This rc jet is fast, is it easy to handle the jet or do you have a lot skill in flying rc panes ? Just i think it was not so easy because it was windy . Anyway, you did a good job 👍👍
i offer some observations/analysis, for you and readers. (excuse my use of the word you, here; it is just a convenience.) you did not Determine the model's Gliding behavior. consequently, you did not have any idea what the model would do, during a/the first landing approach. evaluation of the glide slope likely would have revealed that this model is very floaty, for a jet fighter-like design. if you have no experience with gliders, real or virtual, you should Change That. gliders are not required. most full-size prop powered aircraft designs will glide; the sink rate may be high, in some cases. when a full-size design is miniaturized, the resultant model will usually glide 'better than' the reference design. gliding is not about flying slowly. in the case of a powered model, gliding is flying the elevator; such that, airspeed is maintained Sufficient to cause the wing to make enough LIFT. while also maintaining a nominal/acceptable sink rate. at 11:50, flare executed Too high. then, at 11:52, model falls out of the sky.! ugh.! googletranslate

It's not the prettiest thing to look at but I love this EDF jet. It was my first edf as well. I still fly it all the time. I actually switched the big wheels with a set of twin otter Wheels as they are much smaller and look a whole lot better and still handle grass-opps no problem.

Just watched Grandpa Gary fly his new biplane and he looked like he was flying a kite too. Missed out on trying my Mini Apprentice last week Sunday - there was no to very little wind. Was getting firewood with Dad.

You left one thing out that I like about this plane is you can hand launch it in beginner mode and you have plenty of time to grab the control even with a bad throw !

Just flew this Habu for the first time in my life. Maiden perfect flight - Second flight (all on 4s) I switched in-flight to Intermediate MISTAKE! The plane wound up being very wonky even after switching back to safe, throttle cut, everything I could think of it just flew strange. Will not do that again :) If (without that much wind) you see your jet "waffle" (wag back-n-forth) you need more speed :)
Compared to me you are a highly experienced pilot and it's kinda reassuring to see you having nerves after having flown quite a few planes. I recently bought my second plane (eflite Maule) and I'm super excited and nervous about the maiden flight. Think I may pick up a sim before I fly it.
Yes, yes, yes...get a SIM. I got RF9.5 with the controller...it was a "game changer" with regard to my learning curve and developing stick control and instinct. Saves money in the long run. You can also experience how different planes fly. The Maule looks like a great plane, combining performance and bush-plane characteristics. Good Luck with it! 👍🏻

Does the rf simulator included in this allow you to fly all the planes like the 9.5s version? Just got the rf 9.5s for 200.00. I didn't realize this would come with it. For 200 hundred more I could've gotten a plane and rf. Saved 200 in the long run
OK now you need to fly the e-flite Thunderbird 70 mm EDF F-16! It is amazingly easy to fly: very well behaved. Honestly I was nervous but surprised. My 76 year old eyes are so bad that I close one while I fly, but haven't had a problem with following it.

I have a few years experience but they actually recommend this as a trainer model. It's slow on 3s, fast on 4s. It's pretty gentle to fly though

Yeah it's a great option for a first jet! I'd say it's the mini apprentice of jets - super forgiving, great to learn on and grow with!

Nice video! The Habu is a great trainer plane, I wish they would also sell it as a BNF version, we love HH planes that have 3 modes!
Yeah i was thinking the same thing... for someone who doesn't need a transmitter/sim, etc but still wants the SAFE receiver.... maybe soon?
I know it's been a long time since this was posted but they do sell a BNF Super Sport version or a PNP standard version now.

Sorry, but a jet without retracts is just...wrong... LOL The E-Flite Viper is a much better EDF jet, IMO, and it still flies great and easily.
