a machine that could be hurt, as once said by a GWR Pannier "Engines can be repaired, but not living people."
Aw, man. There was more to that old line than once thought. Poor James... Meanwhile, kudos to The Buried Truck's impression of Richard! 👍To think he couldn't do a British accent to save his life. 😜
@@TheBuriedTruck Oh, man. I'm so glad to have this chance to speak with you. Sorry for the little comment I made on Carson's adaptation of "Percy's Ploy". I didn't mean any offense in the slightest. It's just that I had been used to hearing Jake's narrations for a good many videos on Carson's channel. He has such a knack for doing different voices and accents, not to mention ad-libs. You understand, right?
@@TheBuriedTruck Me too. 😁 Meanwhile, love your rendition of Duncan in "Rusty's Catnap". You put on a sick Scottish accent as well as a nice Irish lilt, as far as Tim Tipper is concerned. 👍
It's always a grand surprise to see you upload these spooky tales on your channel. No matter if it's short or long. Interesting to see another spooky story revolving around the Hawin Lake branch. Seems spooky things always happen there. Well done writing this story and having the Buried Truck narrate this. Keep up the amazing job and take care. Those extra minutes after the indication of being not made for kids. I wonder what are those extra minutes for besides being creeped out there.
This was a great story that shows real-life dangers, much like the story of Johnny, and human carelessness. If I were the driver, and my engine spluttered when I was approaching a crossing, the brakes would come on and the vehicle would be in park. You. Do. Not. Mess. With. Trains. They are powerful machines which are harmless if you remain off the tracks. IF you remain off the tracks. If I had to guess what inspired this ghost story... Probably everyday events. And, unfortunately, the ghost is probably not doing much. Everyone can tell people not to try and beat trains to a crossing, tell them the dangers of trains, provide countless examples, and someone's still gonna do it. I wish everyone wouldn't, but people sometimes don't listen, unfortunately, even when they should.
In a funny way, this story makes me think of Old Rattler, from your old story 'A Lorry of a Time'. Past stories becoming ghost stories, in a way. I like it :>
That was great! This is a good sequel to Haunted Henry and that was an interesting idea to have a crossing that is curse. If your vehicle stalls at a crossing run for dear life.
Wow! That was the best scary Thomas story! The Buried truck the legend himself and he has the best Narration skills! Great video shunterproductions! ❤❤❤❤
Henry and James have the wrong headcode lol. Unless paint is considered perishable goods. Henry may have a lot of fears but he is very brave. A gryffindor if you ask me
This one is, and I really hate to be that guy, was mid. Especially in the beginning. I feel having a close encounter at that crossing first, instead of a paranormal feeling, would have felt a bit nicer. It would set up how that crossing makes people reckless and could reveal the ghost when someone actually strikes the phantom. Its not a bad story. I just feel it could have been cooked a bit more in the beginning. Shunter always puts out bangers.
I know this comment is off the topic of this but will we hear more about the narrow gauge engines like Number 1 and him recovering from his large ememorie gap
The Moral of the story: Don't be an idiot while driving and if your vehicle stalls on a crossing, DON'T try to restart the engine, just get out and run
Literally. Vehicles can be replaced. Human lives cannot. life is precious.
@@kursk_kuku141yeah you are right
And in the event you're on a crossing and a train is coming, FLOOR IT.
trains cant stop within their line of sight, trains literally cannot stop in time to avoid a car
But what if your truck is sapient and begs for help? You can't leave the poor thing there alone.
4:57 he looks like Gordon
I do love some Sodor scares and it’s almost the Hawin line that’s the center point of it all
Hawin… bad things surround dat lake.
This is why whenever you are stuck on a crossing.. don’t be an idiot.. FUCKING RUN.
Almost always

Of all the ghost stories I've watched, this certainly takes the SHIVERS!!! And I never expected Mike to have a go at Richard here either!
Who was that engine that hit the lorry? It looked kinda like Alfred.
It was Alfred indeed
Yikes... What a story...
And also, if you break down on a crossing, don't do anything, just run!
Great that you gave Richard a speaking part.
That was quite the interesting story. Was half expecting a jump scare between 5:36 and 5:58 though. Still, that story was very enjoyable.

Lesson of the story: Never deny the fact of the supernatural as they might strike you back with a fright that will keep your mouth shut.

spooky
If only James would humble
Projection of the past, or lost spirit trying to find peace. Either way, it's harmless.
I love your videos man pls keep it up
James' double lamps mysteriously went out right before the crossing "crash" and came back on after he passed it...
I know this comment is off the topic of this but will we hear more about the narrow gauge engines like Number 1 and him recovering from his large ememorie gap
Jealous as James could be
I wonder what the story is with the engine that hit the car and what became of him or her?
Should sodor have better warning systems at level crossings like flashing lights, bells or alarms?
4:57 Oh unfortunate Alfred (98462?)
I heard that music in James’s Discovery what’s the music called in 5:01
Who let bro cook?
Because let him cook again.
I thought Mr Jacob Wellington was coming back
