Just got this cat back on my 07 gti. Super easy to install. Thanks for the video :))). Sounds so good on throttle. Kinda wish it was a little louder at idle but still have a downpipe to install when i go stage 2

The same exhaust I had on my mk5 gti. I sold it about a month ago and bought a r55 mini clubman jcw after one spanked my tuned gti and I just happened to find one not too long after that happened and I see why my gti got beat.. the jcw mini is pretty freakin quick!
They definitely are! I feel like Mini Coops have more problems than GTI's generally, but I'm sure it's definitely faster than the GTI! Ours is stage 1 and definitely isn't fast by any means haha
@@RatchetWrenches yeah the N14 engine (which I have) is problematic but if you’re mechanically inclined and aware then it’s not that bad.. no more than my gti which gave me problems just as well so.
Thank you! And yeah it’s definitely hard to choose which route to go, especially based on videos you can’t tell the sound without being there in person. But borla is definitely a great option!

Hell yeah! And yeah unfortunately it’s not the loudest on idle but like you said once you go with a downpipe it’ll change the tone completely!
I'll tell you from a buddy of mine with a 2016 GTI that the Downpipe changes everything. It's worth it for the sound alone
I have the ecs tuning 3” down pipe and 3” high flow cat, I ordered this exact exhaust and it comes in tomorrow I can’t wait to hear it nice video
