When I moved to NC I was shocked and really disappointed to see that in order to buy a pistol I had to either obtain my CCP (which I was going to do anyways) OR drive downtown and APPLY to my local Sheriff for a permit to buy a pistol....which would include a background check by the Sheriff. And once that permission was granted by the Sheriff, it was only for 1 pistol and only good for 20 or 30 days. After that if the time ran out or I wanted another pistol I would have to go downtown and obtain Sheriff permission again. How this is not "infringement" is beyond me. I do appreciate that once you have your CCP you can buy pistols all you want.
We have called the Sheriff 4X in twenty one years. 1st time response was 2 hours, 2nd time 90 minutes, 3rd time no one showed, and the 4th ninety minutes. Fortunately my wife and I are well armed and held the perps until the Sheriff arrived. We also have several sets of handcuffs.
@@2450logan We live in a rural part of the county and the Sheriff’s Deputy has a very large area to patrol. If he gets tied up somewhere he’s the only guy that can come. We need a few more Deputies. Just surprised no one came at all the 3rd time. Fortunately we had scared the guy off.

As current LE, along with the fact that people get horrified with how many times people get shot by the cops (i.e. man gets shot 10-14 times in Philly) do you thing 45 should be the go to round for LE because less rounds do more damage? Note: I've never had to shoot anyone with either caliber. But I've done hollow point tests and heard stories from war vets about 45 acp, and I don't know why LE goes to smaller caliber to horrify the uneducated public with dropping someone with almost a whole 9mm service pistol magazine

That brace design needs a stronger stock support and the red dot up forward near the the slide keeping weight forward on the brace design would help mitigate recoil.. and keeping red dot further away gives greater peripheral vision, just sayin designers think about it a bit more
One thing I would like to see is a 3-gun series on a very limited budget. Pistol, rifle, shotgun for as low a price as possible. Also new gun preference as this makes is easier to obtain. Some things to consider would also include the price of ammo for that gun and what budget ammo is best. My example is a Glock 19, Maverick 88, and Remington 783 (30-06).

African American man here, home owner, live in a good neighborhood, everyone's grass is well taken care of, quiet nights, snow is plowed, nothing wrong with where i live. I even live across from a 75 acre County park. But i learned quickly, no matter what you tell the 911 person (shots fired nearby, man with gun seen, suspicious car, even car broken into), police response varies from 15 min - 45 min. They simply wont get there when you need them. We have even had the cop show up asking about our reports of hearing gunfire, hear the gun fire as they are standing in the street, and they drive away/nothing we can do. It is for this reason i have gone from owning one 9mm sub compact, to 8 pistols and rifles, along with the agreement with my one neighbor - no more calling the cops.
Just bought a beautiful Beretta model 1951, mainly for fun target shooting, but also for emergency situations. Loaded with Hornady Critical Defense, that thing is super accurate and butter smooth to shoot! Yes, there is a mag limit of 8, but I can't afford an M92 😂
Just bought my first gun two days ago. Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport II with a Vortex Sparc AR I believe. I ordered some cleaning supplies and I've practiced taking the weapon apart prior. So when my cleaning supplies get here I can clean the bore, chamber, BCG etc. After buying a gun I see what people are talking about when they say it's addictive. You buy one then you want another. However I'll just stick to mags and ammo for now.
I'm more worried about what happens when they do come. I can handle a criminal. An at least partially trained individual wearing body armor and with better weaponry, the backing of a system with a "guilty until proven innocent" mentality against people who have to defend themselves against tyrants, and a president who approves of No Knock raids... You're going to need more firepower.
The stippling on that G26 is really tasteful. Usually most people just burn hole into the frame with a soldering iron, but this was really well done, plus the texture looks rough enough that you exfoliate your face's skin with it, or grate cheese for that macaroni pasta.

M240 with a couple of barrels and boxed ammo, and a loader. In many cases You only need to fire some blanks, good noise!

If you need a just home defense gun a shotgun and a glock is all you need but on a farm a ar or hunting rifle is also needed

@GetThoseMasks OffThoseKids Yes there is an intimidation factor for minor crimes like speeding or shoplifting but when people have problems on the streets they get solved on the streets. Cops around the area or not. And they don't defend people they just come when the crime is over and write a report. They are a nuisance. When I dial 911 its for the fire or ambulance. I will never call for the cops.
