The important thing about this is simply that you are careful when you open up the case. If you slip with the screwdriver and it enters the key, then it can knock off important components and your ruined. However, if you follow the video and take some care you will be fine.
Sometimes the reason the key isn't working has nothing to do with the key fob battery. If the key is damaged, there are holes in the plastic case and the switches inside damaged, a new battery won't help. In this case you need the key proerly fixed
