I still feel deeply saddened thinking about how amazing he was and yet passing away so young and everything he could have done. But he was also the inspiration for so many.
For me the most tragic thing about his legacy besides him dying is that Bruce Lee athleticism has overshadowed the BRILLIANT mind he had. The philosopher, innovator, motivator and revolutionist will always be in the background of his legacy.

Loved your commentary, finally someone who recognizes the greatness of that scene. I think the fight in the cave was by far his most outstanding performance on screen I wholeheartedly concur, and the lighting is absolutely breathtaking. You can see each bead of sweat.💧
Wholeheartedly agree. His physique here is quite simply astounding, plus no wasted or superflous motion, just direct, effective actions. Bruce, at his absolute peak here - makes his passing all the more unbearable - he clearly had much more to give in his life. I still believe foul play myself. Yes Betty Ting Pei gave him a tablet for his headache, whilst he was at her apartment, but I personally don't think that's what did for him. Reason being, in May of 1973, whilst dubbing ETD, he collapsed and had siezures and was luckily rushed to hospital in time, where it was quickly established that his brain was swelling, so the doctors took the appropriate action, and saved him on that occassion. Betty Ting Pei was not involved on that occassion, and no headache tablet was administered. So somebody had to have either slipped something into his food or drink, or perhaps he sustained a blow to his head either in rehearsals or actual fight scenes. It had been reported that he'd received several blows to the head during filming - whether accidental or otherwise is still unanswered, but rather pointless to debate now anyway. He famously had arguements with Raymond Chow on set, and things became so heated that Bruce had to sign a piece of paper to say that he would refrain from doing Chow physical harm. Bruces' future plans after ETD, were to attempt to bteak into the US movie market once more, following the success of ETD - everyone already knew they had a winner on their hands, and still years later, it's not hard to see why. My own feeling is that Chow was trying to tie Bruce to movie making projects in Asia, whilst Bruce wanted to go back to Hollywood and prove a poit to those who had snubbed him previously, that he was, indeed, the real deal. I think that Chow thought if he couldn't benefit from Bruces' undoubted star power, and all the fame and money that went with it, he wasn't going to let anyone else get their hands on the prize either. Others may have other opinions about Bruces' untimely demise. All of the foregoing is simply my own opinion.
Excellent evaluation and commentary by Scott. And Enter the Dragon just never gets old!!! I still watch it to this day. Bruce, you are loved and missed.
Enter the Dragon and Rumble in the Bronx were the first DVD's I bought as a teen when I received a PS2 as a birthday present. Still in awe when I watch it too.
Enter the Dragon is/was such a perfect film; great storyline, great supporting cast, great action, great music and Bruce Lee - the whole atmosphere of the film and where it was shot puts it on another level. I've watched this so many times, it's one you can just keep going back to.
My favorite Bruce fight is Him vs Chuck in Way of the Dragon I think that fight was kinda the benchmark for the other epic martial arts showdowns that we've had after that fight. The pacing was great, the moves and choreo are still to this day actually still amazing and still holds up.

@DM-ei6oo well, Bruce could have and should have just walked away from the fight. Chuck's character was so injured, he posed no threat to Bruce's character. So why kill him??
Chuck was the one that provoked it even with his broken arm and leg. Bruce knew he wasn't gonna stop so killing him was just the best solution but for him Chuck went out honorably that's why he gave him his Gi at the end of the fight.
Know what Scott, the way you narrating, as Bruce is Fighting, says it all! That’s how brilliant this Man was. Even to this day, I can still fill the prowess of Bruce Lee.
The one and only Bruce Lee, superstar martial artist of all times, period! A great positive evaluation of yours, bro! Scott, I love your movies, too, especially ones with Ninja, so continue them. Your moves, especially kicking are really outstanding! Bravo!
Hi Scott, my wife and I just bought all of Bruce Lee's films on the streaming platform one of my favorites is 'Way of the Dragon' with Chuck Norris they never get old watching pure MA classics.❤😃👍
Bruce is still unmatched when it comes to the intensity he puts into his fight scenes. He doesn't need to be flash, because he's intensity enhanced his simplicity of moves, making it all feel very real in the moment. You do a good job with the intensity you put into your fight scenes too! I can really feel that your character is in an emotional state, the anger, the pain, it all adds to the fight scene.
When you watch this fight scene, you realize that Bruce was evolving everyday. His JKD was evolving to greater heights, he was truly the embodiment of simple, effective, efficient striking. This is phenomenal to watch!!

Bruce even said he did not fight like this in real life. These moves were for show, to look flashy in the movies. This does not show Bruce's fighting technique evolving as you say...since this is not how he fought in real life.
Actually you are right because these moves were deadly, throat chops etc. but you can clearly see his art evolving from his 1st movie to this movie. Of course this is choreographed and made flashy for the movies. He said the nunchucks were a piece of crap but they were awesome for the movie screen. But if you can't see that his art has evolved then you need to use a keener eye. And I also beg to differ I'm sure some of these techniques were used in real confrontations if he was in any. Stop hits/kicks, feints, non telegraphic motion, these are all written in private notes that we have been able to see because of people like John Little.
It used to look pretty easy compared to the later martial arts films and stars who performed impressive techniques. But the older I get, the more I realize what an incredible presence and charisma this man had. he lives every kick and every punch he throws. This is not the case with other martial arts stars, although they are very, very good.
Kudos to you sir, to the respect that you show that which came befrore you and your continued tradition of great movie martial arts. Thank you for the sharing the expertise of your craft in each film outing!
Mr Scott Adkins I appreciate your take and unwavering respect for my mentor of that era which makes you my current mentor along with Mr. Donnie Yuen. Thank you sir. Much love to be an extra in your flick.
I'm so happy that you made this video. I'm totally there with you in awe and adoration of this masterpiece of moving art. There's nothing quite like it. I think the thing that separates Bruce from everyone else is that he makes you believe it's totally spontaneous. Even though I know it's choreographed he fools my brain into seeing him react creatively, nano second to nanosecond, with superhuman reflexes and terrifying speed. I share that look on your face, the reverence, every time I see this.
Scott, great breakdown of the all-time classic martial arts film Enter the Dragan. Bruce Lee was a true master. You mention his prowess as a martial artist, I saw Enter the Dragon when it first came out in the movie theater as a 10-year-old. Let me tell you I was blown away then and I am still blown away by just how incredible Bruce was as a martial artist!
Hi Scott , just want to say that you are brilliant to watch on film , you are up there as one of the of the best martial artists especially in movies, to me you like Bruce you do so many things , unseen or very difficult and different to do , Bruce deserves the admiration and love he gets but you and a few others , not many really will also be talked about like this in many years to come ,
It is not so easy to be a master and at the same time show humility. It is more typically human to be full of yourself and believe you can beat anyone. But for that reason I really do revere Scott adkins . He's an excellent example to kids just starting out in martial arts. 👏
Mr. Adkins, I wish I could do a fight breakdown on you as well. You are one of my best martial artists. It's amazing to see a hero do a piece on another hero. Now that's what we call respect! Thank you!!
@scottadkinsofficial what a great breakdown man! So spot on. His presence was so emotionally driven. What a true work of art from so many levels: martial arts wise, humanity wise, physically, emotionally, everything! Nothing better!
Well, that was a breath of fresh air. No arguing, no disappointments if he was the best. Just talking about what it was intended, shot for film. I greatly appreciate the reaction.
I think this is awesome if it is your own channel. I’m not just saying this, I mean this from the bottom of my heart. You are my favorite martial artist!!!!! So freaking cool! God bless you my friend, and put his hand on your life. Keep it up brother.
I was 16 when it came out. Me and friends went to Times Square to see the first showing. Sat in the front row and watched it three times. Nothing like it then and now. Bruce Lee, no one comes close.
I remember seeing this on video for the first time in the 80s. I was shocked by it. The intensity in Bruce's performance is unmatched to this day. I think the next time i was shocked by a fight scene.. was seeing your fight against kane kosugi. That will forever be in my top 3.
As a 50 year veteran of Wado ryu karate ... Big respect Scott. Thanks for paying props to the greatest and you are correct sir, the cave fight has to be the greatest martial arts screen battle EVER. It is STILL exciting to watch. Bruce Lee will be influencing martial artists long after we are gone. No one did it better.
That was a good choice of fight and a great breakdown. And yeah, that might indeed be one of the greatest fight scenes. It certainly set a standard, and will always be one of the all time classics. Great video.
Hello Scott This scene means a lot to me because this was the first time I saw Bruce lee and shock was so intense that 50 years later, I am still a huge die hard fan of the man. Same as you, mate 👍 cheers 🍻
One of the most thought provoking films I've seen from Scott Adkins is undisputed fight for freedom. The reason for saying this is that as a born again Christian it was good that the film addressed the issue of martial arts and Christianity.
my girlfriend and I went to the movies in 1973 to see this movie. I was studying Shotokon at the time. There was no one else in the movie theater but mu girlfriend and I. Quite an experience to say the least. Watching a great movie in an empty theater!
That break down around the two minute mark makes you think about Brandon Lee's opening scene in rapid fire 🔥🔥🔥 father like son. Also huge fan brother look forward to your next movie 🎥
well , in that movie Rapid fire with Brandon Lee if one is and knows anything aboute Bruce Lee , you can clearly see the moves from Bruce in Brandons performance with kicks and punshes , its like your watching Bruce Lee himself .
I really enjoy your honest break down of Bruce's ability as a martial artist and an actor considering all of your accomplishments and your incredible martial arts abilities .. True respect .. Alot of martial artists of today like to water Bruce down as just an actor for some reason , maybe jeleously or whatever .. You always stay humble and give credit and in my opinion to me that is what makes you one of the best in what you do , giving credit to others and not seeking validation... To me that puts you right up there with Bruce, that's just my opinion .. Keep putting out great movies and content like this ..
It was one of the most AMAZING fight scenes in the history of martial arts films. INCOMPARABLE skill and charisma! The ONE and ONLY Bruce Lee! The MYTH, the LEGEND! The HERO and the ROLE MODEL for millions of us! And it feels so beautiful to see you Scott, how greatly you respect and admire him, and how much you acknowledge and value his inspiration for the new generation of martial arts actors. You truly are the most complete martial arts actor there are nowadays! And I deeply respect and look up to you, both as a martial artist, an actor, and mostly importantly as a man and character! Looking forward to seeing your new, incredible work! ✊👊💪
Scott you are so kind to honor where all that followed learned great story telling in these genre of films. I love a quote that John Lennon said, "before Elvis there was nothing". Elvis once asked Sir Tom Jones, where did you learn to move like that? his reply was, to be honest, i learned it from you.Scott in your own films, i have seen you display a warmth and humility in your characters with just the depth and and expression in your eyes. I think keeping the dialog to a minimum for Bruce and letting his facial expression display his feelings is a sledge hammer of acting. I remember the scene when he kills Bob Wall, all that you see is the look on Bruce's face remembering his sister killing herself with a piece of glass to prevent Wall from violating her. Lines like " You have offended my family and you have offended the Shaolin temple.Bruce was the first to bring deep emotion to these films, and i think that one reason they have lasted the test of time. Scott, you never let arrogance over take your characters. Thanks Scott.

I'm not gonna lie, Scott..... Your fight scenes are some of the best, as well. I love you movies. The Undisputed movies, come on. Those moves are insane.
My best friend in high school picked me up and took me to the local theatre to see this movie. He said I had no choice but to see it. Back then, you didn't have to leave the theatre after the showing unless it was sold out or last showing. We watched the movie 3 times that day. What we didn't know at that time and what Scott is trying to say is this movie is the standard! Every martial arts fight sequence is measured by this movie. We have fantastic masters today and they all have a difficult time matching or exceeding his intensity, danger, speed, weaponry, spontaneity and convincing viciousness of his fighting. We all know this was choreographed but you always come away thinking if this were real he could still whoop their asses the same way. These MMA guys have nothing, I mean nothing on him....

Maybe Jaws but then again this film kick started countless millions of martial artists. Will anyone ever be able to fill his shoes?
speaking of wich, i would like scott to review tekken character fighting styles, rate and explain them, and even recreate them
I still feel deeply saddened thinking about how amazing he was and yet passing away so young and everything he could have done. But he was also the inspiration for so many.
As I get older it does get sadder thinking about how young he died. But I just try my best to think of the amazing things he brought into the world.
@@nebulous8389 absolutely
For me the most tragic thing about his legacy besides him dying is that Bruce Lee athleticism has overshadowed the BRILLIANT mind he had.
The philosopher, innovator, motivator and revolutionist will always be in the background of his legacy.
@@X-Factor-22 not neccesarily there are plenty of people that know he had a brilliant mind.
You sir, are no slouch yourself. I still have to watch more of Scott Adkins films
every time i watch his movies, i still get the amazed face and nothing changes that, just wow
Thank you for giving Bruce Lee the respect he deserves, and he left us 51 years ago, no one comes close
Yeah, he was scared of the psycho-fan boys :/
@@Rotaksdik
I really missed bruce lee one of my favorite of all time. Im grateful to witness his legacy.
This has to be the best reaction to Bruce Lee ever, well done Scott Adkins. Bruce Lee was truly unique in every way, a real master. RIP.
big respect to you scott. thanks for giving bruce his due respect.. people praise him all the time but coming from you its respect on a different level
The movie that changed the martial arts genre forever. *G.O.A.T.* 😎
One of my favorites martial artist Scott Adkins
Scott adkins your my favourite action hero
Enter the Dragon is/was such a perfect film; great storyline, great supporting cast, great action, great music and Bruce Lee - the whole atmosphere of the film and where it was shot puts it on another level. I've watched this so many times, it's one you can just keep going back to.
Love Scott Adkin’s humble and respectful and love his films
Say it with me Scott Adkins, Enter the Dragon’s underground fight scene is thee greatest martial arts scene ever! Period! Point blank!
Respectful and comprehensive in commentary ,great to see ,scott adkins
Respect... A great action hero tributing a true Legend..
Bravo!
Very Good !! And Congratulations for your great movies and amazing fights !!
Hi Scott, my wife and I just bought all of Bruce Lee's films on the streaming platform one of my favorites is 'Way of the Dragon' with Chuck Norris they never get old watching pure MA classics.❤😃👍
well done video, I am 50 I grew up watching Bruce in his movies over, and over.
Love you Scott adkins ❤
Bruce is still unmatched when it comes to the intensity he puts into his fight scenes. He doesn't need to be flash, because he's intensity enhanced his simplicity of moves, making it all feel very real in the moment.
You do a good job with the intensity you put into your fight scenes too! I can really feel that your character is in an emotional state, the anger, the pain, it all adds to the fight scene.
There is something mesmerizing about this scene. I love the camera and the high speed.
Scott is a class act. So appreciated! Thank you
It used to look pretty easy compared to the later martial arts films and stars who performed impressive techniques. But the older I get, the more I realize what an incredible presence and charisma this man had. he lives every kick and every punch he throws. This is not the case with other martial arts stars, although they are very, very good.
I love Bruce, can watch his movies more than once, never boring. Best martial arts guy ever.
Kudos to you sir, to the respect that you show that which came befrore you and your continued tradition of great movie martial arts. Thank you for the sharing the expertise of your craft in each film outing!
1:15 I love the henchman at the back, who's clearly enjoying it a bit too much and gets a massive smile on his face.
Mr
Scott Adkins I appreciate your take and unwavering respect for my mentor of that era which makes you my current mentor along with Mr.
Scott... 🫵🏼 are the modern generations Bruce 💯
no he's not but am a fan.
@@thedadlife247 he's better than Bruce ever was.
What does that mean what are saying????
Wonderful breakdown of an iconic scene kudos Scott and loving your movies too.
I was growing up watching this masterpiece movie 🔥🔥
I think this is awesome if it is your own channel. I’m not just saying this, I mean this from the bottom of my heart. You are my favorite martial artist!!!!! So freaking cool! God bless you my friend, and put his hand on your life. Keep it up brother.
Fantastic job Scott.
Scott I always love your analysis of great fights. Thanks brother!🙏🏼🇺🇸
Came out when i was turning 11. Still the best martial arts film i`ve seen
Love these videos man. Keep them coming. Hi from Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬
The greatest. 'Enter The Dragon' is my favourite film of all time. I finally got to see it on the big screen last year. Mind blown.
I was 16 when it came out. Me and friends went to Times Square to see the first showing. Sat in the front row and watched it three times. Nothing like it then and now. Bruce Lee, no one comes close.
Thanks for watching The Legend, The One and Only, Ever...Bruce Lee. 💯🔥
What a legend, you're films are great as well Chris.
I watch his movies so many times I knew the script, but was really watching to see his moves!!!
Absolute class act Scott Adkins.
That was a good choice of fight and a great breakdown. And yeah, that might indeed be one of the greatest fight scenes. It certainly set a standard, and will always be one of the all time classics. Great video.
Thanks Scott for showing support for a great fighter so much speeed 💪RIP Bruce 🙏
Mr.Adkins has the best personality! Thank you for sharing 🙏 🥋💪🏼
Great Job Scott!
😎💯👌🐉💬
Hello Scott
This scene means a lot to me because this was the first time I saw Bruce lee and shock was so intense that 50 years later, I am still a huge die hard fan of the man. Same as you, mate 👍 cheers 🍻
Yes one of the best movies and a favourite to many up to this day and age. Thank you so much for sharing this 🙏 😊 Well done😊🙏
Great commentary Scott.
Scott you are also a great action star!Love your film so much. Can't wait for your next movie!!!
good to have you back Scott !
Scott, I wish you made more movies
That break down around the two minute mark makes you think about Brandon Lee's opening scene in rapid fire 🔥🔥🔥 father like son. Also huge fan brother look forward to your next movie 🎥
well , in that movie Rapid fire with Brandon Lee if one is and knows anything aboute Bruce Lee , you can clearly see the moves from Bruce in Brandons performance with kicks and punshes , its like your watching Bruce Lee himself .
Really enjoying these fight breakdowns Scott!! Keep em coming
I Love the way you watch all the Videos of All the Famous Martial Artist including Yourself😍🥰
Scott good to see you man you’re my favourite bud
Because you yourself too, are one of the BEST there have ever been in this industry! You have ALL that it takes! 100%! Physically and mentally. You truly are the most complete martial arts actor there are nowadays! And I deeply respect and look up to you, both as a martial artist, an actor, and mostly importantly as a man and character! Looking forward to seeing your new, incredible work! ✊👊💪
Thanks for Sharing Scott. Your fights are pretty cool too! Yip Man was awesome 🙌
Scott Adkins, Jackie Chan, Bruce lee, Donnie Yen, Jet Lee are my top of all time! Bruce Lee is for me #1
and Brandon Lee of course.
I was inspired to learn the nunchucks from Bruce and this was the routine I first learned. I spent hours going over it till I got it down!
Great comments and show of humility to Scott and yes indeed it’s Jackie Chan having his neck broken. Thank you.
I always had respect for scott but now after watching this it's gone to a whole new level
The legend who made my childhood great... even influenced fighting game characters like Liu Kang, Law, Fei Long and many others
Hi Scott, what an Honour to talk to you, I a long time, love your movie from when I was still young, well done on been so amazing martial artist, you inspire me for years now. Will never forget your words. Always be ready then never get ready. Your a marrial artis god in my eyes. God bless you and your loved ones. Francois from South Africa
Well said, well done we analysis, who see beyond sight.
These MMA guys have nothing, I mean nothing on him....
je revois ces films toujours avec autant d'enthousiasme
