You have to go back on Saturday for all the Hawaiian style food. The desserts are top shelf since the chef is from Hawaii. Always on my list whenever I am in Las Vegas. The long drive is worth it. They also have an OG coffee shop.
This review was outstanding. Most reviewers of Vegas buffets walk past the items too quickly or skip certain dishes without naming them. Yours was very thorough. The prime rib looked good which is the main reason I would eat there. I prefer pre-peeled shrimp as I don't like fighting through the shell for a tiny piece of meat. The rotisserie and fried chicken both looked great and the desserts offer exactly what I look for: Cheesecake, blueberry pie and pecan pie. For whatever reason, Vegas buffets seem to offer large choices of cakes but not pies. The pizza also looked good, but I tend to avoid things like pizza and pasta at buffets because they are too filling and I want to eat the things like prime rib to get my money's worth. The charcuterie you ate looked like capicola which is something I also enjoy. I also thought the buffet was priced appropriately. I eat the same types of foods at all the buffets in town, but eating those types of foods at a Strip buffet is a waste of money. I have visited this buffet for the Sunday brunch. At the time, I had a 50% off coupon which made it well worth the price. However the drive is a big issue for me. Although I am a very frequent visitor to Las Vegas, I typically stay at hotels on the opposite end of town like South Point, Sunset Station or Sam's Town. This adds about 5-7 dollars to the meal for gasoline making the drive not worthwhile. Still, I will keep this buffet in mind if I visit Red Rock casino again which I do every third or fourth trip.
Thank you for taking the time to leave an extensive response, and for the compliment! The prime rib wasn't really bad at all. I've been to buffets where the prime rib is shockingly not worth eating (if that's even possible, but Morongo Casino Resort buffet near Palm Springs, CA managed to pull it off one fateful evening about 10 years ago). There's even some buffets in the Vegas area where the prime rib suffers from being a bit tired. But not here. It's not top-tier prime rib, but it's good enough. I share your preference for having my shimp already peeled. That's another reason why I don't often eat crawfish. I feel like I'm burning more calories taking them apart than I am getting from the tiny bit of meat in their tails. I feel like we share some common buffet strategies too by avoiding the more filling items: pizzas, pastas, rice, and other starches. But I wanted to see why some of these items were flying off the buffet line. I think next time I might need to put in 4 hours at a gym prior to visiting a buffet to make room for the filling things 50% off coupon?! What a steal! And I agree that the drive from Red Rock makes much more sense than the other places you mentioned, which at opposite ends of the valley from the Rampart Casino. Thanks again for stopping by!
I normally watch other food/buffet reviewers' videos, but the algorithm sent this video to me and I'm glad it did. Initially, I wondered why you took time to describe the decor, but then I realized that might be nice/helpful for those who are vision impaired. I really love your attention to detail and thoroughness; your attention is solely on the food, which is why we're watching. I also like the fact that you add your commentary to the video after the fact, so everything you say is nice and clear; no descriptions that are partially garbled because you're still chewing. (Talking with food in one's mouth and seeing someone's open mouth while chewing are 2 of my pet peeves.) After watching a couple of your videos, I went back to a reviewer I've watched before, but I had to fast forward through his first sip of coffee, his description of the different shaped plates as he picked one up (who cares if they have round and square??), and then each bite of food he ate before reviewing it (he doesn't edit much of that out, for some reason.) All that to say I think you may have spoiled the other reviewers' vlogs for me, and I'm not mad about it. 🙂 So, great job! And thank you.
@kareninalabama Good seeing you again, and thank *YOU* for the ringing endorsement! It helps encourage us to continue creating informative & unbiased content that resonates with folks like yourself. Although I might confess we’ve been considering describing table and place settings, etc. There may be a way we can do this while trying not to detract too much from the main point of the content, which is the food & the overall experience. But your feedback is duly noted. Thanks for watching!
I'm a Vegas local, as well. To me most buffets are pretty much the same. The best are on the Strip...if you want to take out a mortgage to eat at some of them. Anyway....this is the best narration I've heard in some time. Well done.
Thank you for the compliment! Your comment about taking out a mortgage got a reluctant chuckle out of us since it’s so true. Hope you’re keeping cool in this heat!
wow what a pleasant delight to watch and to listen to your videos. i watch a lot of food videos and your comments are so refreshing and appreciated. depth and insight are outstanding. thank you and now fully belled and subscribed.
The RUclips algorithm threw your channel at me tonight. I decided to watch it. I love how you reviewed this restaurant by going over every item that was in the buffet. Give's you a good outlook on what to expect if you decide to go to this restaurant. Very good extensive review of the food . I love your style of reviewing a restaurant and decided to subscribe. Overtime I watch all your other videos. Nice to know that this restaurant is outside the Vegas strip. Looking forward to your future videos. 👍
I’m really touched by not only the time you took to stick with the video, but to also leave a thorough and extensive comment! Your feedback means a lot to me. I know the channel looks bare and thin for now, but we have many more projects in the pipeline. Stay tuned, and thanks for watching!
@@CarolAnnePeskin The buffet is specifically 15 minutes from the Vegas Strip if there's no congestion. Regarding Summerlin the area itself can be anywhere from 15-25 minutes or so away from the Strip. Thank you for stopping by!
Thank you for your time and posting. Haven't seen Catalina Dressing for a while. I pay $13 for the buffet at Sizzler, for twenty bucks I get prime rib and ribs, plus. :) Subscribed. Nicely well laid out video with no fill. Excellent. And I don't have to look at you eating and drooling. So, another excellent.
Even we are a bit dismayed by the idea of watching ourselves eat. Speaking of Sizzler, I grew up on it and remember it fondly. It’s a shame that the locations near me have shut down for good. Thank you for watching, and especially subscribing!
Rare steak is going to be the softest and easiest to chew the more it cooks the tougher it’s going to get so if it’s already chewy and tough at rare it’s a tough piece of meat. A good prime rib is always cooked rare, and it should melt in your mouth.
Prime rib is a fancy us term for roast beef. Its nothing earth shattering. Cruise ships have this two meals a day in their buffet and its all you can eat. And pork, lamb etc. i dont get the attraction of a dingy casino to eat basic food. Its not cheap after taxes tips and drinks.
Unfortunately, Vegas buffets don't really get too much cheaper than at this price point. The days of commonplace $10 AYCE buffets in Vegas are mostly gone. Regarding prime rib vs. roast beef, I'll defer to sources like this that could help break it down: virginiaboyskitchens.com/blogs/features/best-beef-cuts-for-roasting Thanks for watching!

Very comprehensive review of all the buffet offerings. Nice job ! The Rampart and South Point buffets are reasonably priced compared to strip buffets.
The Rampart Buffet is definitely a great value. Thanks for watching!
I am staying on the strip in the Fall. May make a visit to this buffet? Hmmm
The buffet should always offer to sear the slice if prime rib for you. I am in full support of a back to basics buffet style
Sounds like a great idea honestly. Thanks for stopping by!
Spumone gelato!!! Omg
Yeah that was surprising to see! Thanks for stopping by.
Great job !!

Great value
Indeed it is!
@franklyvegas it's $33 now but still solid. Aloha night is my favorite. Lunch I'd skip even though it's only $23. No premium meat or seafood
@@VivaLasVegasX We really need to stop by during Aloha Night. Thanks for the tip for lunch, although for $23, that's quite cheap nowadays!
@franklyvegas no prime rib or shrimp during lunch. Pretty much had all the other sides though. I think I posted a walk through video.
This buffet looks excellent wow
It’s not half bad. Thanks for watching!
I would eat everything except the breads, salmon and sweets. Rest looked tasty.
Indeed it is. We wouldn’t mind trying more of the sweets next time. Thanks for stopping by!
That was not a prime rib roast. It was a baron of beef. Probably a top or bottom round roast. A less expensive cut of meat.
That might be the case. We’re simply going off of how the buffet labeled it. It was rather tender. Thank for watching!
You have a wonderful knack for this! New subscriber! Keep it up great work!

What's your favorite buffet in Vegas?
Sorry to say this. If this is considered the best buffet in Vegas, I don't have high hope for vegas buffet overall. Still good video neverless
Thanks for the compliment! It actually only got silver place for the “best buffet” award. So not Vegas’s best 😂
The prime rib slice didn’t look that attractive to me. It might have been the way he sliced it. Too thin.
Definitely on the thin side. Thanks for stopping by!

Prime rib is NOT just roast beef. It is the best cut of beef not in any way like Chuck or any other roast cut.
