Liss: Thank you. We know what you mean. This time apart was a great opportunity to look at how we make our episodes. I had a lot more time to take shots and think about what I was filming, but we will definitely be trying to keep some of the same ideas going forwards
Liss: Thank you. It was so nice to have the time to slow down. I think a big thing I learnt was that if you get going earlier you can chill out more and that gives you more opportunity to show interesting things.
First episode where I wasn't concerned that one of you would get hurt, or break the bike. This approach will more likely get you to the end of the trip. Beautiful images and nice commentary. Keep it up! Aloha!
Great to see you riding and not being all hot and flustered. Keep to the roads that you’re comfortable with and when disaster strikes it will be easier to deal with because it won’t be a regular occurrence... Great episode...👍👍👍👍
I have to say I think that this episode was the best I've seen so far.. It felt relaxing and professional. I know what you mean about going solo. It puts a completely different perspective on travel. Im looking forward to seeing more videos like this. I know how much work goes into making this.. Well done Liss.
Love the new look and love the fact that you took your time to have a chill ride and take us along with you for this short interlude.....kudos to you!!
Well done Liss. Your basic Thai is impressive. Such a pleasant change to see you solo and enjoying it. I was hoping this would last longer than "just a few episodes". Previous viewing was, to me, somewhat tedious and masochistic. Enjoy! 🙏
Liss: I have another 2 episodes to show off my solo trip so I hope that you will like those too. I think it has been great for us to see the positive reaction and think what do we want to show going forward
Great stuff, Liss. Beautiful scenery, a very different calm and contemplative approach to riding - good to see you with all the stress lifted away and we can see that you are really enjoying the peace and reflective time, even when things don't quite go accordingly, you are much more chilled about it all. Lovely camera work and editing too, your narration and philosophising just add to a very fine episode. Safe travels onward.
Liss: Thank you for your comment. I have been really inspired to get out my big camera a lot more. I think it makes for a much better story if you have the time to show the small details that the go pro often misses
Thank you for sharing. I love how you have learnt a bit of the language. Most English speaking people are too lazy for that and prefer to make fun of accents. Your new positive note is nice. You know how to enjoy a motorcycle holiday properly. I'm looking forward to your next video.
This is more than the best video released to date on the channel, it's a great video. There is more story here than most travel vlogs we find on RUclips. I would absolutely recomend you start your own channel. Harry has expressed that he wants to learn the stories of the people he meets and relay that to his audience, an admirable goal, and one that has value. It does not however serve you. What you have shows us, and I hope yourself, is that you have your story to tell as you move through the world. You have more talent than being the woman who rides on "Tricky tracks," and I hope you embrace that. - Frank
Thanks Liss, you made me realize than you can just enjoy bike rideing alone, my poor himilayan has been sitting in my garage with a flat battery and not regerstered, time to get her back on the road and start enjoying her again, i have lots of mates to ride with but sometimes just riding on your own is good for your spirit, time to pull my finger out and enjoy what she is in my life, a machine to escape my problems, love this episode.....
I have always looked forward to your episodes during this world trip, but this episode hit a new level of FANTASTIC! Everything you said about riding solo (pros and cons) echoed my own (limited) experiences. Can't wait to see where you wander to next. Thailand is now on my bucket list. Ride safe!
Well done on the scenery, the commentary, and the philosophising Liss. Looking forward to more. I am totally in touch with your desire to travel solo. I am far from anti-social, but I do prefer to do my motorcycle trips solo.
Excellent Video Liss, very well shot, and edited, great to see you so chilled out! Great Job! .............though I would question the Hiking footwear at the waterfall :)!
Very well done. Nice balance of travel, history, and local color. Nice relief from most motorcycle vlogs that can't seem to get out from behind the handlebars.
Lovely vid Liss, nicely put together (but then you're good at that anyway) and you've covered the reason I travel alone, total(ish) freedom. Thanks for this. 👍
The great insights you mention about riding with someone rather than alone can be applied to life itself. There is never a time when everything you said doesn't apply to an individual experiencing life and/or a couple experiencing life together. Well said. Me? I'm a loner. So I felt every word.
Go girl. That was very peaceful. You should hook up a camera facing you with a mic so you can record your thoughts as you’re riding. Itchy pants does that. It would probably also save editing time.
What a wonderful episode. So calming and relaxing. It really reflects what your are looking for on this solo trip Enjoy your solo part! Being alone sometimes is needed, I think everyone needs time and space in-between to find yourself again. (Diana)
Great moment, Liss. Ride alone make you more confident, the anxiety always comes and go, is part of the process. Very lovely your vide, great modifications, nice touch in this film.... Merry Christmas for both, Liss & Harry.
I’ve watched you two from the start. With respect your male friend was too “adventurous “. As for riding by yourself, it has its benefits if you have prepared well. You must plan well. Personally, I enjoy my own company. You do meet people on a different level. They do treat you differently if you’re on you’re prepared to engage. Enjoy 😊
Solo Riding in the wilderness should be prescribed as a medicine, it fixes your head and heart and I have done quite a few kilometers solo in this big brown land of Australia. It is the best therapy that I know of, and if you have not done it before, give it a go. Nice episode Liss, as already stated very calm.
As others have said. This is so much better, and easier to watch, than your episodes with Harry. No more cringing as he finds something wrong with you. Your video style is much preferable as well. Your personal reflections add a lot, that was missing before. I certainly agree with the early morning rides. I did that on a ride from Wisconsin to Oregon, to beat the heat, and discovered how nice of a time of day to ride that is. Itchy Boots has some serious competition.
I have always toured on my own by motorcycle. In the '80s, I had an XT500 and did Portugal three times and Greece once from England. Many other similar tours on bigger bikes, but a smaller one does it just as well. I understand exactly what you mean by being on your own and thinking. I love it. I am retired and live in northern Thailand now, Chiang Rai. I ride a KTM 390 Duke. What is the bike you are on? I like the yellow top box. Great boots. What are the pants? Sorry for the questions. Excellent video.
Riding solo, which I have mostly done makes one more cautious and careful about carrying that extra gear as in the event something goes wrong you have to carry enough spares or tools to get you to help. Having said that I have just come back from an organised 20 day group, ten bikers, great bunch of guys, wide selection of bikes from 1250cc GS’s down to me and my mates 300X’s, it was a fast pace for us, too fast for me, but survived. Basically I think the organisers tried to pack in too much not allowing time to savour the many sights, and there were a lot. It was from Thailand to Vietnam via Laos, 5000kms by the time I returned home in NE Thailand, totally exhausted, I think for the last week I was running on adrenaline, which suddenly hit me the day after I got home. Still although not cheap it was a rare treat, and not sorry I did it, infact the same organisers are working on Myanmar and I have already put my hand up. As the saying goes you only live once and best to make the most of it, I am 76 so had better get on with it. yea ha.
I absolutely loved this video! You have a smooth way about yourself. A confident flow. When I was having life issues a friend forced me to ride a week with him. On one tough switch back road I was worried about holding him up and tried to wave him on. He pulled up and asked what was wrong. After telling him he said, don't worry about others around you. What he said next I've applied to riding and to my life, Ride You Own Ride. For 20 years I've been, Riding My Own Ride. I feel more like a Complete ME, and because of that I feel I'm of more value to others.
Great work ,loved the edit and music , you grow to love riding on your own , something will always turn up if you get stuck and it's those bit that will stick in your memory.
Well done Liss . A great episode , interesting , calm and very natural .I am certainly looking forward to your next episode .Keep safe and enjoy your travels.
Yay 👏we’ve finally caught up on all your vlogs (so sorry we’ve been behind - the Christmas break has given us perfect binge watching time) and thoroughly enjoying watching the adventures. So pleased to see you on your solo venture, we definitely would also go for the early starts, as you explain there are so many benefits that come with the longer day, your travels seems very relaxing, more time to take in more. This episode and episode 31 have been calming to watch, interesting and so many pretty vistas. Hope you get manage to get some new swimming gear and sort the spare battery and camera cradle conundrum. Lots of love Dad and Robbie xx
This is so great, Liss! Super proud of you! I’ve been watching y’all from the beginning and this has been my favorite video by far. Love it!! Looking forward to more 😊❤
I just stumbled onto your Loop adventure, I’m almost 60 and will be embarking on the same journey very soon. I’ll be sure to search for the other videos relating to this adventure. Thanks
Perfect contrast from other motorcycle adventure channels … love the commentary and the peaceful timeless quality and the wonderment of new places that you show us so well. Thank you 🙏
As much as I'm rooting for the both of you, this episode was probably my favourite by far...
Liss: Thank you. We know what you mean. This time apart was a great opportunity to look at how we make our episodes. I had a lot more time to take shots and think about what I was filming, but we will definitely be trying to keep some of the same ideas going forwards

Great video.
Different and looks like a lot of work but very cool. Cheers 4 sharing.
I think it's important to spend some nice time alone. I love doing it myself. It helps me look at my own capabilities. Go Liss and enjoy
Would have given 5 thumbs up if I could! Lovely relaxed style, you seem relaxed and unstressed. Making the most of the journey, great to see.
