His role in John Wick 4 was so well acted that I did not even know it was him until after the movie. Really well done!

i didn't pay attention to the cast in any of these movies after john wick 1. i wanted it to be a surprise when get to the theater. so the entire time, i was thinking he looked strangely familiar. when i found out through the credits, i was really impressed

well he might not have billions of fans, but the ones he got love him to death, and tbh he proove he deserve it everytime he speak.
Killa's laugh is burned into my brain. It's so silly and campy and completely at odds with the tone of the rest of the movie that it's instantly iconic.

I bumped into Scott few weeks ago in London. I waved at him and he took his headphones off and said hi. I told him that I saw JW4 just 2 days ago (which I had) and what a great performance he gave. I said “honestly, you were so great in it, really created a character!” He said “pretty good in a fat suit yea?” gave me a smirk, and thanked me for my kind words.
Really gracious and down to earth guy. Really good of him to give me his time and be such a gent.

@@jacobharris954 this was right around the release of John Wick 4 and in Soho, Central London. I think it’s most likely he was doing press stuff for the film. Theres loads of radio, TV, podcast studios in that area. I see celebrities everyday.

You know a movie is legit in terms of action when it has legends like Donnie Yen , Keanu , Scott, Hiroyuki Sanada and Marko Zaror. Best action film of the decade I dare say.

His performance as Killa, among all of the amazing performances in Chalter 4, was one of my favorites. I was genuinely shocked by how good he was because I only ever vaguely knew of him doing lower budget films. He killed it as Killa.

He's been in a lot of big budget films, but usually as a double or just a heavy who gets beat up. He was in Dr. Strange, Wolverine, American Assassin, and Expendables 2, just to name a few.

The fact that a professional martial artist shows so much respect for Keanu’s level of skill in martial arts is wonderful to see.
Phenomenal actor, so much knowledge too. Can't wait to see him in a leading role, hope this movie shoots him to the top.
He deserved it, him and frank grillo are pretty much underrated imo.

The scenes with Killa were hypnotizing. Maybe it was also because of the music, the lighting and the set. This entire part kept you on edge! Like a tense calm before the storm
It was Killa's performance mostly if you ask me. His acting when it comes to playing killa and giving him character was on point, and the laugh was like cherry on top, just brilliant acting
He was incredible in JW4. Very memorable character and even in that fat suit, his fighting was exceptional. Hope this gets Scott into more mainstream projects!!

Scott Adkins should be cast as Johnny Cage in MK 2 🔥👌🏽
I said the same thing when the 2019 adaption came out. But Alain Moussi would be a better fit for Johnny, Scott would be a great Ninja. Would be nice for him to play SZ younger brother Kuai Lang. Maybe he can even play Smoke the Human version.
Alain Moussi should play Johnn Cage and Scott Adkins should play Shao Kahn
And James Bond & a definitive Batman Kraven The Hunter etc.
@@Jin-gf5ge wow that's actually a good suggestion but I do remember Scott saying he didn't feel too comfortable when he played Yuri boyka cuz of all the weight had to put on.
At the same time since Shao Kahn does not have a fighting style similar to taekwondo or Na Jitsu and he's just a straight powerhouse. Scott can possibly play a role like he did as Killa in JW4 for where he was a straight power house or in simpleton term use of fighting style kickboxing..

I remember seeing him once say that if they asked him he would play Batman but they'll never ask him. I understand why - he looks like Bruce but they won't cast someone that is a stunt man that can act, they'd rather get an actor that can learn stunts.
@@andrebrynkus2055 He actually auditioned for the role for Batman Begins. Also, wouldn't it be smarter and more cost effective to cast a stunt person who can also act? I mean, they know what the action scenes will entail. They have the experience to make it look good and probably go smoother. They also won't need months upon months of training since they're practically training all the time. It most likely was because he's not a big enough star and they wanted some sort of higher star power.

@@LPChipi But that's the thing. While Bale is an amazing actor, I don't think it was guaranteed that he would bring in millions of dollars. I'd argue that Batman Begins made Bale the star he is today. I'd even argue that Batman Begins sold on the fact that it was a Batman movie with a fresh take on the character and mythology and had Nolan's name attached to it. Look at the MCU for example. It turned so many B level and unknown actors into stars. Evans, Hemsworth, Rudd, Holland, Hiddleston, Renner, Olsen, I'd even argue Johansson got even bigger because of the MCU. It could have been the vehicle to make Adkins a huge star like it did Bale.

Avengement is Scott Adkins best movie. Absolutely brutal and intimidating. I'd love to see him in more big budget movies so he can really shine. But we all know he'll always be Boyka in our hearts.
Avengement is so underrated, so well written, Scott is excellent, and action......whoa, those prison fight scenes made me wince! Scott is unrecognisable with the shaven head, facial scar and steel teeth

The most underrated actor/action star in Hollywood. Scott has deserved this opportunity for at least a decade. I hope this sees him moving to even greater things.
criminaly underated character actor aswell. i know people who can't beleive he and boyka are the same guy.
His part in John Wick 4 was my favorite … loved how was shown at first as over weight and slightly uncoordinated but then turns out to be a lethal fighting machine, just hilarious, especially the high kicks.

Apparently Carl Urban a nonmartial artist is casted as Johnny Cage. He looks more like Kano. Shao Kahn definitely is well suited for the Rock

I love that Scott mentions Roger Moose’s James Bond using karate chops because I noticed that too on recent rewatches of some of his Bond films.
John Wick and The Equalizer are probably the only action movies I love watching that are close to realistic.
I’m so hyped for The Equalizer 3 since John Wick chapter 4.

John Wick four was by far one of my favorites with all of the martial arts gunfights basically everything it was by far the best action movie I’ve seen in the past 10 years
The scene between Scott Adkins and Keanu Reeves in John Wick: Chapter 4 was very impressive and showed the dedication and skill of both actors. It had a lot of creativity and energy. I also liked how they used the music and the lighting to create a contrast between the violence and the fun atmosphere of the club. It was a memorable moment in the movie.

I really love the creativity in the fights all throughout the movies, using whatever is at the characters' disposal to get the job done really makes the fights extremely entertaining
We need a John Wick Universe prequel series with Scott playing a younger Killa Harkan. I know I'd watch the heck out of it.
If there is anyone out there who deserves to be on the big screen, it's Scott! Not only does he look amazing, but he's an incredible actor as well and of course one of the best martial artists on the planet!
Thank you for giving a shout out to Commons fighting performance, and that I was really impressed with his depth in that people don’t really talk about it, but there are some actors who don’t have a lot of martial arts/fighting backgrounds, and I still able to pick it up and put in a pretty decent performance. We definitely need to acknowledge these people.
Scott is so clear and concise in his analysis. And, he's so confident in his language! It's great when he can draw out his interview subjects on his channel.
Killa was one of my favorite villains in the series and I wish the role had been larger.

When I watched John Wick 4 in theaters, I loved all the scenes with Killa. The whole time though, it kept bugging me because he was so familiar but I couldn't figure out who it was. When I saw later that it was Scott Adkins I just about fell over. He did such a good job.
