Upgrading to the 2165cc Engine - MK1 Renault Trafic 2.2 Engine Swap - Part 10

In Part 10 I focus on crossing off all the remaining jobs from the list, and test it out on the open road.
The gearbox oil I used is the following:
Main Compartment - EP80 Hypoid GL-4 : www.westwayoils.co.uk/collect...
Final Drive (Diff) Compartment - Elf Tranself TRX 80W140 GL-5 : www.ebay.co.uk/itm/193498544754
The Tranself oil is new old stock with a limited supply available, when this runs out then the closest I've found is a 75W140 GL-5 : www.westwayoils.co.uk/product...

Here is a quick guide to the various oil amounts required:
Main Compartment:
4 speed gearboxes (front wheel drive) - 1.7 litres
5 speed gearboxes (front wheel drive) - 1.8 litres
4x4 gearboxes - 2 litres
Final Drive (Diff) Compartment:
4 or 5 speed gearboxes, front wheel drive (Colder climates) - 1.45 litres
4 or 5 speed gearboxes, front wheel drive (Warmer climates) - 1.3 litres
I wasn't able to find the levels for the rear wheel drive models, so you will have to rely on the level overflow technique on these.

Maybe the radiator is too good and confused the thermostat/sensor and fueling

On the old engine, did you try to remove the rotor arm and if so can you share how you did it? Mine is jammed solid. I may be missing something.

I think if you're moving at speed you wont get overheating anyway. Mine overheats when stationary if radiator not working

Now i'll be honest I hate renaults i really do but I love old vehicles and am warming to the old trafics don't think I could bring myself to own one but near me there is a camper converted K reg 2.0 Diesel one thats sat outside somebodys house with an MOT failure preventing it from being used on the road even though it is actually sat on the road at the moment I would love somebody like you to buy it and do it up it needs welding but id hate to see it go for scrap if your interested please comment and ill let you know the details

did you install the fuel pump with 3 or 4 bar pressure? do you still have the problem that when it is cold the engine starts badly? what exactly was the problem? thank you very much, very nice conversion! my engine 2.2 the same one you have doesn't start at all when cold! only with gas or brake cleaner Start Pilot! when he is he runs great!
