STUNT MEN DESERVE AN OSCAR CATEGORY. That is all.
or just more pay
This absolutely! It would make the Oscar's more interesting!
Yes could not agree more ! I am named after a stunt man
(Aaron norris) my dad new the value in what stunt men did even tho he was big fan of his more famous brother.
I'm down with that
Louder! LOUDER!!!! These cats take real life beatings for our fake entertainment, and they make it look AWESOME!
"Jackie Chan is the master of using furniture and whatever elements are around him in the scene".
So he has mastered the best fighting discipline that ever exists: Ikea-do.

"it's a Hong Kong movie so probably, he actually stepped on his head"
Oh man 🤣
Beat me to it and definitely a MASSIVE BAHAHAHAHAHAH
His fighting expertise is obviously appreciated, but I love that he gives the camera operators and other staff their fair due. That shows true class.
At time of writing, I’m really looking forward to seeing mr. Adkins in John Wick 4.
So many star power in John wick 4
@@scottlondon8382 and what a movie it was now that it has been released
I just watched it and he was amazing you'll be surprised
I like that he recognizes the importance of everyone involved, especially the cameraman in The Protector.
And its funny to think that the camera guy in Protector learned to use the steady cam just for this scene
This is because he is a REAL martial artist, like C.chan.
This guy GETS IT; he’s done all this... he knows everything that goes into making good martial arts films.
@@dennisjr77 Great cinematography and direction keep your focus on the action, you only notice it when it's bad.
I agree. The best actors and stunt coordinators knows everyone's a key role to making the scene
I've always wanted this guy for Batman. A legit martial artist in a proper movie
Yes❤👍🙂😊
he looks a bit like ben affleck..
@@ezal9106 he does but his facial structure fits more of Bruce and Bat than Affleck does. And getting someone that the mainstream doesn’t really know about would have been more impactful.
Yes, same here.
@@treytilley333 to be honest i knew scott adkins before i knew the batman guy i knew him after batman.
Scott Adkins is one of the most underrated action talents in the business. This guy should be in the MCU. Id take him as Adam Warlock or Captain Britain or Doctor Doom even. He is huge and frightening when in any fight pose. He can brawl. He can wrestle. He can do Jujitsu, Crav Magra, Judo, Muai Thai, street fighting, and more.
To be fair, he was in the MCU. 😁 But I get your point.🙂
I personally think Scott adkins is a perfect fit for Batman,
@@pov7853 amen to that
I think he should play "Kraven the Hunter" he'd be the best choice

You can tell he is such a nice guy as he remembers every stuntman on set of movies

I reckon he would be a really nice guy. I absolutely love his MA, especially his kicks.
@@steiny3353 What I'm implying is , he is a down to earth individual

Absolutely agree. Unpretentious, sincere, humble, respectful of all of his peers and always complementing other actors on their abilities. He is a guy I would actually like to meet.
Or he has a good memory
Yea he seems like a gem.
The first Scott Adkins movie i saw was Undisputed and I actually thought he was Russian in real life😂😂
@Happy Gilmore bruhh🤣😂😂
@Happy Gilmore 🤣🤣🤣
🤣👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Not the first but I really thought he was Russian
What I'm trying to say is not the first movie I watched
That whole "He'd never see it coming" about The Karate Kid still just cracks me up even though I've seen it 100 times. Well played, sir, and so dryly.
You should watch Cobra Kai on Netflix. It takes place thirty years after, and they also used the same actors
The cameraperson/interviewer trying to hold in their laughter at that part (11:18) is great, too.
@@howard2liu Absolutely!
I actually love the fact that Tony got tired during the fight scene. It adds to the realism. Nothing is worse than a 15 min fight scene and the character doesn’t even break a sweat. Come on now. I love every movie he’s ever done. The protector is one of my faves of all time.
"He stole the guys girl...then beat him up for it...not a nice guy that karate kid" LOL!!!
Excellent Scott!!!
Scott may enjoy Cobra Kai
Scott and Barney would be friends for that
Laruso is the true villain in the movie. Tell me I’m wrong
If you watch the movie Allie says at the very beginning that she and Johnny aren't together anymore so Daniel-san didn't steal Johnny's girl. Johnny was just jealous that someone he still wanted was having fun with someone else.
@@Dilly_Dil1y your wrong johnny was about to hospitalize this kid for splashing some water in him
The greatest travesty in Hollywood is not casting this man as Batman/Bruce Wayne.
Honestly I just want him to get bigger roles in Hollywood rather than another B-movie
he would make a great batman but poor Bruce Wayne. it hard to the get the subtly nuances between tragedy, playboy and detective espionage. you will need an accomplish actor. I don't think the new guy Robert pattison can do it either . c. bale did it best . Clooney( good Bruce Wayne, horrible batman) and val kilmer were horrible
He has the look for sure. If his acting could hold up, I'd much rather see him than Pattison.
@@billu5014 i don't know, obviously Bale was amazing as the caped crusader and his alter ego, but weren't people also sceptical when they heard he would do it? I can't say for sure that he will deliver or he will fail, but to be honest, I think I have faith in this one.
Edit: "I can't say for sure that he will deliver or he will fail, but to be honest, I think I have faith in this one." is in reference to Robert Pattinson
@Serwin Abanilla my thoughts exactly
The way he speaks is so lovely and soothing! He's obviously highly knowledgeable in his field and this video shows that.
Then you see him as Yuri and it's all gone XD
@UCVIWKFb7UV6fVP6Qj7-urVA Thank you! I will definitely have to give them a watch. I grew up with Van Damme, Jet Li, Jackie Chan and Chow Yun Fat's movies and always loved what they were able to do. But anyway thanks again and I hope you take care out there.

Considering how many times Scott plays the bad guy, the real man is so humble and a great sense of humor. And he speaks with such experience!
People who wants to be bad guys are actually nice guys cuz they're taking one for the team.
@@imedkrisna Eh, usually villains in movies are badass or just interesting characters. I don't think it's really a matter of taking one for the team lol
I think that was in the past, lately he's always the main character, am I wrong?
I feel exactly the same. The real guy looks very nice, friendly and even handsome, yet he always plays the bad guy, as far as I've seen. Jackie Chan is an actor I despise, yet he's always the hero. This world is not fair.
@@BeowuIfs It's a matter of losing/winning. It's obvious that the main character/good guy has to win eventually - nobody wants to lose. The fact that one accepts the role of a bad guy is a sign of his character - or... a good paycheck. Well, hopefully not for Scott.
Well, wouldn't agree about "taking one for the team" part because there's no sacrifice in it, nobody would lose anything if he didn't take the role - you either take the job or somebody else does.
Scott has to be one of my top 5 all-time best Martial Artists. Incredible talent. I only wish he had more opportunities to show his acting skills. Just brillinat.
You mean top 5 actors?

@@KarateSensei71 Jackie Chan is my most favorite martial artist. His stunts are just unbelievable and I like the fact that he uses everything as a weapon in his movies. It's quite realistic. I like Bruce Lee but I can't relate to him in his movies or even as a person, he just seems foreign to me
this guy did exceedingly well in ip man 4.
The Ip Man series is epic! I rewatched every one of them and enjoy it. Donny moves so smooth and precise

Came here to say this, glad it was said.
He talk a lot about the actors but think it's mainly focus on the stuntman teams, people behind the scenes. Camera angles got brought up a lot too.
Thoroughly enjoyed that, he knows his onions.
Scott Adkins is embarrassingly humble. I love him so much.
he is soooo different with the character he plays in Ip Man 4
I respect this guy a lot, his personality is brill! Thank you for bringing us great action movies.
He's always giving me quite arrogant vibes, but it's a well deserved arrogance, the man is phenomenal.
Or were you employing sarcasm?
Well for someone who is severely underrated in the Industry despite being talented and has a net worth of only 2 million it's no surprise he is
Probably most accurate description of him. Never knew he was English, thought he was French
What a fun and intelligent discussion. You can tell he's so appreciative of everyone in the craft.
Well, I've never heard of this fellow, but I greatly enjoy how he broke these down, how he appreciates the professionalism of those with whom he works; his pleasure at the success of 'his kick' combined with his very rational assessment of it's actual practicality really pleases me.
Boyka????
Look up his movies! He's so much fun to watch, and seems like a genuinely good guy.
He has a lot of movies including one where he is a Ninja that protects a girl against there own kind. Really shows his personality in that movie. Great and humbling human being, a mentor for me. Thank you for your knowledge Sifu. 🙏
This guy introduced me to martial arts with his Boyka character in the Undisputed movies. Great memories

10:32 I have always loved Johnny’s stance in the Karate Kid; aggressive and intense. Fits his personality perfectly. So intense that his leading fists shakes like he is itching to punch someone. Perfection.

Decent plot/storyline, fight scenes are alright. Directing and acting too. There are far worse films than this. I'm alright with all three.
The problem too is that when you look at behind the scenes they’re actually doing some very impressive looking choreography. It’s just not filmed well which sucks

scott adkins as striker mabey but idc about johnny cage my best bet for cage is alain moussi hes legit martial artist and even got the looks he even does his shadow kick in ju jit su wich is an okay movie
This man talks humbly about living legends while being a living legend already.
One of my favorite parts of this isn't even the fight explanations, it's just the personal side comments and respect for all the other stunt people and martial artists. Just the little, "That's Ken Lo! One of Jackie Chan's team, amazing kicker!" - especially because Scott himself is an S-tier kicker. Or the the one about Tony Jaa, "Tony didn't know that we wore wires in movies, so he just thought you were supposed to be able to jump like that, trained himself to do it". Plus of course just the admiration for all the martial arts stars like Jackie and Donnie and etc.
Yvaelle..Yes, I agree. He is always giving great compliments to all his co workers and actors, stuntmen, while he himself is an amazing kicker. He's not a small guy, but isn't he incredibly agile.? I loved his final fight with Donny Yen in Ipman 4 , I think it was.
1. I could watch Tony Jaa films all day.
2. I could watch this guy talk about Tony Jaa films all day.
3. The protector without Jaa kicking out the streetlight is a missed opportunity.
Ken Lo is really amazing!!!!!
The amount of respect given to the crew members, stunt team, camera persons, and actors trying to do what they can is just fantastic. The appreciation for others really made this an enjoyable watch. Also who can't love Donnie!!
Scott is the opposite of most of his characters in real life:
Kind, respectful and incredibly humble.

Scott Adkins is definitely one of the most underrated actors out there. He's genuine. And his movie "Avengement" - one of his best performances imo - should be out there with the big budget action movies, yet most people haven't heard of either him OR his movie.
Definitely deserves more credit.
That movie was so tight dude
I Loved that movie, just thought it was a solid 6/10 if they would have sort of softened the edges and made it a little more presentable maybe better antagonists or a good supporting actor to sort of support the character. It could have been a solid 9/10 if it had the higher end touch. It just feels like a mid end movie at best in quality and cost when your watching it. Totally correct tho that it should still have had more attention.
On another note, I had hoped Scott would play a larger role in the MCU. He ended up being a goon in Dr. Strange lol ??
