I wish Tony Jaa would come back to martial arts movies instead of small Hollywood roles. He is a legend.
Well the small holywood roles pays good for the low amount of effort. Those roles takes wayyy less talent than what hes capable of. Tony can just cash a check and not even have to break a sweat
Legend? Lol, he made like 4 movies?
@@sara.cbc92 so did Bruce Lee. What's ur point?
He become older. We don't know if he can do a movie like this anymore.
@@treadstoned9915 Cambridge dict; Legend: someone who is very famous and admired. Tony Jaa is not.
Scott is the ultimate professional but he is also a HUGE fan of the action movies actors.
That's true bro
... and this respect for other performers makes him a good mate and a fair colleague.
Yes! I love watching these videos because of that reason. Scott absolutely loves and appreciates a great action movie as much as any of us fans and hearing his reactions and his honesty is pure entertainment.
I would actually rank Scott above Jaa. But both are under Jackie Chan in terms of physical ability and stunt work.
i hope they'll do a movie again. where they are both on the same side this time.
For years I've been referring to Mr Adkins as "Scott F-ing Adkins" because he is a beast. I'd love to see him play Kenshi in Mortal Kombat. He'd look so BA with a sword and a blind fold. I say we campaign for it. Much love and respect to you sir.
Scott its always awesome to hear how much love you give back to the community and other artists like yourself.
Hello Scott
I totally agree with you about Tony Jaa but let's not forget Yuen Biao who did some of the most beautiful, incredible stunts and amazing acrobatics movements in so many movies.
This movie had some seriously mind blowing fights
The ending fight scene where he shows off Hapkido was amazing, and pure 🔥 action cinema
I love actions scenes where you can actually see shit and not just cuts.
Almost 1million subs, im soo happy for you!
Same!
Tony Jaa is really awesome. His first breakout movie "Ong -Bak" was like WOW!!! And that Muay Thai he displayed in that movie, in its traditional form and the stunts, was like something, you never seen before.
Yep agreed. He took martial arts movies to another level, which everyone then proceeded to follow. He set the bar very high indeed! Respect 👏🏼
@@athermahmood1065 I laughed so hard at the end of ong bak when he takes the steroids and goes wild with kneess and elbows with double knees.
Yes, Ong Bak was an amazing movie. The Muay Thai "Elephant style" bone breaking was brutal when I first watched it. Cringe!
The chase seen in Ong-Bak where is jumps through the wire coil.
@@TheOverfiendDj 🤣 Gotta love martial arts movies!
Jackie, jet, and Tony was one of my first favs🎉🎉🎉 then I came across Scott and he has been my favorite since!.
It’s not jet li it’s the wire
@@user-zk8nr6zr6c lol I dont understand.." the wire"? Pls explain
@@davidbowman5530 I mean he doesn’t do any thing the wire working instead of him like the matrix stuff see behind scenes of all his work he is one of the worst action stars ever he is too small .
@@user-zk8nr6zr6c the man is a kung fu master. He broke his legs in a typhoon and was told he could never do martial arts again. I personally don't like all the wire work movies either but Kiss of the Dragon is goated.
@@treadstoned9915 I didn’t know about the legs injury story but he is not a kung fu master he was a wushu performer.
Scott, I always love your fight breakdowns. Thanks mate.🇺🇸
He is incredible. I was mind blown when I watched this movie.
Best skillful fighter ever appeared on screen..most talented smooth and powerful at the same time.. he is another level ..❤❤
There have been people before him... even if not that good... 🤡 ruclips.net/video/iSc9se9tbW4/видео.html
For Scott Adkins to say he is the best physical performer is probably the highest praise you could get in the industry. He truly is a beast always remember the first time I saw Ong-bak and that one shot in Tom Yum Goong. Incredible.
I don't agree. Jackie Chan is No.1. Tony can't do big stunts. His fight choreo is nowhere near Jackie, Jet and Donnie's movies. That's why he will reach their level of fame. There are many Jackie Chan moves he can't do. Especially Wushu get ups- see Armor of God2, Gorgeous. His kicks are also not as good as Donnie.
@@sara.cbc92This makes no sense. Granted I don’t think anyone tops Jackie for crazy stunts mainly because most guys now don’t want to risk death like he did. Also Chan could not do all of the flips that Tony does and the creativity in some of his kicks and knees are insane. Tony has done a good amount of big stunts. Scott is talking just from what he can do with his body, not necessarily how crazy can he be with jumping off of buildings or towers. Dude can literally without a warmup do a super easy backflip without any effort. Also kicks things like 9 feet in the air with great control. Crazy flexible, gymnastic like moves. He’s one of a kind
@@MichaelMcCloud29 stop gaslighting. Jackie Chan is literally the most known action star in the world, next to Stallone and Schwarzenegger. Tony's career is nowhere near Jackie for a reason. His physicality absolutely does not come close to Chan. He does couple of flips and kicks? Jackie has done it too. The intricacy of his kicks is nothing special. Infact many of his moves were copied and stolen from Chinese martial arts. Muay Thai does not have acrobats, kip ups, butterfly kicks, 540 kicks etc.
@@sara.cbc92 You’re too dense to understand the difference of what Scott is talking about. Everyone knows Jackie Chan is like the most famous action star, that’s not the argument. I’m pretty sure Jackie Chan himself would say that he couldn’t do all of the flips and tricks that Tony has done in the first Ong Bak alone. That’s not a shot at Jackie Chan. Taylor Swift is one of the most famous people in the world but she isn’t singing better than Tori Kelly in any world. That’s okay, difference skill sets and focuses, that’s all that’s being said
@@MichaelMcCloud29 you are obtuse to the point of being delusional. I stated Jackie 'could' do all of Jaa's acrobatics moves and more, especially teching off ground. So can Jet Li. Why do you think they're more famous than Tony. As for the first Ong Bak, their martial art styles are different, not that you would know anything about the subject. So they won't be doing similiar kicks or moves.
I'm a huge fan of Tony JAA and this movie introduced me to him and I love his martial arts work.
These fight breakdown episodes have been great!!
Looked on my iPad. I saw this, “The protector”, made my day, the way you explain the movie Scott. 😊
My first Martial arts idol was not bruce lee or jackie chan it was tony jaa after watching this movie and still is till today ❤
I bet that no one knows this fact that actually in the protector movie, there was many deleted fight scenes which was removed by panna rittikrai for budget issues. One of the best deleted fight scene was where in the burning Buddhist temple before fighting against the Brazilian jiu jitsu fighter, LATEEF CROWDER, TONY JAA would have fought against two taekwondo fighters DEAN ALEXANDROU and DANIEL O'NEILL. Man, this fight scene was amazing but I don't know why they removed this amazing scene from this movie but you can still watch it on REVENGE OF THE WARRIOR TRAILER
That first kick is insane
SCOTT is Really " born to fight ".
He is born for Martial arts and Martial arts is born for him..!!! 😅
I mean yes... He is really very professional and took every martial arts and artists very SERIOUSLY. And he do kept High Respect for them.
THANK YOU Scott bro ...
With the helps of your channel...we also get to knows some knowledge about all kinds of Martial arts forms and Arts...!!!!
I'm also .. like you in a way ... very interested in Martial arts.
😊
🙏🏻
Great film, easily in my top 3 for fight movies. So many brilliant, extended set pieces. Thanks to Scott for the review/retrospective.
❤🤍💙 you #SCOTT ADKINS 1 Septillion times & 💛 all your videos mate👍
when this movie came out i was blown away by the non stop move after move. try to get him on the show
Completely agree. Tony Jaa completely mesmerized me in The Protector. The muay thai/martial arts moves in that movie left me BREATHLESS dude. Scott Adkins, you're awesome but Tony Jaa is frickin awesome too.
Tony is absolutely the man gravity forgot.
Don't recall who it was, but someone once said that when Tony jumps, he kind of hangs in the air for a second or two before he starts to fall. It's insanity.
Scott.... you are the man indeed.......❤
Ive been waiting for this breakdown. Thank you Scott for showcasing various martial arts talents and your knowledge of action cinema.
You can just see the deep love that Scott has for Martial Arts,he's at the top of his game, and yet still feels like us at home when watching talking to and having these guys on his show for interview, kudos Mr Scott Adkins 🙏🏾
When I originally started seeing Scott Adkins in action films with JCVD I thought to myself. Who is this guy? Now that I've seen him in more than a few films, I have started to appreciate his appearances in martial arts films. Now with him having his own channel I'm more of a fan, and it appears he's a fan as well. One of these days it would be nice to have film discussions with him on action and the evolution of physical films. You people deserve more praise than us fans can ever show. You literally put your bodies and safety on the line to provide the best in action entertainment and cinema. I will need to catch up on all of your breakdowns of each of the films you enjoy watching as I enjoy watching them as well.
You can tell Scott Adkins talk with passion, he digs the martial arts and love his job. Scott Adkins is like a huge geek when it comes to fighting stuff. Thank you for the video Scott Adkins.
Scott Adkins number 1👍👍hope he get a big roll in Hollywood. Like Batman 👍👍legend Scott👍👍
Sir Adkins Thanks for your visiting to my country 🇺🇿 Uzbekistan I'm so Happy to see you in Tashkent and despite I couldn't come to Tashkent see you in boxing arena but I'm Very Happy I saw your visit news on RUclips and not only me Every Your Fans are So Happy ☺️
The one take on the stairs is exhausting to watch cus you can see the wear from the stunts, but it in-turn makes the story telling that much better. I got the same vibes watching Berandal with the warehouse scene then going up to the kitchen.
Probably inspired by/tribute. Martial Art films are one of those genres that really tip the hat to each other's craft/work. Love to see it, too.
One of my top favorite movies of all times! I love this movie! ❤I’ve experienced it in the theaters.
tony jaa never disappoints🤗🤗
Scott adkins is the best martial art
Ong bak Aka Tony Jaa had incredible tricking & parcour skills back in the days ! His prime was overpower and man he kills it with his amazing hard brutal Muay Thai Boran technique. Living Legend and crazy Stunts! Crazy flips and man he‘s like a flummi ball! Lightweight but with striking power and fast. Keep it up Thanks for the Video Scott!
So humble mate, love it
great stuff as always
Absolutely amazing my idol, keep up the good work my eternal idol Scott Edward Adkins!👑💯💪👊👌❤️🔥😍👏👏👏🥇❤️🔥😍
Thanks!
I first saw him in ONG BAK. Amazing !
Love this movie, seen in at least a dozen times
Great actor, great fighter
Amazing scene from an amazing film. Another great scene from that film is near the end where he spends about 5 mins breaking the bones of everyone who tries attacking him!
Phenomenal video
WOW! The athleticism. Tony Jaa took screen martial fights to a new level back in the day. Tony Jaa's biggest wow factor comes from no wires, no trampolines , no harnesses, just pure martial arts and athletics. The legendary Tony Jaa is truly a phenomena.
Man Scott you deserve your own John Wick spinoff!! Either as Killa Harkan again or a completely new shredded character!! 🙏🙏
AWESOME! 😊 THANK YOU VERY MUCH! DEAR COMRADE SCOTT 💪😀🥋👍
You are wright dear Scott Adkins, Tony Jaa it's awsome and he is one of the best in nowadays in the business, as like you too.
You are both amazing in your fights and action scenes, lot of great gymnastics and acrobatic things. it's a treat to see that.
This is one of the reasons why I love the movie " Triple Threat ". Great casting and wonderfull fights. Miss Donnie Yen to give to this movie 20/20. But a huge 19/20 it's well-deserved. I hope see you and him in another one soon. 👍🤞
Some guys just have this amazing talent and get their big moment. This was Tony's big moment for sure. I HAD to learn some of those tricking kicks after seeing this movie.
Love your breakdowns. I wish they made more martial arts films like the protector nowadays.
Hope to see you soon in Cinema movie, Scott.
both Jackie Chan and Tonny Jaa great stunt actors...
Hi Scott from Germany YEAH Tony is Incredible Hard Core Fighter and Athletic and this Movie one of the best
Great movie I love the protector
Tony Jaa is not to be under estimated. He’s up there when it comes to choreography and screen-fighting. The explosiveness and durability are only some of his greatest qualities. Ong Bak was the film that introduced me to him when I was a kid. Shout out to you Scott for breaking down the scene. It helps me understand the correct names of the moves that Tony is doing.
Tony is built different Scott. I am not the martial artist I use to be due to injuries but I highly appreciate yalls movies and wish I could have got into stunt work
Love The Protector! Would love to see you do Robin Shou vs Keith Cooke in Mortal Kombat.
I see you're a man of culture aswell!
Robin was doubled by Jaa in thar fight. So...
Great stuff 👍🏽
tom yum goong caught me on idolizing tony jaa. these stunts are incredible. pure physical performance.
I want more movie with you and Tony jaa. 😊
"Chan Tung Pan Ma Lai?????" (Where is my elephant?)
Followed by a room of Aussies looking confused and then getting the everliving shit kicked out of them by Tony Jaa...That's what I remember from this film. Hahah.
Also these fight break downs ought to be much much longer. I'm think most people would agree with me in that Scott Adkins film breakdown channel would be a huge huge hit with us fans...
Tony Jaa Martial Arts Legend
Tony Jaa went next level in the protector
Nice 👍🏿
Ongbak 1-2 was so good I felt my adrenaline rushing just by watching.. good times good shit 🔥
✨👍👍✨ Thanks for Sharing Sir Scott✨😊😊✨💛💛✨
Tony and Jackie for me
The Protector is my favorite Martial Arts film ever...
In Thailand it was called Tom Yung Gung based on the Thai dish
Nice🔥
Wheels on meals. THE FIGHT would be a awesome take from you 👍
Arguable the best fight rated by Micheal J.w, Benny and Jackie himself in his book.
Tony fight going up the stairs was his best
The Protector is an amazing martial arts movie. So many scenes start with Tony Jaa coming into frame with a flying knee into someone's face. It's hilarious. I found out recently the DVD version that I have is a heavily edited version. I need to find the original version. The scene with Lateef Crowder doing Capoeira in the burning building, the ending sequence with all the bone breaking, all the flying knees to the face. Definitely time for a rewatch. I think the reason I bought the DVD in the first place was because Quentin Tarantino's name was on it. No idea what his involvement was with the movie.
10/10 A+
חיים שלי סקוט אדקינס ❤❤
I know he is past his prime, but I wish someone could make another Tony Jaa movies like this. His talent shouldn't be wasted with Hollywood sidekick roles.
Best Actor, My Hero Yuriy Boyka. Mr.Scott Adkins
He wasn't even the lead in the Undisputed movies.
Florescent lights because it's popular in extreme wrestling, they don't hurt, it's like getting hit with a cardboard tube, actually not even like that, you barely feel it. It's really stupid, they hit each other, the tubes explode into glass dust and they breathe it in and f**k up their lungs while they roll around in shards of it. It's not safe for spectators either.
When I was a child, I hit that back kick , I almost broke my friend's neck, I was very ashamed
0:30 tony jaa is wolverine confirmed. He’s got adamantium bones
Hello Scott Adkins! I just watched your new video about Tony Jaa and I liked it. Yesterday I bought myself a new sports watch, like Schwarzenegger's in the movie Commando and I also bought myself suspenders for my jeans, a baseball cap with the inscription New York, a selfie stick, a shoe bag in which I put my new blue sneakers and other goods today I will make a new video of me showing karate in my jeans with suspenders and my new sneakers. I'm not as skinny as Tony Jaa and I weigh 120 kg so it's hard for me to jump and do somersaults like Tony Jaa. I'm from a different weight category. I'm a heavyweight fighter, like Ford from the movie Undisputed 4 and like Bolo Young, Matthias Hughes and Abdel Kissi. Good luck, Scott.
Tony Jaa is a frickin' legend!
scott is better than
@@outtrigger I'm more of a fan of Scott as well, but that doesn't take away from the incredible stunt work and fight scenes Tony has pulled off, and it's worth recognizing him for it!
Tony is super badass for real😮
Amazing like you
Tony Jaa is just phenomenal.
1:57 that is also done by Vidyut Jamwal in Commondo
How in the world they compare him with any martial artist except Scott adkins !!
Tony in 00's is like prime Jackie Chan in 80's
Jackie is better
The Protector is a great movie
There is a specific reason for the light bulbs. I've seen a commentary in the depths of YT once. I don't remember why exactly. But it's an inside joke or something like that. You should ask Tony, Scott! 😄 Thank You for Your channel.
Breakdown Vidyut jamwal action ❤
Tonijaa my favourite
Obviously Tony is a omega level beast but def hats off to choreo and stunt peeps.
Tony jaa 🔥🔥🔥
Scott stuntman don't give a fuck bro respect! ⚡👊⚡
Actually just watched Triple Threat for the first itme last night, the movie was great.
I liked seeing you playing a bad guy and the fight scenes where great especially the one between you and Tony Jaa/
On the one hand Tony Jaa is Fast action star ,the other hand Scott is too Fast Live narration for fight scene of Tony Jaa.great episode. One more Plus point besides marital artist ,Scott has great, loud ,clear ,perfect voice.
Hi Scott ! Hope you're doing just Great ! What can you tell about the fight breakdown and the great performance of Wang Ink Sik in his fight scene against the guards and his fight against Jackie Chan in the movie Young Master ? Very unforgettable 👍
Apparently Scott doesn't like Jackie's old movies during Shaw Bros period. He feels it's too slow with Peking opera like tempo.
