Thailand has three seasons. Rainy season: June to October. Cool season: November to February and the Hot season: March to May. Burning is usually worse during the hot season. The months you recommend are best!
As someone coming from the American Pacific NW, I have to say… the cool season is not so cool! But compared to the hot season? It’s prob like the arctic! 🤣
Thanks! I made my way through that district and it was beautiful! Stopped at Nam Lod Cave and scooted around to a few other spots but would’ve loved more time there
Thanks so much! I just booked through booking.com. There's likely a bit of a markup vs booking directly with the hotels but between the western facing UI/UX, free cancellation policy, and user reviews, i felt like this was a really great option. are you planning on doing the loop?!
I want to travel thailand just after my birthday in March next year, bangkok to begin with, my plan was to do this around April.. Will the burning ruining do you think?
Late Feb to April is going to be super smoky AND the hottest time of year. The smoke might limit visibility for the ride but it could make for great ambience at the outlooks! My reco would be to to do Songkran (April 13-15) in Bangkok and then the ride later in the month. It'll be hot and smoky or it'll be the start of monsoon season, which will clear the air. Just be careful of slippery roads!

Well done and helpful advice. I would recommend exploring Pang Ma Pha district.

For info, a full loop would be 4088 turns.
Great Video, thank you so much! Where did you book your hotels/stays? I feel like Airbnb is just too expensive

What size bike is best for one up and two up riders? I'm thinking 350cc?
I’m no bike expert but I’d say 350 max. As a big guy with a lot of gear, I thought 300cc was overkill.
