Speaking of pumas, you know about Messi the puma, go to RUclips and search for "I_am_puma". He was going to go to a petting zoo but got adopted. He lives in Russia along with a cheetah!
They are after all “cats”. They keep a low profile. If they want to remain unseen they can do it. This one has probably been driven out of his regular environment. What a privilege to see that though.
My first impression after seeing all those roof tops from the aerial view is that so few Americans have solar panels on their roofs. Australians provide 14% of the country’s entire electricity needs from roof top solar.
Let the cougars be free! There eating our cats, there eating da dogs, there eating our pets……… let them eat. They after all where there before you was lmao
Wildfires may have pushed lots of cougars out of their previous habitats. It's happening on the Peninsula this year, since the 2020 Lightning Complex fires in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
You stop it. 27 puma caused deaths in over 100 years (including kids btw). Fact check it. That kind of paranoia is why deer and boar are so rampant and how crop yields get lowered. They’re in rural areas, seen two of them and no story, no problems.
When a Puma goes into your backyard, thats scary. Especially when you have toddlers that play in the backyard. 27 deaths is a trivial number for some but not for me.
I live in Florida and have friends in Naples who have cougars in their yard. All I have is rattlesnakes and water moccasins. I'd take a cougar any day over the snakes. Beautiful cat!
Why would anyone leave a toddler unsupervised and I don't believe mountain lions are looking for toddlers they're probably looking for animals that we hunt and take out of their environment
@@blackbelt524 oh it happens The case of a 5year old Dulce Maria left unsupervised at a public park and till this date she hasn’t been missing. So yea unfortunately it does happen.
When these wild animals come to suburbs, it’s a last resort for them , they want to be as far from humans as possibles, desperation can be very dangerous.
Ye man, this thing even being in this neighborhood spells it out. Do local animal shelters use tranquilizer darts to be able to get this thing out of there?
There was a wolverine seen in my neighborhood in northern Utah numerous times last week. The last time there was a wolverine was seen here was the late 70's. You are correct these animals are desperate and they are looking for water.
This is what happens when the wild ones homes are destroyed by humans. They have to find new food and water sources if they are to survive. What a shame because I know how this kind of incident will end😢
Look at the area on google earth.. there is a quite a large area that goes from this neighbor hood to the coastline and it's mostly rural up and down the coast here. It isn't a last resort, likely lockdowns and a dramatic drop in human presense outside in this area has made it so the cat had no enocuter to divert it away from the edge of town. Also like is said in the video it may have been pushed out by it's own mother and it could just be a sign that the population is healthy for these cats. I've lived here decades and you hear about sightings of these cats nearly every year around the edge of that side of town.
It's typical for a young male to roam hundreds of square miles looking to establish territory. This is why most of the lions encountered in residential neighborhoods are young males. This lion is definitely eating.
Damn I dont know what I was thinking but I thought mountain lions were way smaller than African lions this thing is huge. Like someone else said, seeing them on the humans territory is a bad sign. This lion must be starving and any who encounters it is in big trouble. The story of the 2 mountain bikers in Washington not long ago who were pursued by one and got off their bikes to confront it ended very badly.
@@twostop6895 it was surreal though, or maybe exactly what one should expect, because the lion was already attacking the first guy. He had his head in his mouth and then when he saw the other guy running he went after him and dragged him to a cave and killed him. There's no dog alive that could fight a mountain lion and survive, the main reason is canines have but one weapon is their bite whereas mountain lions have much more strength than dogs and use their clawed front and back legs to hold and rip the prey to shreds. Much to my chagrin as a old lion hunter I found this out the hard way loosing several dogs.
