I currently have the Z50. Similar issues you mention towards then end. As a hobbyist, feel Nikon is leaning towards professional and not including the hobbyist anymore. Their lack of a D500 replacement and not having animal eye detect (other than dogs and cats...come on) is causing a lot of my friends to jump ship. I am hanging on though. Well see. Keep up the great work sir.
Nice tutorial on a severally underrated camera. Missing a few features I hope we get with the Zf but has never failed me in any situation. I've experienced the same focus issue with every camera...not just the zfc and Nikon does a good job of allowing the focus ring to override the focus in those situations. I'm sure it's a menu setting somewhere I didn't find in my brief time with the cameras but that's been a frustration with Sony.
I'm waiting for the ZF or Z6iii...had to send the Z8 back because my computer and or editing software could not handle 47mp. Loved it for the month I had it and Adorama gave me full credit back on my card. Great video today,so I will keep using my D500 until Nikon has a camera I can work with
I was going to get this one or the Zf but as you said the d500 is better and I already have it for some time now. With the results I get from the d500 I couldn’t justify a new camera.📷

This video is incredible. Thank you!
Terrific video with loads of great tips. I like the extra reach this camera gives me over my full frame camera. Many thanks from Canada.

I’m very excited to see how the Zf stacks up!

Hi Allen what setting do u use to the circle in the view finder
What are those bollard things on your strap eyelets? Is that some kind of quick release for the strap? If so, can you share the product?
You probably know it already by now, but yes, they are quick release points (anchor links) for Peak Design camera straps.
When the AF locks onto the background I've found that releasing the back focus button momentarily then hitting it again works 90% of the time.
I thougt about getting started with the Zfc. Thank you for this video, it is really nice to watch :) What lense have you used for the bird shots?
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Personally, I use the 300PF and the 500PF.
How good is the AF
The auto focus has stopped working in my Zfc. When I depress the shutter half way, the focus does not change. How do I turn autofocus on?
Did you by chance change it to back button autofocus?
I will check if I did. But I did a reset to factory default settings and the auto focus worked again. Thanks
