I love the quality and detail of your work. Thanks for not half doing your customers. I'm looking for your address now to bring you my truck to repair my lifters. The mechanic near me is talking about how he can by pass the DOD or the special lifters. I don't know the correct name, but they are not the regular lifters. Anyway, great job and take your medication for your allergies like your wife said. You and my daughter have all-day allergies if you don't, and the cats are so cute.

I really like watching your videos and good work. I will make a slight criticism and it's only to make you aware of something. So I had the same issue with my escalade last month except my lifter didn't fall apart but seized up. Anyways it's very important when re-using the oil pump that you install guides before removal. That way it perfectly lines up when re-installing. If your using a brand new one it doesn't matter. The manual is very specific on this and your oil pump can fail if you are off. There are a lot of videos on this and like I said it's important to have that right. Might not fail this week or next but will likely fail and the. Your pulling engine again and worst case replacing engine.

Thanks Alex. My cad is in the shop now for this. Just curious why if you take this engine so far down that you don't rebuild the bottom end of it replacing pistons rings and bearings? Wouldn't the labor to do the whole thing be pretty close to the same at this point? In my case that was the case so I went for the entire rebuild. I also had 138k on the motor when the lifter finally failed.

Warranty time on this job is 21 hrs. GM is nuts and there robing all the techs blind. They wonder why they can’t find new kids to do this job.
No one wants to do this any more. Especially when something goes wrong. It’s not easy anymore. On top of that it’s a long way back to take out a new defective lifter that you just installed because GM makes junk parts.
My hat goes off to you, sir.
I hope your making enough money from RUclips. Keep in mind your giving away your hard earned skill that took years of blood and sweat learn to other people for free.

GM / chevy and anyone selling these cars are straight up crooks. they have done everything under the sun to try to blame me trying to act like i lapsed on oil changed when i didnt. buncha shady ppl in the auto business. good to see there are a few good ppl left.
