@Maximo Moline work on one... they are retarted. My friend who is a master tech of toyota almost quit the day he had to tear one appart for warranty. They are STUPID, turbo bolts directly to the head. intake and exhuast manifold are built into the head. the timing chain is on the back side so you need to pull engine and trans everytime you need to do ANY motor work,

Idk if he said this but the good thing about iron truck blocks is that theyre good for around 1000hp, aluminum blocks are good too but theyre better for moderate boost or n/a applications
The aluminum block is lighter but the iron block is a better platform for doing slidey boi stuff the iron block is underrated junkyard motors are fun and cheap
Don’t hate on iron blocks. Have proven to be much better with boost. And for the difference in price it’s def a great option

I have an 06 Chevy cobalt Lt with the 2.2L LNF engine so I was debating LS swapping it because 145hp feels a little slow compared to more modern cars

Thank You Very informational I Had No Idea What An LS Swap Was It Was Recommended To Me And This Was Very Helpful Seeing How I Have A Nissan And I Was Worried A GM Motor Wouldn't Fit
Must be doing something right if there was a GTO and Genesis Coupe shown in the video which I had/have. I've looked into swapping an LS motor in my Genesis Coupe and it just doesn't make sense. Free and clear it would cost approximately $17k for the swap and if the car is valued at $13k to $17k it makes more sense to get a used Camaro ZL1 with an LFA engine without having to frankenstein another car. Add a Lingenfelter kit to the ZL1 and for $35k you can have a more than capable vehicle or a LS swapped vehicle...
And just out of spite I’m about to 5.0 swap something. Funny enough it’s popular enough to be done easily, and when people see it they aren’t as annoyed lol. At least from my experiences at car meets when we come across something no one would expect to see a 5.0 slapped into. One usually hears the V8 rumbles from a Miata and goes “ugh LS swap” then the hood pops
