This was one of my favorite fight scenes growing up. This movie made me a Jet Li fan for life.
Yes indeed....I still watch it from time to time Jet's Wu Shu is impeccable....
I'm no kungfu expert but I loved this movie back in the day too, the scene earlier where he fights that old guy in the hills was epic too.
Same bro. I went into this movie kind of skeptically, as I was a big Bruce Lee fan and I knew that this was retelling the story of Fist of Fury. I liked Jet, but I was thinking this is going to be a weird remake. The first dojo fight won me over big time. This became one of my favorite martial arts movies of all time.
while this was a great fight scene, I actually prefered the one where he faced Chin Siu Ho and Yasuaki Kurata. especially the latter where they countered each other's joint locks and throws. Some Aikido moves as well.
@@sara.cbc92 I agree. That one is actually my favorite, and the one I've rewatched the most.
Fist of Legend is one of the finest pieces of martial arts cinema ever made.
I think what I like about Scott reviewing these fights, is that he turns into a fan-boy like the rest of us. Thank you sir, it's much appreciated.
same here!
In one of his YT episodes, he did admit that he becomes an action and fight nerd watching these movies and it all made me admire him more.
I've watched this fight scene countless times. It's nice seeing it from Scott's perspective.
One of the greatest Jet Li movies, and massively influential on me as a kid. Some of his best fights on film
2 me it's Jet best work, with Twin Warriors a close second & Tai Chi Master. Jet & Donnie got it n on Once Upon A Time In China
@@dominiquejones3805 always tough to chose….. I’m fond of Fearless, though I love the Donnie Yen fights from Hero and Once apon a time in China 2. I will always have a soft spot for the first trilogy of movies he made in the Shaolin series as well 👍🏻
This whole movie (well between this and Enter the Dragon) made me fall in love with Martial Arts, especially the movies.
These two and Drunken Master for me.
Billy Chow portrayed such a formidable opponent. This fight has great momentum and style, one for the books indeed.
My father is a martial artist, introduced me to all the martial arts actors from back in the day. This movie was one of my earliest, and Jet Li remained in my ❤️ 4 life, Bodyguard From Beijing & My Father Is A Hero!! Classics!!!
An all time favorite fight scene!! I can watch that movie over and over again and never get tired of it!
YESS MORE BREAKDOWNS PLEASE , you're a martial artist and stuntman so it'd be great to see always the insight
Scott and Tony Jaa are the new Jackie and Jet Li.
I love how you are a fan of the art form that you practice Scott. It's like going to see another artist gallery show.
Its one of the best fight scenes in cinema history
All the fights in Fist of Legend were scenes of art. Yuen Woo Ping at his best.
Billy Chow always amazed me in this fight scene. Fighting in that uniform with the high leather boots could not have been easy.
Real-world kickboxing champion. He hits hard even when he's not trying during filming.
Billy is the best choice for final boss.
Billy has fought most of the greats, great fight scene against sammo in eastern condors, against jackie in miracles... also yuen biao in dragons forever
Dick Wei is another martial artist who fought many greats. It's sad that Billy Chow didn't vs Dick Wei before.
@@michaelg4158 Dick Wei was awesome. Another thing about Dick Wei is that dude just looked really good in a suit and tie. He looked like he was born to wear that outfit.
The amount of times I've watched this movie.....loved it! This one, and Once upon in china are my fave!
That is Legendary Martial Artist Actor Jet Li. Two thumbs up Scott.
A lot to learn from Jet li. A very wise and calm and self control person.
Dream come true ... My favorite action star talking about my favorite Jet Li movie.
This fight scene was fantastic! Even though its with different people, the intensity of donnie yen and colin chou in Flashpoint was just as incredible.
Bruce Lee, JCVD, Chuck Norris, Bolo Yeung, Tony Jaa, Jet Li, Donnie Yen along with yourself (Scott) have been my too fav martial artists of all time.
Thank you for sharing your skills to the world! In so many ways you live up to those words as being “The most complete fighter in the world”.
Cheers 🤜🤛
🐉☁️
Not sure about Bolo. He's big but slow.
Wow, can't agree more. Flashpoint last fight is also my fav
makes it better when you walk us through it and explain not just the moves but how they are carried out. you even compliment each fighter on what they bring to a scene.
This fight and the one against the guy in the courtyard when he didn't want to fight initially so was being evasive/defensive until they started talkin about his lady then suddenly he gets the Bruce Lee stance. Chills.. Just amazing amazing fight scenes.
I actually prefer that fight and the one with Yasuaki Kurata to this one.
"Morpheus Vs Néo" scene, yes! Bien vu 😎
This fight has such a good story telling, the way they show Billy's character as a force of nature, the height difference is exaggerated with camera angles, he no sells, they show the power of his kicks by exploding shit, and jet slowly works him down, and by the end he has answer to all the moves they setup in the first exchange.
OH DAMN, this was one of the greatest fight scenes!! Haven’t seen in a long time! Good stuff sir!!
I absolutely love this film. The fights scenes especially the last are so visceral. You feel every blow. So invested in the action ❤❤❤
Fist of legend was my favorite martial art movie ever...❤❤
Fantastic fight scene and great commentary.
The fight Jet Li and Donnie Yen had in Wong Fei Hung was so great, I loved the trilogy alot as a little kid because there wasn't much entertainment back then when my parents were working and all I had were tapes of old martial arts movies, anime that my aunt sent to me from Hong Kong to the UK. I remember pretending to reenact Jackie Chan's shopping mall tower jump scene by jumping from the top of the staircase into the couch below. No idea how I didn't break my ankle doing that again and again. 4 year old me was so stupid back then in 1993
proud to had in on vhs used to watch it all time
One of my all time favorite fight scenes. Profile shots are always the best, and the fewer cuts, the better.
"Fists of Legend" and the Once Upon a Time in China" movies were my favourite Jet Li movies growing up.
The Wong Fei-Hung character he played was a real Chinese martial arts folk hero but the movies themselves are fiction.
Does anyone in the UK remember the name of that guy on Channel 4 or 5 I think it was that used to play all of the good Hong Kong Kung-Fu movies in the 1990s?
I used to tape record them on my VHS tapes back then and had a huge collection of Kung-Fu movies but I cannot remember that guys name or his show.
I spent hours watching those movies and practicing those moves and forms in my bedroom and on my punch bag.
That punch bag was my real Kung-Fu brother and the TV was my Kung-Fu master.
SCOTT AND JASON...... MY FAVOURITE OF ALLL
GOAT Action film 🎬 🎥 🎞
Scott your taste is impeccable 👌🏾
Ah I was obsessed with this movie when I was wee!
One of the best Jet Li movies!!!
That was so awesome! Thank you for everything Scott Adkins!
Love this, hope you do more of these
Great breakdown Scott. Much love and support from a big fan!🇺🇸
Waiting for more of this stuff. No need for tops and comparisons, just great fight scenes with some commentary from a martial arts legend - Scott Adkins. Could be a great thematic playlist for the channel.
It's a great film, so many great fight scenes.
👏👍🫡 great fight scene & breakdown. Could watch these all day.
One of Jet's defining movies in his career. The dojo scene inspired the fight training with Neo and Morpheous in Matrix. There are 2 or 3 hits where Jet was doubled but overrall minimal stunt doubles and wirework.
Massive fan of Scott Adkins.
Amazing fight scene and great breakdown Scott, funny and educational!
Scott Adkins iz my All Time Favorite Martial Artist!! I Only Hope to Have the Pleasure and Honor of Meeting Him OneDay!!💜
Great film!
@5:09 - "I did that kick... Undisputed 4... without a wire, against Martin ford who's 6'8" "
That's why you're one of the greatest but underrated action star in this generation!!
I surely surely wish you would get the attention and recognition you deserve.
I really like these new videos of you breaking down hand to hand fight scenes from films. Great stuff. Cheers from Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬
Scott A. youre a legend yourself man. youre so dialed in with these fight scene breakdowns. just wanted to give a shout out ✌
I love it when you do breakdown sir 👍👍👍

My favourite Jet Li film ..hands down
Love the fight scenes in this movie. Hell ya Scott!
Please do more of these!!!
Your one of the best Scott...great work sir
MORE FOR THE BREAKDOWN PLEASE,
Mannnn this is awesome😊
The best scene that indicates Jetli's speed is earlier in the courtyard training scene with the apprentices. He's practices air punches and His movements at about 3 times the speed of everyone else.. Amazing
Scott, you the man!
Jet li vs the Twins in Kiss of the dragon next pls!
QUE HERMOSO ERES PARA MÍ ❤️😘💋🌹 Gracias SCOTT MÍ AMOR ❤️😘 TE AMO TANTO 🥰🥰🤩🤩😍😍😘😘❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹🌹💋 💋🇻🇪 🇻🇪🇻🇪🇻🇪
I bloody love martial arts movies
Thank you Scott. I think it's great that we're all talking about Bruce Lee with you and watching the film. Really great.
Love this movie so much. I only watch it during special occassions or before bigger choreo gigs. It really amps me up and I never want to lose that feeling. There are only a few fight scenes I love so much that I intentionally try to avoid them to never get used to them.
These breakdowns are awesome!
Scott you are always the best fighter 💪
So good! Love this!
You are a legend Scott
One of my favorite fights
Actually Jet's scene in Kiss Of The Dragon where he takes down a gym-full of martial artists is on of my favorites or the Twins fight. Heck, do those too, Scott. Love Jet Li!
My favourite Jet Li scenes are actually from Lethal Weapon 4. There's something about the realism in the techniques...
It was this fight that made me a fan of martial arts films...
Yo Adkins. Always good.
You are and always will be my favourite martial artist, stuntman and action actor. I wish nothing but the best. 👍👍👍
Awesome love it
The beginning of the fight where he headbutts the other guys fist is brilliant
YES!!! I love seeing your break down fight scenes from the 90s. It was a very special time. Will you fight breakdown more of your fights too?
This is going to be good!!!
So awesome fight
I love how ur also a fan of great work and great Actors & Martial Artist. Just subscribed notifications bell on!!!
This is the 1st jet ki film i eve4 saw
I bcame a fan right away
Nice one of my favorite Jet Li movies.
Jet Li, the black mask(did not know it was dubbed at the time) was my Introduction to Jet Li and a movie later I was getting his non english ones with subtitles. To this day, The One is one my favorite movies, even if it is a bit cheesy. Also Jet Li doing his Drunken Sword is something else, ive seen the boxing, but with a sword, you never know when it comes out, super fast, most likely when you are off balance as you try to adjust to his "off balance". He is an amazing martial artist who started to do acting and I do not think he have done a movie I h8ted?
Black Mask is highly underrated
Big Up Scott Adkins. 💪🏾👌🏾
One of the best Martial arts movies ever made
Great stuff
Scott é um lutador e tanto
Some of my favorite fight scenes are in this movie. Especially when he fights the Japanese guy who plays Funakoshi. This is my favorite fight in the movie and one of my favorite fights in general. It would be awesome of you did a breakdown of that fight as well!
I FREAKING LOVE THIS MOVIE
my favorite jet li movie ..man so many great iconic martial artist played chen zhen ,jet li, donnie yen, jackie chan, and of course the legend bruce lee
Been waiting for u to do this one in particular. Much obliged
AWESOME Film🔥🔥🔥
Scott is an awesome martial arts role model. Cherography or not the work put into everything inspires me to do my best. Awesome stuff mate!
Grew up with Jet Li and his Fist of Legend based off of Bruce Lee's older film. The fight between him and the general at the end is some of the best cherography action.
Such a dope movie 🔥🔥
Miss u boyka
