@Dwayne Branam we fish Tom Steed every now and then. Only once this year and didn’t have much luck going after walleye. We have only had luck with some blues, but nothing to write home about. I’ve seen some nice stringers of walleye coming out of there. We probably need to go back and hit it harder. Do you fish there often?
I fish at Steed every chance I get, I did really well using cut up sand bass for bait. I live in Hobart so it’s not far. I also go to Lugert every once and awhile to. But, there are to many pleasure boaters and jet ski’s there sometimes.
Probably didn't need the splasher with all the boats going by.haha I was ready the comments sooner does have some big ones and it's like 80' deep in some spots but it can get very windy. I live about 20 minutes from there
@@BooneBoys I have a pontoon with the blue top. After seeing it come by again it wasn't me. I also have a white and blue bass boat. Looked like you had a great time.
@@oklahomaokie first time on Canton and it was great. I was surprised the average size of the Hybrid were bigger than other lakes. Maybe it’s just a one time thing. We left to try other spots to check out Lake and didn’t really get on fish anywhere else.
@@BooneBoys I rarely catch many where you were but I rarely catch as many as you guys did. I couldn't even catch one last night after the rain. I figured it would be good but boy was I wrong.
I would have thought the bite would have been really good after the front. We must have been on a small pocket of hybrid because the other boats from what I could tell were catching mostly white bass. I’m thinking we might try and get back out there this next weekend. I’d love to get on some of the walleye. That was my goal initially for Saturday.
@@BooneBoys yes. I prefer blade baits in the winter, I don’t know what it is but the striper go crazy for it when it’s cold but yes, I’ve dead sticked tons
Heck of a morning! I’m the one that asked you if you were filming this morning lol! I guide on Canton Lake. Glad to see you guys get after em!
@Bowan Nyberg hey! Man what an awesome lake you’ve got. We tried a few other spots but only one really produced. Hope to see you out there again soon.
Watching kids catch fish is great!
@toddbalcom379 thanks! I have fun trying to put them on fish.
Holy cow!! That was an amazing trip! That is exactly what I plan to do someday!
@Heath Bush thanks! It’s some of the most fun.
I love your channel.
It's ALMOST as good as going myself!😂
@Dan Jaquez we really appreciate it!
Boone boys still watching your cool videows from oregon
@Richard Heath thanks a lot for watching!
Looks like lots of fun!!! Good video
@Mathew Getlin it’s hard to beat Hybrid fishing when it’s on! Thanks for watching.
Well in the last year you've been to Canton lake Benny times and done awesome bro... Took up with you soon now that we're here from Taiwan
Welcome back!
Wow, amazing!
@Mayer Rezaei thanks!
Great job! Have you ever fished Tom Steed. Caught several nice blue cat Saturday morning.

Lugert was getting packed when we were getting off around 1 but only a handful were fishing. Keep it up and maybe I’ll see you at Steed soon.
I used to catch lots of 4-10 pound hybrids in that lake and 14-16 inch crappies…I moved and haven’t been there for several years.
I need to try different lakes. I live on Oologah and fish it often.
I’d like to get out east more, but seems like if I do I end up chasing stripers at Texoma.
Great day!
@Joe it was an awesome trip. Wasn’t expecting to pull that much from the lake.
Great video! New subscriber. Never done any hybrid fishing but want to learn. Can you describe your setup, line size, hook size and weight?
Hi Mike! Thanks for supporting us. I’ll do a video shortly on our live bait setup and our deadstick setup. Be watching for it shortly.

Ha ha. I’ve heard great things about Sooner. I’ve heard it’s fished heavy though, at least more than the lakes out in the western part of our state.
What day were you on the lake? I fish there often and think I saw my boat.
We were there Saturday. Which boat was yours?

If you want your boys to catch striper as big as them head to Sooner Lake north of Stillwater.
@VitaminD we would be in for that! I’ve heard good things about that lake. Is it easy to find shad there?
@@BooneBoys I’ve never used shad there but I see them everywhere. Winter time I use blade baits and summer I use swim baits.
