- Here's what my morning routine looks like in quarantine. As a TV news reporter, I'm still working but we're doing things differently than we normally would, and that means my morning routine is looking a little different!

Hellloooo! My name is Clancy and I'm a 24-year-old TV news reporter. I'm originally from Long Island, NY but I moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where I work for the CBS affiliate, Local 12. Livin' the dream. :)

Clancy: I eat the most at night, its probably not good for you.
*eats chicken, broccoli, carrots, sweet potatoes.
Me: eats ice cream, cookies, chips, and whatever else is in the house

@@ClancyBurkeX I wouldn't say you're screaming. Haha Elizabeth's right! Enthusiasm is good for when you want people to pay attention. I don't live in Cincinnati but I do live in the same state. My local news channel has good reports/anchors but I don't feel they're enthusiastic like you are. I'm not comfortable saying publicly where I live and stuff but if you check your instagram messages, I can message you and tell you what my local news channel is. If you're interested.

I wake up at 3am to go to work, but my day is over at 2pm lol my kids & dog are asleep & my husband is somewhat awake when i leave, but passes right back out.
I love oatmeal every morning too :) my recipe is oats with coconut milk, ground flax, chia seeds and blueberries. You can also add vanilla extract, cinnamon and strawberries but I'm allergic to those.

Also you can use dish soap, try the baby aisle and natural food stores for soap as well. Could use shampoo or body wash as well if needed. Bar soap or hand soap is sometimes mixed in with the dish aisle too.

I got my parents who live 3 hours away from me a doggie ❤. They are both 65 and live on a farm and run a group home for elderly disabled guys. I'm worried to death about them and not being able to help them this summer with the yard and with the guys they care for. I'm trying my best to help them over the phone the best I can. Someone in their area had a 2 year old male guard dog they were going to drop off at the SPCA. I got them to give the dog to my parents instead and they absolutely love him. He's the best thing they have right now, a great distraction.

Yup, I'm pretty used to putting on the mics, I'm in theatre so we constantly have to change mics. Also try having to put on a mic 2 minutes or less before you go on stage, plus, you have to put it around your ear and tape it on your face. Not to mention we dance really hard and sometimes the mics (they cost around $500+) fall out and are hanging from where it is taped on your face

Haha love this Clancy - I honestly could not imagine having to change my habits and life in order to wake up that early! We actually just shared our consultant 6am work morning routine where we attempted to wake up earlier here in Toronto and let's just say it was a struggle ✨

Worked night shift this weekend and so much more respect for you getting up at 2am!!!!! I'm gonna chunk sleep tomorrow morning (4 hours then up then 6 hours at night to flip back to days). I'm not sure if you've heard of Emily Noel on yt, she was a tv news reporter and did 2am wake ups for 8 years I think. Love the content, always makes me smile.

If you still can’t find any hand soap at the store you can use dish soap! Obviously it’s not ideal but can get you by until you can find hand soap at the store.

My dermatologist assured me that it's ok to use a good quality body wash in place of hand soap as it's the *scrubbing* action that's the key. So... we've got Irish Spring temporarily in our hand soap container. Hand soap is almost impossible to find here in NYC! Love your videos-- so cool to see your work from home! Bravo on finding a career you love. With your work ethic and energy you were meant for tv news!
I'm one of those caffine people lol before lockdown I use to wake up at 3am for work and the first thing I would do is make myself coffee and I would be drinking it as I was getting ready 😂😂 then depending on how much sleep I got the night before I would be having a second cup in my travel mug on the way to work 😂
I’m the same way. I’ve been so much more productive at home than physically being at my workplace. You’d think it’d be the opposite, but nope! 😂
Yeah, definitely not getting waitress vibes with the outfit! I’m a waitress and I’ve never had a uniform like that, lol! But I just love your work clothes, especially all of your dresses! They look so good on you and really match your body type. I remember one video you were talking about your work clothes, and you said most of them are Ralph Lauren. After you said that I went and looked at the Ralph Lauren section at Macy’s and I couldn’t really find anything that I liked, but I just love your clothes💜💋
I love Macy's but also love finding them on Poshmark where they're much cheaper! (It's an app where you buy used clothing #ballinonabudget)
@@ClancyBurkeX funny you say that because I sell on Posh which means I buy secondhand and for some odd reason I've at times thought...maybe I'll find a cute dress that I think Clancy would wear and send it to her. But then I'd have to ask what size you wear and that might ba a little weird.😂 If I had to guess though I'd say a 4🤷♀️
The microphone can disconnect from the body pack. This is typically what I do. I hand the talent the connector and ask them to drop it down their shirt while I hold the head of the microphone I let them do the fishing around on their body so I don't have to reach in too closely. When they fish that through I clip the mic on and let them tuck their shirt back in and then I plug it into the body pack and clip it on to their belt or maybe put it in a pocket.
I think this is easier than trying to reach down and grab the mic and pull it up.

Clancy is one of the few RUclipsrs in which I like their videos before it even starts because I know it's going to be good. It completely baffles me how she can loosely memorize all those stories in such a short time, do her live hit amazingly (most the time), and then move on to the next script, day after day after day. Amazing and very interesting. But hey, if you have a passion it comes naturally I guess.

I’m in Cincy and had the same soap issues. I ended up getting some online from a company called Blueland. Check it out it’s pretty amazing! You just drop a tablet in warm water and it becomes foaming hand soap!
I’ve been buying cheap body wash to fill hand soap pumps, it works 🤷🏻♀️
