Awesome AK Suppressor - Dead Air Wolverine
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 2 авг 2024
- The Dead Air Wolverine is designed specifically to suppress your AK style rifle. It features a tapered bore, which helps avoid baffle strikes on non-concentric AK threads, and a classic look inspired by the Russian PBS1 silencers. If you need to suppress an AK47, look no further than the Dead Air Wolverine.

I planned on getting one for an AK100-type carbine. Its certainly a great choice for AKs even on just aesthetics alone.
Its an iconic AK silencer, it looks awesome and performs great.
You won’t find a 24mm locking collar needed anywhere.
@@Pavia152524mm collar is needed just to use it?
Hard to beat the look of a factory AK with a wolverine
AGREED
Just got my wolverine last week and my 26LH thread insert and m26 collar. this was probably the most helpful video i could find when it comes to explaining the 3 positions and what they are for along with installing the can on the ak. thank you! lol i was feeling a bit slow for a second. def the most confusing can and mount i have so far
Glad you're enjoying the Wolverine!
Great timing, looking to get my Kalash under control.
This is the perfect silencer for that!
I have one and love it...... Makes the AK a little front heavy as it is a chunky boi....... I need to SBR a 10" AK to have a better host for it.
It is awesome on shorter barrels!
Just got mine from the FFL today after waiting since August for it. Put it on my ZPAP 85 that has been SBR'd and it looks amazing. The muzzle device that came with my ZPAP85 was a yugo style flash hider so the suppressor on the front doesn't actually make it much longer on the front end than it was before.
I have a zpap92 and just got my wolverine- now I'm reeeeeally stoked to go let it go!
True Russian PBS-1 form with better sound reduction. I’ve got one on my PAP M92 sbr, RPD and another to share with my 16” Polish Underfolder and Micro Draco with subs (too much back pressure for supers on a Micro Draco). Working on a Mini Jack sbr with DAG-13, so I might get another Wolverine. It looks so good on every AK variant, just make sure you’re not over gassing it.
My wolverine pretty much lives on my m92 only time it comes off if I want to be obnoxious with the jmac laf break or for cleaning
It is the ideal AK silencer, it looks awesome and sounds great.
You guys need to stock the Putnik!
Is that an Aresenal SLR104FR in your video? If so I have the same gun and need to know exactly which insert and collar I need. Thx
Where's Mike? I'm still waiting for the Sierra 5 details. 😢
Well keep waiting 😂
I love my wolverine. But I must say my wolfman is awesome to. But I love my dead air cans. Definitely a simp for deadair hah. I'm waiting for a Sierra 5 for my 545/556 aks. But I'm thinking about getting the primal and a one I can take down so I can shoot 22lr and maybe I'll finally like 22lr haha.
Nice, it sounds like you have a great collection going on!
You’ll love the primal if you have larger calibers, that’s where that can really shines. And a mask is a great 22 can.
@@Infidel5723 thanks man for your input. The mask is the one I was looking at. It was the ones with the best features. As far as what caliber you can shoot through it
@@SilencerShop thanks man. Id have alot more if it wouldn't be for the useless ATF and nfa.
Not quite sold on it yet. Gets full points for looks on AK's but not practical or quite enough for the money. Does anyone have any experience with one?
Snugging the thread insert is a mistake. Read the manual. It must be torqued to 50 ft lbs. If you don't, it will back off while mounted and ruin the rest of your evening trying to take it apart fighting the spring.
I was about to say this as well, manual states 50 ft lbs.
Unfortunately, Dead Air refuses to sell the 24mm locking collar needed to properly attach the Wolverine to a 100 series AK or an AK-74.
I just found one today at a random dead air dealer in TN. I have checked every website and started making calls yesterday. After about 30 calls to different stores extending out from my location I found ONE. It's insane.
Can you put keymo HUB adapters on it so I can also put this on some rifles I have keymo muzzle brakes on?
Yes you can, part # WV211 makes it hub compatible, you'll still need the KeyMo hub adapter after that.
You can! You just need the Wolverine HUB adapter.
My rugged Alaskan 360 works perfectly on the AK and it gets no gas blowback.
Thats definitely another great choice.
Which AK? Rugged makes adapters for Zappa and AK74 thread patterns?
ZPAP
@@colkilgore9973 I use a 14x1 LH thread to 5/8x24 adapter On a WASR and Draco.
How the point of impact? Was significantly or minimal
Not bad, I would re-zero, but it wasnt crazy
Is it true that it's a 10mm hole. And that in theory you could run it on a kp9?
It is not recommended for use on 9mm hosts.
@@SilencerShopbut hypothetically speaking it could work??
@@brando104I did today on my CZ Scorpion running 147 grain and it worked flawlessly. There is just enough room with the first set of baffles for the bullet to clear. The gap diameter gets larger per baffle towards the front end.
@@ThatGuy23-17 hypothetically say I kno someone that ran one on there kp9 hah and it worked good. The thing is you have to make sure you have a newer one. Because the inner diameter is bigger one the newer ones
@@ThatGuy23-17 but honestly I wouldn't run it alot. One little thing and boom there goes you can. If the can start to loosen a little bit that's all it takes. Even tho it looks fuckin awesome on a kp9 not worth it. I'll keep use the wolfman
Where can i find the tax stamp shirt?
Currently unavailable, sorry!
Are y'all going to meter the Wolverine?
We leave the sound metering to the professional test labs!
SKS too?
It will work on the SKS!
Would this work on an m14?
Yes it would!
@@SilencerShop do they make a mount that can clip to an a2 style flash hider?
They should have called it the MAGLIGHT
🤣 That would have been great
Not the best but it’s the coolest looking. Let’s be honest.
It looks amazing!
Loud, heavy, high back pressure, horrible availability on thread adapters. Putnik takes the W
My sandman k is a piece of shit , the ratcheting mechanism broke before it had a round fired though it. Buy Surefire or OSS.
Call me skeptical. Seems like you're just on the anti dead air bandwagon because of the current issues with their Sierra 5.
@@PracticalTacticalSheepDog no I had the sandman before the sierra even came out. I’m anti dead air because it broke just putting it on my rifle and taking it off one time. Junk is junk. I like my DA Mask but wouldn’t buy DA anything again.
Explain how it broke? Mine doesn't ratchet but locks up as it should.
@@jasonlykins625 took it out of box , put on rifle. Took off rifle. Broke.
There is no ratchet system… it’s a thread and taper. The ratchet noise is just a plate with detents that was added purely for sound. So no. Your “ratchet system” isn’t broke.
Why are we still supporting DA way better options out there.
Not for Ak’s
@@calebclark6739not true anymore…the Putnik was just released and its made for Aks. It’s a lot quieter too…
I’m new to silencers so why shouldn’t I support them?
@@sl4029 Long story short DA had a massive QC issue with there S5 series can’s, baffles coming loose causing baffle strikes, cans blowing up on vid too, terrible problems, DA customers sent in there cans to be repaired not only did DA take 6-8 Months for repairs, they was completely radio silent with there customers barely any interaction with its customers, even though they had massive issues with the S5 Line they issued NO Recall and still sold bad cans to its customers for profit, then on top of that once everyone got there cans back DA slapped there customers in the face again and swept everything under the rug like nothing happened, So in all don’t buy DA out of all the other companies they tend to have the most QC issues with all there products and if your not aware DA does not make any of there own products as of right now it’s all subcontracted.
@@code_red7744they just had a huge recall for the Putnik 😬 unfortunately, I will wait until they figure out the problems with the welds.
All that to save money on ear plugs, that's nice
