    Hey everyone, glad most of you are enjoying the vid! Zack did a great job. So happy I could help kick off bringing tuner cars back to the channel. As far as the smell of fuel in the cabin, that is coming from the factory fuel pump behind the drivers seat feeding the surge tank in the trunk. It could be sealed off better and there could be a panel to replace the missing rear seat. But please remember just because this car has plates does not mean it's a "street car". While it's not a racecar because of the lack of a full cage, I would describe it as a very comfortable track car. To be fair I did warn Zack not to drive with the windows up 😂 I understand why he did to capture good audio but really, what kind of self respecting car guy drives with the windows up? 😂 After all I did ditch the AC in favor of a dry sump anyway...
    ruclips.net/video/Sn14-RBI3A8/видео.html&ab_channel=GrabTheWheel
    For those saying LS swaps are boring and played out. Please watch some track footage. There's a reason why I have Lambo owners telling me how good the car sounds. I know I am biased but I don't think there's a car new or used for less than 100K that's as engaging or fun to drive on track as this build.
    For those complaining about the price, I'm sorry the car is not for you. I know it sounds crazy but I'm just trying recoup about 1/2 of what I have into the build. I know that project cars are obviously not worth what you have into them...

    • @Michael_Lorenson
      @Michael_Lorenson 3 года назад +27

      First, I'm sorry you have to sell this car. I'm guessing there is a family involved and it just has to be done.
      I've been doing 'project' cars for decades, and I have two going at the same time right now. Mine are not nearly as expensive as yours, but one big problem remains when considering a modified project car's market value -- it's never even CLOSE.
      You mentioned trying to recoup 1/2 of what you've spent. I take that to mean hard dollars on parts and outside services for this particular build, with no dollar value placed on your time, nor on all the previous attempts you've made at building the ultimate BRZ -- the attempts that taught you how to get it right with this one.
      I'll bet the true, fully accounted-for cost of creating this super cool car is staggering.

    Man I've been saying to my buddies since it came out that a v8 swapped BRZ would be a perfect car. It's just the right size and weight is excellent. Personally I wouldn't build the engine for high HP but rather for more revs for the reason Zack mentions about not being able to rev it out. This is a race car so i get it, I'm referring to more of a fun street/ occasional track car. I think an aluminum 5.3LS destroked with a 4.8 crank would be a nice engine for this car or even a 1UZ. just enough modding to make it feel snappier and more responsive. ITB all things ;P

      Exactly! My first thought was what it would take to put a coyote in it. I've got love for the LS but to me there's something special about rev happy DOHC engines. If money was no object the Voodoo or GM's new 5.5 would be sick

    Love this video. I plan to do something similar to a GR86. Drive it for a few years.. wait for warranty to expire and then go for the V8 swap and turn it into a custom fitted toy for me to get my V8 fix with and/or track on occasion. Great video, great explanation of the car. Thanks.

    Why the fumes ingress into the interior? Seems addressable.
    Amazing build.
    I wouldn't think the stock chassis could take this level of power without twisting into a pretzel. Must be reinforced.

    How is it compared to a C5 that would be similarly prepped?

      Very similar. C5 can get more tire under it, but on similar tires, they are very close. Videos below
      Ravi in LS3 swapped BRZ did COTA in 2.22, Paul Curley in 416 LS3 C5 did COTA in 2.22

    "Adam said he spent about as much on the brakes as he did on the engine" THIS. This is how you do an engine swap when you're working with this huge of a change! There are so many LS Miatas and other stuff out there with 400+ HP and stock brakes. Its straight-up dangerous
