  • Hey Good People,
    I had a Chevrolet Tahoe in the shop this past week. The customer was hearing a roaring noise from his suspension. Before I became great at diagnosing engines, I was a suspension specialist. Fixing things like this are a piece of cake... most of the time.
    In this video I am going to Diagnose and Repair a Chevrolet Tahoe. Enjoy the video, I hope you learn something!
    Your favorite Mechanic,
    Alex

    I'll tell you a great way to sell more work. When the client comes to pick up their vehicle, just give them a write-up of what needs to be done. People don't trust mechanics but giving then knowledge, without the pressure of spending more will have them coming back.

      13 mins and 10 sec in, if you want to check. The camera was at just the right angle to pick it up.

      It wasn't the boot. I saw it pop up and down when you pulled on the knuckle. From your POV you couldn't see it, but the camera did. Sorry a screenshot wouldn't show what I'm talking about, or I would have. He probably would have declined the extra work anyway.

    Alot of Good info in this one the Way, Alex The Car Doctor Breaks things down, is extremely helpful like the little details and facts on certain things. And even little things that if hes off he puts a edit over and corrects it, now I'm not a mechanic 🧰 but after watching a lot of these videos, it kind of seems as if the engineers of certain vehicles Make it more challenging on mechanics. I could be wrong though, thank you for the content learning something new everyday 💯

    Alex know what is up with steri-cycle that ish stinks so bad i use to work next to one at a hospital and it is such undescribable stench but what is weird 1 night I went on a night walk thru the
    Suburbs housing neighborhood and I smelled that unmistakable stench of a steri-cycle but there was no hospital around there for Miles someone has a serial killer with a steri-cycle machine in there backyard

    • @AlexTheCarDoctor
      @AlexTheCarDoctor  3 месяца назад +1

      Man it smells HORRIBLE! A steri-cycle employee told me they burn body parts and dispose of hospital waste. Like if someone gets an arm amputated, it goes to steri-cycle or like anything that has blood and was disposed by the hospital. That’s what he told me. I hate that smell!

      @@AlexTheCarDoctor yes indeed I worked at our local hospital where I live for 15 years and our department was right next to the Santi pack and yes they do cook all the blood guts amputated extremities etc. and that was a smell I couldn't ever get used to smelling and if there ever was/is a hell I would imagine that would be the smell of it the bowels of humans and then some. I was surprised to hear Alex the car doctor mentioned it

    You caught that low torque on those lugs I was going to say it has to be at least a hundred. And also I understand you have to put the tire down but you don't want to put weight on those tires until they're fully torqued. You'll get different readings with the weight of that vehicle on those lugs. If you put it down just enough to cause it to not spin and then torque it they get torqued evenly
