WOW! The athleticism. Tony Jaa took screen martial fights to a new level back in the day. Tony Jaa's biggest wow factor comes from no wires, no trampolines , no harnesses, just pure martial arts and athletics. The legendary Tony Jaa is truly a phenomena.
Completely agree. Tony Jaa completely mesmerized me in The Protector. The muay thai/martial arts moves in that movie left me BREATHLESS dude. Scott Adkins, you're awesome but Tony Jaa is frickin awesome too.
One of my favorite movie fight scenes was in fact that single shot going up the restaurant staircase. Props to the camera guy running up with the heavy equipment. Another good one shot would be the messy fight scene in Old Boy in the narrow alley.
I bet that no one knows this fact that actually in the protector movie, there was many deleted fight scenes which was removed by panna rittikrai for budget issues. One of the best deleted fight scene was where in the burning Buddhist temple before fighting against the Brazilian jiu jitsu fighter, LATEEF CROWDER, TONY JAA would have fought against two taekwondo fighters DEAN ALEXANDROU and DANIEL O'NEILL. Man, this fight scene was amazing but I don't know why they removed this amazing scene from this movie but you can still watch it on REVENGE OF THE WARRIOR TRAILER

Florescent lights because it's popular in extreme wrestling, they don't hurt, it's like getting hit with a cardboard tube, actually not even like that, you barely feel it. It's really stupid, they hit each other, the tubes explode into glass dust and they breathe it in and f**k up their lungs while they roll around in shards of it. It's not safe for spectators either.
The Protector is an amazing martial arts movie. So many scenes start with Tony Jaa coming into frame with a flying knee into someone's face. It's hilarious. The scene with Lateef Crowder doing Capoeira in the burning building, the ending sequence with all the bone breaking, all the flying knees to the face. Definitely time for a rewatch.
