i dont know, i never got NoName or Vanitas Remnants Weapon in BBS, but finished the Mirage Arena (atleast on PSP), i agree with KH3 Ultima, but 1 and 2 were not hard, just tedius...
My friend finally convinced me to basically every kingdom hearts game available on the Playstation . I'm 17 hours in on Kingdom Hearts' final mix, and I'm not gonna lie, my OCD ass brain is having a meltdown. I hate walking past something and knowing I'm gonna need to come back later for it. So far, the enemies have been OK, but I'm only as far as the Aladdin world
Fun fact, each Ultima weapon in the numbered games have the number of the game as the blade, KH1 has a sword like Roman numeral 1 for the blue blade surrounded by the decorations, KH2 has a split blade that makes Roman numeral 2, and KH3 has the 3 from the logo
between kh1 and kh2, i think kh1 ultima weapon is harder to get than kh2. i had to grind SO MUCH just to unlock the ability to get ultima weapon in kh1, but kh2, i was able to craft it shortly before beating the game. it did need a little grind, but it was so much easier than kh1.
For me it was the opposite, but only because im an idiot, i had made 2 exp rings instead of the required one and had to make 3 more dark matter myself to get one more required item, and it costs 5 mythril shards and 1 mythril stone to make 1 dark matter, the only enemy that drops shards is the spider pots in agrabah, who had a 1% chance of dropping shards..... so yea
Oh I totally agree, I remember spending HOURS grinding for the chance to make UW in KH1 In KH2 however I remember being able to do it with so much more ease
Base kingdom hearts 2 is the only one in the series I got the ultimate weapon in. With the collection I plan on finally doing it for kh1. Will probably never get BBBs keyblade because I have no patience for the command board.
I feel like I should mention, for players who focus heavily on magic in KH3, you *definitely* want classic tone. When fully upgraded it has 3 copies of MP Haste, and the higest magic stat bonus of any keyblade in the game. Yes, even higher than ultima weapon.
I always liked how the Ultima weapon is never the "Best" keyblade, but rather the "Best all-arounder" as there are many moments where the Ultima is not the best option: in KH1 it's very long and thus suffers from being slow, and it doesn't have max MP which is more important, DIamond Dust does. KH2, it may be the only way to get MP Hastega, but the other abilities matter more for destroying enemies and bosses faster like Decisive Pumpkin's Ground boost tripling the damage you do with finishers. and as you mentioned in KH3, the other keyblades have unique abilities that give it a niche over the Ultima, though Ultimate form kind of makes up for it with it's enemy vaporizing shotlock. Even DDD has Unbound having more attack power in lieu of having worse magic but it's kind of clear that Ultima is not the last keyblade as you have to beat Julius to even get one of the Special zones to appear. and ReCOM.....lol....
@@MarioMastar I don't like that the Ultima Keyblade is never the best. Shouldn't the Last Weapon and Armor you get in the game be like you unlocked god mode. Think you did everything in the game to get them and they are the best in the game. Not this Nerfed weapon you get. I like to think you did everything in the game to become the Final Bosses, Final Boss. Example You are to save the world and the Final Boss is to destroy it and you did everything to come close or are already close to their level to see who's Ideals come to fruition. The Final Bosses or yours
@@DARKMalice9000 Well the problem with that line of thinking is that you're equating it to a keyblade that doesn't reflect that sentiment most times. The Ultima Weapon is almost always just a trophy or victory lap. Very rarely is it's acquisition relevant to the struggle you put into the game and it's systems, unlike other keyblades.
@@DARKMalice9000 “shouldn’t it always be the best stuff at the end of the game” No. Not normally. Usually in any rpg there’s stuff you can go back and get after completing a main story. Generally the locked goodies don’t need to be the “best” per se. Sometimes. It’s just the glory of saying “I did this impossible task to get this weapon” ie. The reward is the journey not the item itself kinda deal.
classic tone is invaluable once it's fully upgraded for those sweet sweet MP haste stacks. perfect to switch to after cure. plus the transformation gives you defensive abilities. similarly the bistrot keyblade has the wizard's ruse ability that lets you heal by casting offensive spells, which is super useful when running pro codes since Cure is disabled.
Both Classic Tone and Grand Chef were absolutely crucial when I went for an A rank on pro codes. Without any other way to heal myself, that Wizard's Ruse played a big part in staying alive, and all that MP Haste made a huge difference in how often I could try for Wizard's Ruse. Getting that trophy wouldn't have been possible without both of them.
I don't think i went into MP charge a single time in my crit wisdom mystic playthrough. Cure is such a waste of MP when potions exist for such a low cost. MP safety and ethers with MP buff food. Also Damage syphon, extra cast, endless magic and magic thrift.
Recoded's ultimate weapon was a NIGHTMARE to get 13 floors is brutal not to mention that you might not even be able to get it as you still have to have the sector point to buy it, meaning unless you do EVERY challenge and take minimal damage( which causes you to lose points), you'll have to replay the whole system sector ALL OVER AGAIN!!! And the kicker it's a postgame keyblade, literally just bragging rights😢😢😢
Yea its 100% for bragging rights. You need to complete the max bet for each floor challenge too. Zero/One is the real Ultima in that game in my opinion
There's actually a really easy way to cheese the sectors making it much easier to go through. Basically you use the health cheat to set everyone's HP as low as possible while ensuring sora still has 2 hp. Then use the oathkeeper keyblade, and have your command deck stacked with magnets and elixirs. Then just always have your lvl at 4 by using an elixir giving you access to second chance and spam magnets which will kill any heartless. Just make sure to reset the health cheat before floor 13 as bosses aren't affected by the cheat.
Actually, you can receive two Gourmand’s Ring. 1. Getting 1 star at Le Grand Bistro. 2.Using the Prize Postcards from the Moogle shop and putting them in the mailbox in Twilight Town. Plus using the Grand Chef keyblade gives you another Chef Extraordinaire on top of the two Rings which makes it easier for getting excellents. Plus with the Harvester abilities you won’t have grind for ingredients that much.
@@michealforguson5317 hopefully they make their next mini game grind a little more cohesive in kingdom hearts for because I’m pretty sure they’re gonna do it again
End of Pain 10:34 is insane having the gazing eye since the master of masters made dream eaters and the special portals are all nightmares (lost dream eaters to darkness)!
Trust me, doing all of those Mirage Arena challenges and even defeating Armor of Eraqus and No Heart (armored Xehanort) is WAY EASIER than defeating Unknown (Young Xehanort). Therefore, the No Name keyblade, which you get for defeating Unknown, is way harder to obtain than Royal Radiance. This is especially true for Terra, who actually has cooldown between his slides and needs to time them properly to avoid Unknown's onslaught.
Unknown is very cheesable. Yea, if you don't use the cheese, he's incredibly hard, but if your only goal is unlocking the keyblade and not having a good challenge, then you're gonna use the cheese.
@@K_vonn which cheese are you referring to? The Goofy/Peter Pan D-Links or the fire/thunder surge spam? If it's the latter it's still pretty difficult to get through him especially in CM, lol
Honorable Mention should go to the Keyblade you get by beating all the Flick Rush challenges in DDD. If you don't know how OP Zolephant and Tyrantus rex are, you're in for a hard time. Zolephant has that ultra long attack animation that gives you ample time to recharge your cards and Tyranus Rex can bite most enemies and shake them around, rendering them unable to fight back...assuming they're small enough. Eaglider can also fly out of range of most attacks and so can Ryu Dragon, but Zolephant was the kingpin of Flick Rush. Honorable mention cause it's only hard if you don't know the right set up but if you do it's pretty easy. I still enjoyed Flick rush though. Reminds me of that Beyblade like Pin minigame in The world ends with you and I wish more Kingdom hearts minigames had that need for secondary skill that really could be it's own meta.
Yeah, I'm playing through DDD currently and flick rush is fun but challenging. Especially with the harder cups abusing the attack time to stack the card values.
I cant believe No Name from BBS didn’t make it onto the list. I know you just have to beat Mysterious Figure(Young Xehanort)for it, but holy hell that is the most brutal fight in the series imo. The fact that beating it without spamming surge moves has barely been done on a 12 year old game is a testament to the fights ridiculousness.
For the ice cream one you really don't need to grind since the tried and true way to catch each world's prize pods is using a mixture of magnet and thunder. Usually netting you more than enough to make the ice cream.
KH2 Ultima has to be the easiest version to get in the series imo since you get most of the needed materials by doing every world in the story and only a few relatively easy extra stuff.
@@D-Havoc Critical Mode, which many play FM on, also gives you 2 additional Lucky Lucky for free at the start. I've only had the results these people claim with Critical Mode. Without I've almost always missed materials even if I get Lucky Lucky as soon as possible.
I've only ever unlocked the Ultima Weapon in 1,2, and 3. I had to use guides, of course, but I got 'em. 2 took a couple of hours. 3 took a day or two. 1 required three days of hard gaming!
Honestly... I've obtained most of them throughout the franchise, but the absolute hardest in my opinion are all from BBS: FM 1.) Ultima Weapon (Villain's Vendetta) 2.) Royal Radiance (Peering into Darkness) 3.) Void Gear (Vanitas Remnant) 4.) No Name (Mysterious Figure)
10:34 Wait… knowing what we know about the dream eaters… Oh man the “End of Pain” is so much darker than we thought. You have to slaughter all of the special Union X remnants to get it? Horrifying.
KH4 Ultima gonna be like: -Complete all the Synthesis to unlock the Infinity Synthesis -Complete Infinity Synthesis by making 6 powerful stones -Using the Infinity Stones summons Thanos -Solo fight Thanos with a complete Infinity Gauntlet -Beat Thanos and you unlock the Ultima Weapon
Command Board is actually an adaptation of another Square Enix Crossover, Fortune Street (the crossover of Mario and Dragon Quest). The crossover may be characters alone, but it was a little fun to see Mario alongside Slime.
The reason 358/2 Movie should be watched first is because it starts when Sora released his heart in KH1, so even though it goes on way after Chain of Memories it still began before it, so that's most likely what their thought process was for unlocking those 358 keyblades in Re:COM
Honestly when it came to the end of pain Keyblade , I had enough patience when it came to those special portals . And may I just say that Kingdom Hearts 2 synthesis grinding for the ultimate weapon was actually less annoying than with the other two main games ? Because that’s how I felt when it came to synthesizing for the ultimate Keyblade .
Yeah, I often see people complain about the Synthesis system but honestly... I never felt like it was a problem. Farming items from enemies is kind of fun given how major the combat is in Kingdom hearts. it becomes a test of knowing enemy locations and how to dispatch them after stacking Lucky Luckys. Plus in KH2 Final Mix, you can farm Lucky Lucky Rings to get up to 18 stacks, which makes the drop rate about 80%. Sure it requires doing the Data fights over and over again but it's a strategic way to make things easier. KH1 you're mostly synth farming while you work towards level 99 anyway and KH3....my only gripe is getting Frost gems was a massive pain because after you beat Arendale, there are only TWO spawns of the enemy that drops them in the entire map. fortunately they're in the same area, but it does make getting them a bigger pain than necessary. I did like how some materials drop from the Gummi explorations though so that changes up farming things a little. I never had a problem with getting the Ultima. It was always one of the things I looked forward to cause it was often the sign that I completed the game and explored every corner of it. Which to me is what Kingdom Hearts really is about.
@@MarioMastar The issue with all of this is the hated ones tend to ignore the positives you listed. It tends to be an single enemy that doesn't appear in groups so you need to go back and forth through many rooms just to fight 2-3 which also eliminates most strategy as it is just 1 enemy. In other cases it might be an enemy that only spawns in a room that a cutscene happened in preventing their spawn the first time so you'd never know. It was even worse in the original KH2 because you had to use a keyblade to maximize drop chances which massively hurt your damage and destroyed a lot of the fun options you could have.
Pro Tip for the Re:Com Key To Rewards card. Just grind out on Destiny Islands. I did it in the very first room and would get them all the time. the later the floor, the higher the chance. And even then it should only take you a few rooms. Tested on PS5 only two months ago
Destiny Islands is fast because it's one of the latest floors and you can clear most battles with a single MegaFlare. while Castle Oblivion has those wizards that are immune to all elements so you have to use slower moves like Tornado and such to clear them out. I just grinded for them while grinding for enemy card drops since you'll eventually get them and the Random Joker that way....for SORA....(Riku, put on your steel wool gloves cause you're gonna be on the buzz saw for awhile)
@@Tosmasta00 thank you I cannot fucking stand all the stupid ass begging for likes and subs and merch and all the bullshit every single RUclipsr begs for every single video. Not even exaggerating it’s EVERY video
End of Pain is definitely a spreadsheet one, and it doesn’t help several special portals can spawn per drop yet only one of these counts towards earning this keychain. Even harder is that the final one for each world only appears once the others are cleared, so you initially start with a one in five chance of spawning an uncleared portal. The World That Never Was only has three as opposed to six for the other worlds, so it’s a fifty fifth chance becoming a one in three chance (the take damage two times or less bonus objective can be a huge pain here though).
I haven't even unlocked all these keyblade. My husband and I are running through the series to play them all (me for a second time for most of them) and we're on kingdom hearts 2 final mix. We played Bbs first since that's his favorite one. The sweetstack is my favorite one to use in that game outside the upgraded default keyblade for the trio. So much prize pod farming... Then the mirage arena where I just let him do all the work. I don't have good eyesight and despite playing these games since I was in middle school I'm not able to handle the mirage arena. I had the oeriginal and still didn't get them all.
The Ultima Keyblades I have unlocked are the ones in the numbered titles. 1, 2, and 3. KH2 and 3 were time consuming enough, but the one in KH1 was made all the more difficult in Final Mix. In the vanilla game, the ingredients list was shorter. In Final Mix, they added secret enemies, and you basically had to beat all of them. You also needed Dark Matter, which there was precious little of until you could buy it in the Moogle shop. And then there was KH3 and all the Flan enemies..just for one Orichalcum+. The Olympus Flan and the Toy Box Flan were the hardest to me. Anyway, that is my tale of woe. Have a great day.
The Fenrir keyblade: am I a joke to you? Took me soo many times to get it right. The meteor storms. That long ass sword. The blood pressure. And the sweet music made every attempt worth it!!! Probably the only battle where I truly learned about DOGE AND BLOCK. one my proudest achievements was getting it. Then they modeled Rikus new blade like it (I think so). Just a great and simple design for both!!!loved the video! So many keyblades I didn't know about!
I swear Kingdom Hearts as a series is good enough you really could replay every game each year and still feel like it was the first time all over again. I'm ITCHING to play KH1 again just to explore the worlds and rediscover the secrets.
One thing I've always hated about the HD remaster versions of BBS Final Mix, is that they never bothered to incorporate Wi-Fi into the game. Back when it was on PSP you could do Mirage Arena stuff (including the races and the command board stuff) with friends over a LAN network on your PSPs. But when it came to the HD remasters, they completely removed any multiplayer functions, instead of updating it to use Wi-Fi instead. It would be a lot easier to get the Royal Radiance, if you teamed up with two friends and took it on together, and would be more fun doing the races and the command boards as well (as they were initially intended, as you said, like Mario Party, and Mario Kart.)
Of all the keyblade I gotten throughout the series the hardest for me was Re:Coded Ultima Weapon considering you have to go through 13th of the hardest possible challenge some were easier than other but still hard regardless and the Ultima Weapon just cost alot of point so you have to risk half of your point every single time and then if you die you just lost all of your point and have to redo the system sector just to afford the keyblade and even if you get the keyblade it just for bragging rights.
In 2, all my friends just kept saying "to beat sephiroth use ultima weapon" so i did the grind and got it and a week later i beat him. My friends were like: ultima weapon makes it easy huh? Me: what no? I think it sucked so i used Decisive Pumpkin instead
So two things: In KH1, I never got the Ultima Weapon because I was dum with synthesis, but I was fine since I thought hey Oblivion was the next strongest thing and just the best looking one so... and I also never got over the fact that the recipe for KH2's Ultima Weapon is a red herring since it says you need 13 Orichalcum+ when there's only seven in the game so you have to use the material to cut the recipe in half!
Honorable mention: No Name keyblade - Birth By Sleep. This requires you to beat the literal strongest boss in the franchise. To put this in perspective, The Mysterious Figure is the _only_ secret boss in the entire series that had to be nerfed for future releases. Every hit from him is a one hit kill. Second Chance and Once More only make you a 2 hit kill. Some of his attacks are borderline unavoidable. He has no pattern, no set strategy, immunity to all status effects, and one of his moves straight up removes all your commands. The most common strategy relies on invincibility frames and luck. It’s a poorly designed boss fight, but one that you must finish to get the No Name
Honestly, I found kh3 critical mode to be more fun than other modes. Not because it was harder (though it was definately harder) but because they limited the attractions. On lower difficulties they were too strong. I had no reason to strategize on most fights because none of the enemies would survive long enough to bother. Limiting attractions limits your most powerful moves, and the increased enemy stats made my strategies feel more rewarding. Stacking multiple form changes or grand magics, only to unleash them all at once, felt really good. On my first playthrough, sometimes enemies would litterally die before I got the chance to stack them.
To me personally i love a challenge to try to get all the items to make the Ultima weapon, it just gives a bit of a extra boost to get your strength and defenses up along with what other abilities you gotta get as well, as far as the other blades goes.... I bow to those who achieve on getting them lol, ill stick with the standard mode XD
Admittedly, me being the big fan I am and having played the series more than multiple times, the hardest keyblade to unlock is ultima for recoded. Reason why is that even though I did it at level 68 it’s a reason why the game tells you the recommended level to even ATTEMPT is 80. Recoded I believe (gameplay wise) is the most unique in terms of structure of all the games. Ik in both DS games that leveling up overall isn’t traditional but as for recoded, it REALLY matters what level you are for certain areas of the game. Seeing that the pretty much ultimate challenge/secret thing to do is that last set floors which is 13(ironically) the challenges for each one is either annoying, tedious, or difficult depending on how you build sora out. And speaking of the last floor how data roxas changes throughout the battle? Yea bro it’s pretty hard even with me being more than knowledgeable about the series. As far as the two DDD keyblades that’s on here, even for completionists I consider those as chore keyblades. What I mean is that the actual task you have to do isn’t hard by any means, HOW you have to go about doing it is what one would deem it to be hard so ye there’s that. Good list though bro I use to watch you when you were originally on here and watch your KH walkthroughs so often regardless of how many times I already seen it. I wish those were still on here but seeing you back on here in some capacity calms that down. Keep going hard bro
I think we can all agree that the KH1 and Re:Coded ultima weapons are by far the most annoying ones to get. Requiring you to create one of every synthesis item in the game before making the ultima is already annoying, and only gets worse in the final mix version. And then you have Re:Coded which requires you to get a very high score in the hardest system sector in the game for a keyblade that you can only unlock in the post-game! There is only 1 other secret boss in the game left by the time you can even obtain it and its not even going to make said boss that much easier anyway. Just pure pain all around for those two.
Getting the Reward Card to Spawn is pretty easy. It doesn't spawn until you get to the 5th I think. And I usually farm it to get the earlier floors rewards usually entering in the through exit of each for since it's closer to most rooms without having to waste time
I still think locking Oblivion behind Critical Mode was a mistake; not everyone is able to clear that mode, and I definitely wasn't skilled enough for it. Given that Oblivion is among my absolute favorite Keyblades in the franchise, it really killed my desire to play ReMind.
Honestly, Im surprised that neither one of the sephiroth keyblades made it to this list, cause even when you had reaction commands to help with the fight in KH2, it was still one of the hardest boss fights to exist in the games.
Okay so yes I can agree on this list. However, in my opinion the Ultima weapon in 1 and 2 is not that bad to get co sidering you just open every chest and grind out some ingredients. But 3 is a whole different beast. Dude to going through the frozen slider game, getting the recipe, opening all of the chests, and the one thing that still gives me wrist twinges to this day being the suped up gummy ship fights. But in the end its so worth it since you get to bring all your collected keyblades to any other playthroughs on any difficulty
KH3 Oblivion weapon be like: GIT GUD SON!!!! But yeah, the most annoying keyblade to unlock always and forever will be the Ultima Weapon in any KH game with a synthesis list. Break out those drop rate increases AND those gamer skills cause you always need BOTH.
5:07 Actually you don't need a high score, you just need a score to get the golden Mickey, once you have a golden mickey you are well. How do i know this, well lets say that *I HATE THE BASEBALL MINIGAME AND IT CAN DIE ON THE FIRES OF HELL FOR ALL ETERNITY.* Oh sorry, it's just that remembering that mini-game makes me, absolutely livid.
Christ, Unlocking the Ultima Weapon is always a pain. Never have I hated Orichalcum + as much as I did in Kingdom Hearts 2. End of Pain is definitely the one that made me wanna cry, I played DDD on a launch edition 3DS with hands that were too big for the console, that is something I don't want to ever experience again.
The Ultima Weapon in days was so hard to even accomplish, it's not even a keyblade, just an upgrade. It's not bad for an op perk, but this literally took me 358/2 days to even get
I'm going to be honest for the few years you didn't upload I didn't have nearly as much interest as I did back when you were and now I've been playing all them again on PC 💀 I just genuinely appreciate you as a person sky I've grown up watching your videos and it's kind of crazy. I was like 13 or 14 watching you and hmk and now I'm 22 it doesn't feel real
You missed two. These Keyblades are obtained from bonus bosses, like Julius, except they are WAY harder then Julius. They are both from BBS they are called Void Gear and NoName. After you beat the game Void Gear is obatained by beating the Vanitas Remnant in the Bad Lands and you can get the NoName (Young Xehanort's Keyblade) by beating the Unknown in The Land of Departure. Before KH III they were ranked as the 2 hardest bosses in the entire series. Julies was ranked number 5 or 6.
I think the Void Gear and No Name aren't as difficult to acquire so to speak due to well-known cheese strats. Vanitas' Remnant can be cheesed with a Strike Raid cheese on all characters. There's a large 8-shaped rock in the arena that you can get the boss stuck on, and from there it's just a matter of using Strike Raid over and over, occasionally re-locking on to keep the lock going. Unknown (Young Xehanort) requires an Elemental Surge-based deck, a few heals, and a fuck-ton of spam dodging with the standard Dodge Roll/Cartwheel to abuse their i-Frames just to survive. The *REAL* challenge is Unknown (YX) as Terra, due to the fact his slide doesn't grant the same i-frames as Ventus' or Aqua's evasion maneuvers. And woe be you if you want to do the fight as Terra without an Elemental Surge-based deck
I never had trouble with the egg cracking game, i use my index finger and thumb to gently pull the thumbsticks and then use my middle fingers on r1 and l1. Tricks i learned from other games for more control of the sticks
Consider this: Bond of flame (Kingdom Hearts days). This keyblade is only avaliable for Sora, so you have to 100% every mission to unlock it, including beating the dustflier. You already have access to the kingdom key before Sora, and the Dream Sword that Sora can also use isn't a keyblade, but Bond of Flame is a keyblade that can only be used by Sora, so I'd say it's one of the hardest keyblades to unlock
I'm surprised more people aren't mentioning Fenrir. I had to beat the game without it, leave the game alone for a couple of years, play the game again and still over 100+ tries to get.
i have a few thoughts. the first one, the command board is actually fortune street lite. the mechanics are almost identical until you get to the part where your using commands. second, i'm not sure if 'i'm glad to know more keyblades exist that i missed. i played all the kingdom hearts games in the collections on their highest difficulty (at least the highest ones out the gate. curse you dream drop for locking critical mode.) and knowing that i missed some makes me want to go get them but also not. third, i never went to deep into birth by sleep. i'm not sure if i want to even try getting what i missed. fourth, i didn't have much trouble with getting most keyblades in KH3. well, except for the ultima, but who wouldn't. i also crumpled and found a guide for the lucky emblems. and finally, i honestly liked going through KH3 in critical mode. i know i may be a minority in that department, but i always like games that challenged me to break them or make it easier. and before you say anything, no i did not have the easy cheats on. i stupidly chose no cheats thinking i could make due. i could, but the final secret boss from the dlc almost broke me. never again... for now.
Unlocking KH3's Ultima Weapon was easily the most annoying because of one thing: the damned Frozen Sled minigame. No way would I brute force running repeatedly through it. I had to use a guide to find out where all ten treasures were, and even then you CAN'T get all of them in ons or two runs, like why? It was such a needless grind
Fenrir was the hardest keyblade for me to unlock. I haven't even heard of about 7 or 8 of the keyblades you mentioned in your video, such a mind blower. I think I'm going to have to give Kingdom Hearts two and three another try because I really want to be able to claim some of these legendary keyblades. The End of Pain, or whatever it was called, was my favorite one on the list you mentioned. Thank you for your time! Have a blessed day.
i disagree with your number 2 personally. with royal radiance you can experiment your way through the arena to fight no heart. the no name keyblade is much harder since you basically have to surge spam and hope he doesnt doom or combo lock insta kill you
The keyblade from beating Sephiroth in KH2 was a pain. Also I first played KH 1 on release (birthday gift) and didn't know you could swap keyblades. I got all the to Meleficent and took a break cause the grind (was like level 70 due to just using pure stats to get here) was excessive to do that and I was 10. PS2 broke and lost save, went back and played it several years later and beat it but I learned by the time I got to Halloween Town that you could swap keyblades. Beat RE: Chain of Memories on PS2 and will never touch that again despite owning the 1.5+2.5 collection on PS4 as well as both on PS3.
I will never forgive the ultima keyblade in kingdom hearts 1 who had the bright idea to put a stealth section in kh1? i just wanna talk to them. just me, them, and this pool noodle seriously, i managed to beat the treehouse challenge before i gave up trying to beat that stealth mission. the trophy just wasn't worth it.
Ultima Weapon wasn't too hard to collect their synthesis ingredients in the original version of Kingdom Hearts. ...Kingdom Hearts 1.5, however!! Why in the name of all things sacred would you put certain synthesis items exclusively in special Heartless that are not only hard to defeat (looking at you, Sniper Wilds!!) but also impossible to predict when they will spawn in in the first place?!
Probably been mentioned: 12:37 Hidden Dragon, Monochrome, Follow the Wind, and Photon Debugger are only in the original PS2 version of Re:CoM. They get replaced with Maverick Flare, Total Eclipse, Midnight Roar, and Two Become One, respectively, in the all the HD Remix editions. Star Seeker and Bind of Flame are in both, but as you said, none of these are in the original GBA release.
I remaber birth by sleep I dud every thing in the arena solo but the last boss rush I would die to the last boss with out fail till 1 day some one in school notices my kh2 shirt and we started playing the area together and got it done in 2 trys
Ultima Weapon in KH OG, after selling 5 orichalcum and 4 dark matters as a dumb 12 year old. Absolutely devastated. Had to restart the whole game because I didnt even know it existed until halfway through the game.
You don't actually have to play the classic tone games. U just need to get at least one point in each game then quit. It's tedious but you can get the classic tone
i remember playing the first kingdom hearts as a kid i just was playing around fighting some enemies, then going to the smithy in the upper floor of the accessories shop and it was just there for me to make it, the ultima sword and i even had all the ingredients on me. because i was a stupid kid i accidentally saved over that savegame a while later.
Ultima weapon in kh3 was such a drag, you don’t have to completely beat the base game to get it. But pretty much have to to get it which kinda makes it just a tool to make the final boss easy as heck (like the great deity mask in Zelda majoras mask). I havnt gone into ng+ yet, I know keyboards can be transferred over so guess there’s that, but ultimately I’ve never seen the hype to get these besides for 100% the game
Honestly I will never understand why the boss portals exist in ddd. Even if you try to use ng+, to gain access to the full dream eater bestairy in the journal. But the biggest kick to the teeth is that some of the rarer keyblades _get relocked_ ...just... _whyyy_ 13:22 so apparently a long time ago, someone from the speedrunners community actually made a guide on card drop manipulation was possible, using joker cards and some of the generic green cards, and ps4 trophies would try to streamline this further by experimenting on which of the rooms were the fastest to force the room of rewards, finding a jackpot spot within hollow bastion before malificent
In KH3 getting Oblivion is the hardest one to get in my opinion since you have to play it in critical mode to get it. Took me quiet awhile to beat it in critical mode
Re Coded was the worst. 13 floors, you have to gamble the highest amount for every floor, complete the challenge, fight the Eliminator, AND fight a super powered Roxas in one run without saving. I will happily grind for materials for hours over that system sector. I did it once, now I will never do it again.
Here’s my big issue with the Ultima weapon: in the mainline games, by the time you get the weapon you’re basically finished with all the content. There may be just a couple side/hidden bosses left so what even was the point? It should be the hardest to get, since it’s the best. But it shouldn’t be THAT hard (long) to get, thus defeating the purpose of it.

Fun fact about the Classic Tone Keyblade.

For me it was the opposite, but only because im an idiot, i had made 2 exp rings instead of the required one and had to make 3 more dark matter myself to get one more required item, and it costs 5 mythril shards and 1 mythril stone to make 1 dark matter, the only enemy that drops shards is the spider pots in agrabah, who had a 1% chance of dropping shards..... so yea

I feel like I should mention, for players who focus heavily on magic in KH3, you *definitely* want classic tone.
When fully upgraded it has 3 copies of MP Haste, and the higest magic stat bonus of any keyblade in the game. Yes, even higher than ultima weapon.
I always liked how the Ultima weapon is never the "Best" keyblade, but rather the "Best all-arounder" as there are many moments where the Ultima is not the best option:
in KH1 it's very long and thus suffers from being slow, and it doesn't have max MP which is more important, DIamond Dust does.
@@DARKMalice9000 “shouldn’t it always be the best stuff at the end of the game”
No.
@@MarioMastarnah in kh2 Ultima was broken with fenrir in Valor, master and final forms.
classic tone is invaluable once it's fully upgraded for those sweet sweet MP haste stacks. perfect to switch to after cure. plus the transformation gives you defensive abilities. similarly the bistrot keyblade has the wizard's ruse ability that lets you heal by casting offensive spells, which is super useful when running pro codes since Cure is disabled.
Yeah but it’s ugly. So I won’t be using it.
Who cares if it's ugly, the most useful ones are not pretty
This had a seriously sus thumbnail
Recoded's ultimate weapon was a NIGHTMARE to get 13 floors is brutal not to mention that you might not even be able to get it as you still have to have the sector point to buy it, meaning unless you do EVERY challenge and take minimal damage( which causes you to lose points), you'll have to replay the whole system sector ALL OVER AGAIN!!! And the kicker it's a postgame keyblade, literally just bragging rights😢😢😢
And to top it all off, zero-one outperforms it in many cases
Getting this keyblade as a kid was one of my greatest achievements
Don't forget about the Eliminator appearing so often
Actually, you can receive two Gourmand’s Ring.
1. Getting 1 star at Le Grand Bistro.
2.Using the Prize Postcards from the Moogle shop and putting them in the mailbox in Twilight Town.
Plus using the Grand Chef keyblade gives you another Chef Extraordinaire on top of the two Rings which makes it easier for getting excellents.

Especially with the harder cups abusing the attack time to stack the card values.
thanks for the tips. I'm at the later flick rush cups and my usual picks of keeba tiger, skelterwild, and eaglider aren't quite cutting it anymore
Yea I was shocked he didn’t mention No Name either
Crown unlimit in PSP was also a nightmare. The HD console release was made way way way easier than the PSP version.

For the ice cream one you really don't need to grind since the tried and true way to catch each world's prize pods is using a mixture of magnet and thunder. Usually netting you more than enough to make the ice cream.

2.) Royal Radiance (Peering into Darkness)
3.) Void Gear (Vanitas Remnant)
4.) No Name (Mysterious Figure)

One thing thar i love about the classic tone keyblade is that ist shocklock turns Sora into his Timeless river form so cool 😊
Timeless River Sora will forever be the best Sora...well him and Lion Sora.
Command Board is actually an adaptation of another Square Enix Crossover, Fortune Street (the crossover of Mario and Dragon Quest). The crossover may be characters alone, but it was a little fun to see Mario alongside Slime.
Anyone else wonder what he was thinking with that thumbnail? 💀
Just by looking at his avatar am not surprised
KH1 you're mostly synth farming while you work towards level 99 anyway
and KH3....my only gripe is getting Frost gems was a massive pain because after you beat Arendale, there are only TWO spawns of the enemy that drops them in the entire map. fortunately they're in the same area, but it does make getting them a bigger pain than necessary.

Ive literally just unlocked 2s Ultima Weapon, which was absolutely worth it to craft cause it's so fun
I still love this series like you wouldn't believe. Feel like I should play one of these games at least once every year. Great video as always. :D
I've gotten the royal radiance.....never again.
So two things:
In KH1, I never got the Ultima Weapon because I was dum with synthesis, but I was fine since I thought hey Oblivion was the next strongest thing and just the best looking one so...
and I also never got over the fact that the recipe for KH2's Ultima Weapon is a red herring since it says you need 13 Orichalcum+ when there's only seven in the game so you have to use the material to cut the recipe in half!

Personal opinion, I LOVE the Command board in BBS.
Imo armored xehanort is harder.
In the PSP not HD console version.
HD console version is too easy.

The only hard KeyBlade to unlock is the one that requires you to defeat the Mysterious Figure in Birth By Sleep
Definitely my most difficult ones were Ultima weapon in KH2 and the one Tifa Gives you after fending off Sephiroth in the same game lol
what is that thumbnail 💀💀
I'm surprised No Name and Void Gear aren't on here, both of those make me cry.
That bit about Critical Mode on KH3, you cannot whine about things being too easy, cause you’ll get the one ones whining it’s too hard.
But in the end its so worth it since you get to bring all your collected keyblades to any other playthroughs on any difficulty
kh1 ultima weapon haunts my dreams ever since playing kh 1.5 on ps3

To Get the chef keyblade, you just have to get 5 stars in the restaurant
The Gourmet one isn’t bad is you just save before each attempt and reload the save if you fail. I did that for the egg challenges specifically
I had gotten the End of Pain on my first run on Dream Drop Distance, and I have yet to defeat Julius.
Have a blessed day.
i disagree with your number 2 personally. with royal radiance you can experiment your way through the arena to fight no heart. the no name keyblade is much harder since you basically have to surge spam and hope he doesnt doom or combo lock insta kill you
Fun how he doesn't mention the truest pain: How they locked an Orichalcum+ behind *RNG!!!!!*
Getting the Ultima weapon should always be the end goal when playing a KH game.
I'm still having nightmares about the Frozen sled mini-game.
I’d say Re:Coded’s Ultima weapon is the hardest to get and isn’t even worth getting because once you do, there’s nothing to use it on
iirc, it's also possible to lock yourself out of the Ultima Weapon in KH1 if you accidentally use the oricahlcums needed to synthesize it
I will never forgive the ultima keyblade in kingdom hearts 1
who had the bright idea to put a stealth section in kh1?
i just wanna talk to them. just me, them, and this pool noodle
seriously, i managed to beat the treehouse challenge before i gave up trying to beat that stealth mission. the trophy just wasn't worth it.
Probably been mentioned: 12:37
Hidden Dragon, Monochrome, Follow the Wind, and Photon Debugger are only in the original PS2 version of Re:CoM.
I would have to say the hardest Kingdom Hearts keyblade would be the one in birth by sleep. It was the light saber.
You forgetting No Name from BBS. The Most Painful Keyblade to get
i remember playing the first kingdom hearts as a kid i just was playing around fighting some enemies, then going to the smithy in the upper floor of the accessories shop and it was just there for me to make it, the ultima sword and i even had all the ingredients on me. because i was a stupid kid i accidentally saved over that savegame a while later.
Dam, I remember challenging myself to get all the chests, mini games, an mickey mouse spots, so it felt good getting the oath keeper without knowing
The command board is actually "Fortune Street" nearly one-to-one.
I played the version on Wii that had Dragon Quest and Mario characters in it.
Honestly I will never understand why the boss portals exist in ddd.
Even if you try to use ng+, to gain access to the full dream eater bestairy in the journal.
But the biggest kick to the teeth is that some of the rarer keyblades _get relocked_
...just... _whyyy_
13:22 so apparently a long time ago, someone from the speedrunners community actually made a guide on card drop manipulation was possible, using joker cards and some of the generic green cards, and ps4 trophies would try to streamline this further by experimenting on which of the rooms were the fastest to force the room of rewards, finding a jackpot spot within hollow bastion before malificent
