Thanks so much for this video! We’re just finishing 1 week on the loop with nights added near Ban Rak Thai and Doi Inthanon National Park. The stretch from Mae Hong Son to Doi Inthanon is so beautiful! Could easily spend a few days hiking in Doi Inthanon. Your videos are super helpful and we thank you. 🙏🙏🙏
Glad it was helpful! One week is awesome as you can see a lot of the sights. Yeah Doi Inthanon must be awesome for hiking. We also wish we had more time there
Hey, nice video! What time of the year did you do this trip? We’re in Chiang Mai right now, and I’m afraid if the smog wouln’t take away most of the views we could see traveling during the other months.
Hi! We were in the region at the end of January. There wasn't lots of smog yet, but many of the viewpoints during the day definitely were covered. It's better to get to the viewpoints for sunrise or sunset as that's when it's usually more visible.
How did you find parking a car in Northern Thailand rather than a scooter? Definately interested in renting a car instead as it's not even that expensive
Thank You for the vid.... I was planning on going to Chiang Mai in March.... Had a question... Do you think this loop is possible on foot? As in, are there regular places to catch a night or two of sleep while walking the loop? I have a few months and this seems to be something off the beaten path.... TY...
It's quite the track! But unfortunately, you'd be walking mainly on the road, with trucks, cars, and motorbikes zooming by. Not sure that's something you're interested in.
Mae Hong Son loop - the most spectacular MOTORCYCLE road in Thailand, we're gonna tell you all about it..while driving a CAR...It's called profanity...😛
We had a local SIM card and reception was mostly fine. We also had the Thailand map download on Maps.me (offline maps) so we always had a back-up in case there was no reception!
Tried to get the travel guide but the link was not working. Great video. Love all the details in every video. Could you mention the cost of renting a scooter or car?
Thanks! The cost for a scooter was around 10US$ per day I believe. A car was a bit more (around 30US$) but if you’re two people it’s also a lot more convenient 😁 you mean the travel guide on our blog? Here’s the link: www.worldwildhearts.com/post/mae-hong-son-loop-thailand
Love that cave! You can’t book it in advance. You just get to the entrance and they will assign a guide to you (and your group). You cannot enter without a guide. But it’s pretty cheap overall
Beautiful video! Did you have any issues bringing the drone through customs? doing a 1 month trip through vietnam and thailand this June and some stories online don't sound too reassuring

In terms of GPS/ navigation, did you have any issues being connected to data or did you download the maps with the directions prior?
We had a local SIM card and reception was mostly fine. We also had the Thailand map download on Maps.me (offline maps) so we always had a back-up in case there was no reception!
Good video. Thanks for producing and sharing this!
Your video was a huge relief. Thank you so much

U did it reverse😊
We are going there this August! I can’t wait! Thank you guys
Enjoy your trip! ☺️
I’m going to Thailand solo in August too! Planning to do this loop but am afraid it would be too dangerous to do alone
It might be more fun doing the loop with others! It’s not so dangerous if you have some experience with driving in the mountains! ☺️
@@brandenalexander6038did it alone documented my journey as well! well safe made loads of friends on the loop
Thank you so much for this. Doing this loop tomorrow 😝

Hi, I'm going to Nam Lod Cave soon. Can you share how to go within the cave (is there tour or anything to book in advance?) Much thanks!

@@worldwildhearts Thanks for the sharing. In general how much and how long will it be for the tour with guide to enter the cave?

Just a small compact car. We were on a budget so booked a cheap one ;)

Thailand is fine, but Vietnam might be difficult as it's not allowed in the country...
Was in Vietnam... there was no problem. I brought 3 fpv drones with 10 lipo batteries. Everything OK! Thailand also:)
@@meddocrogelio1615 How did you bring the lips through? Check in or carry on?

We live there!
