I’m doing the BBS platinum too just finished the kh2 one the other day but I already have quite a few of the trophies cause I played the game and beat it a couple years back now I’m really going for now that I have kh1, khrecom, and 2 platinums

That Critical Roxas fight is a wake up call for a lot of people lol. If you didn't know about it, you just get clapped repeatedly. I *knew* and I STILL got dog walked a few times. Easily one of the best and most challenging fights in the game.
Just came across your channel and me being a Kingdom Hearts fan since i was like 4 it always brings me joy seeing kingdom hearts fans till this day, looking forward to KH3 platinum and BBS platinum
@@CompletionistTrav i only 100% the game twice. Both were on critical mode and both took 50 hours on the dot. So exactly two 100% runs for exactly 100 hours total. Really not that difficult. All the main story bosses can be beat by mashing x and the data organisation 13 defeats itself if you spam reflectga besides luxord and lingering will can be cheesed easily.
If people hate the KH2 gummi ship, then it's almost guaranteed they wouldn't like ANY of the gummi ships. KH2's gummi ship was considered the best one, gameplay wise. I even cleared all of it's missions before WITHOUT the donut ship.
Yeah I wasn't doing all that, gummi ship stuff is easily the least enjoyable thing to do in any KH game for me. I even enjoy synthesis grinding more than gummi ship stuff lmao
As someone who is currently doing the plat for Birth By Sleep you have my sympathies! I've finished the journal for Terra and Ventus and am currently getting close to finishing them for Aqua

The only thing I found really tedious was Ice Cream Beat as I'm not the greatest at rhythm games. Terra vs Mysterious figure did take me quite a few tries though as his dodge is so bad.
Terra is the only playthrough I’m concerned about tbh so I’ll most likely just do his first and get it out of the way. Insane how he’s constantly shown as the strong one but lowkey sucks to play as. 🤣
@@CompletionistTrav I would definitely recommend doing that. Especially when it comes to filling out the journals. Ven and Aqua are so much easier. Though I will say Ven gets it slightly easier than Aqua as he has superglide and if you get the Radiant Garden level glitch he's easier to level up
To me, Luxord is only more frustrating than Saix if you're trying to rush through. At every step of his boss fight, there's a mechanic involved that can be used to gain an opening on him or otherwise gain and advantage; Even when he just has cards floating around Sora, the twisting black clock cards actually drain his Time if you Flip them instead of destroying them. There's never that much downtime if you're just looking for all the methods to deplete his Time instead of only looking for openings to hit him.
@@CompletionistTrav the normal cardgame is actually the same rc as the gamblers have. so if you say went master form farming on them you are just set. the dm, tho mostly in the data fight, can spark off tho. why is it so fast. its the only thing in kh2 i need to pause buffer

Just came in to say the Roxas theme (The Other Promise) is one of my favorite themes in the series And the fact that they expanded that in Heart As One is still mind-blowing

By far my favorite game I played growing up!! Absolutely loved this game and remember it taking me a few days of giving up to win the final boss fight.
There is a better grind area, go to top of yen sids tower, put gullwing on main hand, bond of flame on final form, transform when you leave save room, get to low hp and firaga everything going down, each nobody giving between 2k-5k, netting around 40ishk when you get to the bottom, rinse repeat should take about an hour if starting around lvl 50
Nicely done. You're in for a treat when you go for birth by sleep plat. That game's superboss is outright broken, and unlike the other KH games, you're gonna have to do it 3 times( each for every playable character.)
I got KHII when it first came out so I missed out on a lot of this content. But as much as I hate that we didn't get the cool Christmastown outfits, it's worth the sacrifice so I didn't have to endure the Roxas fight and the data fights. Those look so hard- way above my paygrade as a casual player of video games :P

for anyone seeing the video and playing kh2, im still early in the vid so sorry if it gets brought up later, any spell can kill a boss when at 1hp (except magnet) so a blizzard or a thunder just end the fight. really handy knowladge for bosses not being annoying.
funny thing about luxord, you can reflect the card game away. funny thing about roxas, you can quick run cheese him to death funny thing about magic lock-on, it has infinite range, making armored xemnas 2 a joke there are alot of funny things in this game
As someone who has the golden crown and and has completed jiminy's journal I respect not only the time and effort it takes to complete such a thing but the sheer freaking willpower it takes to actually do it Edit* i didn't do it on critical I was on standard but still no small feat
@CompletionistTrav genuinely thank you I'm probably one of the top fans of KH 2 it was one of the first games I ever played and I've replayed it so many times i can play out every cutscene in my head but if that's not enough I went and got the heartless symbol tattooed in the center of my chest cuz I'm stupid and thought it looked cool in the game and it's not that it doesn't look cool its that it felt like someone was slowly cutting open my sternum by the time we were done my exact outline in sweat was covering the table where I had laid now that's commitment Edit I should mention that I've ripped open my leg before bad enough to almost bleed out and hit mean people till I've broken things in my hand its not that I have a low pain tolerance it just hurt that much

i played the game on day one without access to internet when it released on PS4. The final Xemnas fight was broken which made it the hardest thing ive ever done in a game when i fought him on critical

Wait till you find out you can beat the lingering will with negative combos and the key blade that gives negative combo. Jump swing land repeat and you win
I only has 15 things to do left. Beat Sephiroth, Data Org and Lingering Will. I was trying to do it on level 1 for the challenge and struggling greatly
@@CompletionistTrav I can see why. For KH1, a lot of abilities like scan and guard is tied to level up. For BBS and especially DDD, literal chip damage will catch up by the 2nd world so its not worth doing level 1 if the fight takes forever. For KH2, even on regular Crit, early games are rough due to lack of movement options, visibly against early game bosses and mobs. Surprisingly, KH3 had the advantage to this. You can either due pure level 1 but have EZ codes to fall back in case specific segments don't feel fair to get through. Or you can level up normally and use Pro Codes to have a level 1-ish stat without compromising abilities. Either way works and available for all difficulty modes. I had my own standards but generally everybody who do level 1 was to test their skills against super-bosses, not regular story bosses. But I ain't doing restrictions more than the game forced me too.

I considered doing the cheese but I wanted to prove to myself I could beat the fight legit and I’m glad I did, it was an insane feeling. I definitely got lucky with being saved by heals at least 3x but hey, a win is a win lol BBS can’t break me I’ve gone through worse 🤣 only thing I’m not looking forward to is the Terra playthrough tbh. Hate how the character who looks like they’d be the best is actually the worst.

Lingering Will is the hardest boss I’ve fought in any game, hell even how I killed him was a complete fluke 🤣 I think my Nobody would be call Xervis, it would have to be something derpy
@@CompletionistTrav He's up there, for sure. I think it took me around 2 hours, and the only other claims to that fame are bosses from Elden Ring and Sekiro. Kingdom Hearts does not fuck around with its superbosses. Sadly, the base game of 3 has no such contender, though I hear the DLC threw out some bullshit.
I just beat roxas in the story mode on critical yesterday my first attempt.was in 2021 and I said -QUACK- that so hard I only put it in again in 2024 😂😂 my ps5 is in rest mode on bullet hell dragon now. I will be playing the rest on easy mode I don't even care 😂😂😂 GG and great video man
My biggest regret on kh 2 100% was playing on proud, did everything despite not being able to beat any data battles, restarting after 60+ hours to 100% on beginner, then playing critical 😂
Yoy can finish off bosses with magick it saved my ass when i finally beat sephirot i ledt the berserk skill on and couldnt finish my combo got my mp back but was too scared to get close so i used thundaga to finsh him off
@@CompletionistTrav very understandable. i dont like the game much either. heck my eyesight forces me to cheese the game cause i cant read cards and dodge at the same time. good news for plat hunting. ALL enemy cards and even the random jokers have rng manipulation that ANYONE can do.
tbh challenge wise com isnt even hard, just tedious. bbs is harder then com but only cause terra exists. honestly in terms of difficult tasks kh2 and 3 might take the cake 3 higher then 2 cause no reflect.
I think critical mode kh2 is much easier in than critical mode KH3. I’ve beaten the entire game and got all the data battles and Terra by level 57? When I play critical mode on kh3 I need to be level 99 to go toe to toe with the data battles. Yozora is just a nightmare
After beating story you say you go back to do 2 cups in coliseum including goddess of fate. But… that is mandatory to get Ultima weapon which you already had before beating story. Huh?
Simple explanation: I couldn't get the brief part talking about the two cups I went back to the coliseum to finish to fit well before the final fight so I moved them to after it for video flow purposes. I assumed that over 20min into the video nobody would call out that extremely small detail.
Good christ, you didnt include that you built Ultima Weapon before your first game finale???? Thats its own moment of dedication in it of itself thanks to final mix…Nobody does that, Just Decisive Pumpkin and whoop his ass.
The ultimate weapon is pretty easy to get in kh2 one done it every time by the time I get to the world that never was even in my first playthrough back in 2020

All of the Organization XIII members’ names are their real names rearranged with the letter X Roxas = Sora Axel = Lea Xemnas = Ansem Xigbar = Braig Xaldin = Dilan Marluxia = Lauriam Larxene = Elrena Vexen = Even Zexion = Ienzo Saïx = Isa Lexaeus = Aeleus (Some of their names we don’t know so I left them out)
Honestly kind of common knowledge, especially since there's an actual cutscene of Xemnas scrambling Sora's name and putting an X in the middle to name Roxas. Though if you're just finding this out, a fun fact about Xion's name is that it comes from the designator for an imaginary number, "No. i". The "i" in mathematics is used to represent a number that doesn't exist, the square root of a negative number. Take "number i", or more specifically "No. i", add an X, and you get Xion.
So I love KH games, right? I love the franchise Is fun for me to see Goofy just beating the everliving crap out of FF7 Cloud But I'll be the first to say KH2 specifically is infuriating sometimes. Notably, the HP Gate of all mayor enemies. You can't kill mayor enemies without a finisher, either making you do a full combo or use magic. (Granted, magic is OP, Reflect is straight up broken)
@@majomaheriose I genuinely despised that I HAD to use a finisher to end every boss fight. I had Data Axel down to 1 HP several times when fighting him and couldn’t finish because the fire was around.

It really is, some of the harder ones felt like a cakewalk to me whereas some of the easier ones I found awful

@@CompletionistTrav I can see why. For KH1, a lot of abilities like scan and guard is tied to level up. For BBS and especially DDD, literal chip damage will catch up by the 2nd world so its not worth doing level 1 if the fight takes forever.
For KH2, even on regular Crit, early games are rough due to lack of movement options, visibly against early game bosses and mobs.
Surprisingly, KH3 had the advantage to this. You can either due pure level 1 but have EZ codes to fall back in case specific segments don't feel fair to get through. Or you can level up normally and use Pro Codes to have a level 1-ish stat without compromising abilities. Either way works and available for all difficulty modes.
I had my own standards but generally everybody who do level 1 was to test their skills against super-bosses, not regular story bosses. But I ain't doing restrictions more than the game forced me too.
Of the Data fights, Demyx will always be my weakness, i suck too much in that fight

I considered doing the cheese but I wanted to prove to myself I could beat the fight legit and I’m glad I did, it was an insane feeling. I definitely got lucky with being saved by heals at least 3x but hey, a win is a win lol
BBS can’t break me I’ve gone through worse 🤣 only thing I’m not looking forward to is the Terra playthrough tbh. Hate how the character who looks like they’d be the best is actually the worst.

Lingering Will is the hardest boss I’ve fought in any game, hell even how I killed him was a complete fluke 🤣 I think my Nobody would be call Xervis, it would have to be something derpy
@@CompletionistTrav He's up there, for sure. I think it took me around 2 hours, and the only other claims to that fame are bosses from Elden Ring and Sekiro. Kingdom Hearts does not fuck around with its superbosses. Sadly, the base game of 3 has no such contender, though I hear the DLC threw out some bullshit.

I just beat roxas in the story mode on critical yesterday my first attempt.was in 2021 and I said -QUACK- that so hard I only put it in again in 2024 😂😂 my ps5 is in rest mode on bullet hell dragon now. I will be playing the rest on easy mode I don't even care 😂😂😂 GG and great video man

My biggest regret on kh 2 100% was playing on proud, did everything despite not being able to beat any data battles, restarting after 60+ hours to 100% on beginner, then playing critical 😂
Critical mode honestly adds so much to the experience of KH2 imo, more than any other game

I think critical mode kh2 is much easier in than critical mode KH3. I’ve beaten the entire game and got all the data battles and Terra by level 57? When I play critical mode on kh3 I need to be level 99 to go toe to toe with the data battles. Yozora is just a nightmare
Going through KH3 crit right now and it is definitely unforgiving. You have to play every major fight nearly perfect or you die instantly.
Yozora is designed to be as cheap and underhanded as possible on Critical. Just look at him! He has hitscan hard CC for God's Sake!

After beating story you say you go back to do 2 cups in coliseum including goddess of fate. But… that is mandatory to get Ultima weapon which you already had before beating story. Huh?
Simple explanation: I couldn't get the brief part talking about the two cups I went back to the coliseum to finish to fit well before the final fight so I moved them to after it for video flow purposes. I assumed that over 20min into the video nobody would call out that extremely small detail.

The ultimate weapon is pretty easy to get in kh2 one done it every time by the time I get to the world that never was even in my first playthrough back in 2020

Honestly kind of common knowledge, especially since there's an actual cutscene of Xemnas scrambling Sora's name and putting an X in the middle to name Roxas.
Though if you're just finding this out, a fun fact about Xion's name is that it comes from the designator for an imaginary number, "No. i". The "i" in mathematics is used to represent a number that doesn't exist, the square root of a negative number.
Take "number i", or more specifically "No. i", add an X, and you get Xion.

@@brennenhiatt7479 Tbh I just wanted to do the numbered games and ignore the side ones up front because I knew 1-3 had the most fanfare. I actually really enjoy BBS as a game, just never Platinum’d it so it’ll be an interesting challenge. The video on that will be out in December.
