@@SpartanKyuubi Agreed. I've used the heavy duty wheel cleaner for years and it works it's magic. Nothing against the Adam's because it's really good, but you should give the heavy duty from Griot's a shot. It definitely eats away at the brake dust immediately like the Adam's had shown.

Griot's Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner - great smelling product but Griot's forte definitely isn't their wheel cleaners in terms of cleaning ability
Griot's Wheel Cleaner (used here) - seems like an all purpose cleaner diluted 4:1
Adam's Tire and Rubber - solid performance here. I tried their dedicated Wheel Cleaner with a gel like consistency, and was not impressed. If it touches any part of your tire, it almost immediately causes it to brown, so I was surprised to see this product perform so well. Adam's seems to always be hit or miss
Sonax Wheel Cleaner Plus - considering how expensive this stuff is, Sonax needs to go back to the drawing board with this one

Nice video and great work. Just to add on the application of the Sonax, you have to spray it directly on the dry rim and let it sit for 2-3minutes before agitating with the brush and the result will be much better on 1 pass compare to wetting the rim. It gives best result when it's being apply on a dry rim and that's where the magic.

If not you are agitating into the clear coat brake dust and dirt that could have been rinsed off. Next I follow with the cleaner. Get great results every time. Not wrong either way. This is just how I do it. Thanks for watching

If y really want to do the best u can, spray cleaner first, let dwell and brake down debris, rinse without agitation. This will get all the loose stuff off and a bit more. Now, spray some more cleaner and clean like normal then rinse. This is the safest way but takes longer and uses more product.

Griot’s Heavy Duty is flat-out great, same with Koch Chemie Magic Wheel Cleaner. P&S Brake Buster is geared more for the professional detailer, it delivers consistently good results, not GREAT results, at a fraction of what one might spend on Griot’s, Koch Chemie or Sonax. For us guys putting forth the time and effort to get our personal cars dialed TF in, it doesn’t matter if we spend the money for an ultra premium product. On the other hand, a guy who is detailing 3 regular traffic pieces a day, six days a week, and trying to be competitive, P&S might be the way to go. Those ultra premium price tags will eat up a businesses’ bottom line about as quick as Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner will dissolve years of baked on brake dust.

As a professional detailer, id go with diluted adams, on tires too. Power wash the wheels first. Then let the mixture sit for 1 minute then spray again for another minute to keep it wet on the surfaces longer . Dollar store bristle brush on the tires. Clean rim, rinse. One tire at a time, but you can spray the next before you finish the first. I've had mixed feelings about dark fury on heavier soiled rims and tires

I've been learning to clean my tires/wheels lately. I bought Gtechniq's W5 (Citrus APC), and it didn't take the browning out with one pass diluted at 10:1. I tried it again today diluted at 5:1 along with new tire brushes. It seems to have improved. But now I'm confused because I got it to the point of seeing white foam instead of dirty brown but the brown on tires still remains. I guess this is what they refer to as the "blooming" effect? I probably need Adam's or maybe try W5 at full strength. I also thought your bottle of Super Clean could do this, no?

Just be careful to not let it dry on there or sit to long. I have never had a problem but be careful with any of these products. I always dilute them based on the dirt level also. Super Clean for the tire and Meguiar’s Wheel Brightener fort the rims. It’s the best combo I have found. Haven’t tried Adam’s though.

Adams flys off into the sunset laughing. It was pretty clear at the start, as Adams foamed up more than the others, and quickly turned brown. Great test, & funny editing of Everest. 👍🏽

Enjoyed the comparison. Just confirms for me what I realized years ago - Sonax is way overpriced and doesn't do the trick. Sure it's eco-friendly, doesn't hurt a fly, but only mediocre at cleaning. Hope you will test out Shinesupply Wise Guy in the near future.

You do NOT rinse wheel prior to spraying Sonax. You spray on wheel dry and wait for it to change colour. Rinsing probably weakened the Sonax result.

Adam's is hard to beat! I think Brake Buster for normal maintenance (more economical) and Adam's for really dirty wheels would be a winning combination. I believe that's what I'm going with moving forward.
