This is the first video from you I've seen. I love your narration. As a longtime Vegas veteran, I've been to all these restaurants except your #1, John Cutters. That's where I'll be next trip. I agree whole heartedly on the others as great bargains. Great video, subscribed.
Thank you so much! Funny, I had not been to Cutter's before this video either. And, since then, I've now been three more times. Their steaks (and food in general) are fantastic. I may go again this weekend, 😁😋😋. Thanks for watching, commenting, and subscribing!!
Great recos!! And informative vids too, much appreciated! Next trip to Vegas, as staying on the south part of the Strip, will do the Southpoint/Coronado too, for prime rib. Great overview. So your last 2 places, are now recorded, to eat at, as well as definitely the Brazilian Guacho restaurant as well, definitely THAT one! Yummm!! Thx for the vid overviews.👍🤙
Thanks again! Well, do keep John Cutters/Rustic House in mind. Their steaks are very good. Also, while at Southpoint, in case you missed our video on it (I just noticed it isn't on our Prime Rib and Steak playlist and added it now), make sure to get the Prime Rib at their Garden Buffet. There isn't much else at that buffet but just for the prime rib it's well worth the price of admission: ruclips.net/video/-GUw5hHPsWk/видео.html
A few years ago I had been playing slots at Circus Circus and had racked up quite a lot in food comps. I went to the Steak House at Circus Circus and was quite impressed at the quality of the food and service. Not a bargain price wise, but really good quality.
Well, that's not the first time I've heard this. The first day I was in Vegas looking for a place to live the broker recommended the Circus Circus steak house. I'll have to check it out despite the fact that the rest of the place is pretty depressing, lol. Thanks for the info!!
I'm partial to Jackson's and Village Pub. With Jackson's I opt for the steak and eggs, as you get the same size steak and fixins, but you also get the eggs as well. Great deal. I prefer the Village Pub locales in various parts of the city vs the one at Ellis Island. Their 8 oz steak and eggs deal is $9.99 24 hours and you don't need to show a player's card.
Me too & this guy thinks that $20. is a 'cheap' deal! In 1999, I stayed at the "Klondike" & they included breakfast & dinner, plus one drink a day, in their room price, for $29,99! What's going on in Vegas?
Rainbow Casino out in Henderson has a great 1lb porterhouse special for $18.99. Before covid (so late 2019) it was $13.99. Soup or salad, and two sides included.
Vegas has changed so much in last 20 years. Used to be that they used cheap Hotels and food as an enticement to get you to come and gamble. Not anymore. Vegas has gotten expensive
Yeah, in the 2000's you could get a hotel for $29.95 per night, free parking, free breakfast included plus a free drink once per day. You could eat well for under $10 too.
Missing is NYNY America's $22 16-oz ribeye dinner after 5PM (no longer- and The Palms Serrano Vista Cafe's $20 16-oz T-bone and potato various days and times).
Half way through this video and I have to pause and make something to eat !! OK, threw together some leftover smoked brisket and fresh mac and cheese, yum. Great video, I love hearing about local bargains in Vegas, forget the overpriced steakhouses on the strip. Thanks for this...
lol, I hear you. We had plans to go to a Chinese restaurant Sunday but after finishing up this video today we're now going back to Cutter's! Thanks for watching!
You're very welcome! Yes, Cutter's is great. We've been there MANY times since our review and it's been fantastic every time. Thanks for watching and commenting, 🥩😋😁
Coronado definitely has good food, and you can't go wrong there, but those fantastic John Cutter steaks for under $25...pretty hard to beat. Anyway, thanks for watching and commenting, 😁😁
For a cheap good steak dinner i really like Ocean One bar and grille along with the 3 for $12 cocktails. Also i did enjoy this video. You did a great job!
Yes! We've been there several times and liked many of the dishes we had, but have been avoiding them ever since they started charging for parking. With that thrown into the mix it becomes not such a cheap deal, 😔. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Another excellent video! Well steak is a hard one to evaluate as it depends on the cut, grade, cooking method and personal preferences. My husband I dub a Barbequologist because he is a master of steak (well any meat) with his 4 different BBQ he uses for different meat and style of cooking… so when we go to Vegas we pass on the steak generally….Keep doing what you are doing and keeping it real!!!!
Yes, very true. I usually only have steak at home for all the reasons you mention. But, we're heading out today on a 'day off' from reviewing and going to John Cutter. 50% off and a fantastic steak, Caesar salad, and fries...I'm there! Thanks for watching!
We enjoy your comprehensive reviews. We've had the Ellis Island steak & eggs special for $9.99 on a few occasions and didn't notice an issue with the service. On another note, we're arriving in Vegas on the morning of Sunday, May 5th, Cinco de Mayo. Could you recommend a place on the strip to enjoy great Mexican food and drinks, somewhere fun not necessarily high en?.
Wish I were a fan of the steak & eggs combo as that's a great deal. As for recommendations...I would say El Segundo. It's on the strip (right across the street from The Wynn) and is attached to the fashion show mall. It's on the end of the mall right on the strip and has outdoor seating which is covered, lots of greenery, and misters if necessary. They have very good Mexican food and drink. I'll let you know if I think of any other recommendations.
I live under 5 minutes from these two places and have thought about them, but we have so many other places already queued up so if we get to these places it won't be for quite a while. Thanks for the info!
I've had the Coronado Cafe and Ellis Island steaks. Both are very good. Those KC Strips look really good too. I don't care for places that put lots of seasoning on steaks. I order mine with no seasoning at all and just use a little salt at the table.
Thank God you give a n honest review!!! Hollywood Las Vegas for 18 years I watched a half a dozen vloggers and more than half of them must be getting paid cuz they always loved everything even though it's expensive and and yucky thank you for being honest

I was coking those steaks at the castaways back then 3.95 Porterhouse or prime rib about an inch thick, baked pot, rolls and choice of soup or salad. That's when Vegas was a truly fun unique town.
Hmmmm. John Cutter sounded great till you said a salad and fries where $7 each. $24 for a Rib Eye. $38 Total. Makes the others a real good price. The deal at South Point seemed real good with all the fixings and sides for $20.
Sure, if you are looking for quantity, either the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th places on our list would be good. If you are looking for a great price on superior quality, it's definitely Cutter's. Enjoy!!
Ellis Island Village Pub & Cafe restaurant is separated from the bar where smoking is allowed. Coronado Cafe inside Southpoint is also smoke free, but you have to walk through the smokey casino to get there.
Hmmm, interesting. When we did the Ping Pang Pong review we took a look at Cornerstone but haven't had a chance to go there yet. Thanks for the info and for watching our channel, 😁😁
TheLonghorn used to be my go to place pre covid, once they reopened, the quality of the meats went way down while the prices went way up, as you mention, they for some reason think that a steak needs to have the cross pattern burnt into it, they do the same with the burgers. Hi! Good question. We noticed they offer the 50% all the time, so, not really a deal. But, we'll probably be mentioning them in some future reviews. Thanks for commenting!
I got the ribs a EI about 10 years ago. It was about an hour before the end of the deal and everything was brought to the table in about 10 minutes. The ribs were old and reheated but actually not bad. Even though they lost a lot of weight from laying in a heat lamp, I'd buy them again. The corn cob was gross. Beans were ok. The "craft" beer was trash. IPA = LOL. Like trader joes IPA that they have been selling since the 90's. The casino is a mystery. Why is it still there? It is beyond worn out. Straight up ghetto.
Funny what you say about EI...the ribs weren't old. It's the way they prepare them...they are boiled, not smoked. Then they are thrown on the grill afterwards with bbq sauce. I'm not a fan of this approach. They can taste alright but don't really satisfy the BBQ itch. In general, if you go to a BBQ place and don't smell the smoker...RUN! lol. As for the corn, yep, I believe it's gross due to being frozen...cut into pieces a tossed in a bag, then frozen...yuk. As for the casino, yes, pretty run down. I believe there is a major project going on there right now to renovate/expand the place. Let's hope so, lol. Anyway, thanks for watching and commenting!!

What interesting, I've been to Jackson, had a damn good steak. Their one star reviews are low. I'll stick with Jackson's. I'll be waiting for your next review.
@trojan2024 I agree. Plus, the menu is ala carte, so the total paid for the steak, potato, veggie, and salad make it a significantly more expensive meal than the other four.
I live in Henderson so don’t get out to Summerlin often. But will have to try John Cutter some Sunday. I will however have to disagree with you on Coronado Cafe once again 😂. In my opinion the ribeye at Jackson Grill is far superior to the porterhouse at CC. Thanks for another great video !
Maybe we got them on a good day? I wasn't expecting their porterhouse to be as good but it was. Thanks for watching! Oh, and don't forget John Cutter, under the name Rustic House, has two locations which may be closer to you!

HA! Yes, we did take an uber once when we did our Bacchanal review...not only do you need to factor in the cost of that but the frustration of walking around to the back of the property (a 15 minute walk) and hunting all over the place finally to find the crappy little place they allow the uber guys to park, 😠😠

As a former restaurant owner I agree with you completely. I like to read them but put no stock in them when deciding if I should go to a restaurant.
"far from the worst" is NEVER a ringing endorsement is it?
😁 It ranks right up there with "it's not terrible" and "I didn't hate it", lol.
The Longhorn is a dump I know i stayed there. The elevator actually knocked me down. Get breakfast there.
Wow, sorry to hear that. Fortunately I was just there for the food and not the elevator ride!
Apples and oranges. Cannot compare Cutters to the others because the price is only available one day.
ok, but it would be pretty limiting if every deal had to have the exact same time frame for which it's offered. Either way, thanks for watching!
@trojan2024 I agree. Plus, the menu is ala carte, so the total paid for the steak, potato, veggie, and salad make it a significantly more expensive meal than the other four.
No offense meant..but everything on that first "Appetizer Platter" was FRIED you eat all that you gonna need a By-Pass!
Oh, no offense taken. It's the risk we're willing to take to bring you good reviews, lol. Thanks for watching and commenting!
The stake hoùse the best
Agreed! Love that place.
You ate that one steak almost raw
😋😋Love it that way. I had ordered it rare and they delivered, 😁😁. Thanks for watching and commenting!
You can eat cheap in Las Vegas.
Yes, you definitely can. Check out our latest video showing 5 great bargains: ruclips.net/video/Ju12pqrBHPI/видео.html
You need great choppers to chew thru all the fat.
No, the fat was delicious and no difficulty. I ate every bit of it, 😋😋
Your channel really cuts the mustard.
Thank you! Being part German that means a lot, 😁💖.!!
You Should Try-GOLDEN STEER STEAKHOUSE!-In Las Vegas!-It's Great!-Raymond "Mike" Hong!&(I Have-A Clamshell Cutlery Sets-MADE IN USA!-Like@GOLDEN STEER!-Mike!)😎👍!!!!!!!!!
I drive by Golden Steer every day. It's on our list but probably not in the near future.
Golden Steer is anything but bargain, though.
Dopes eat chicken wings with ranch
Thanks for watching and commenting. We dope's channel grows with every comment.
Bargain and steak should not be used in the same sentence
Ummm, you just did! 😁
Seeing those prices on Circus Circus and seeing a Buffett was 2.50 at lunch and 3.50 at dinner, and that being DURING MY LIFETIME…..is why you need to vote RED.
LOL! Thank you so much for watching and commenting, 😁😁
Dude, don't make poor recommendations, pls. It's a waste of time. You lose potential subs right away.
Care to be more specific?
You sound like a guy with a cooking channel...
Thank you! Cooking channel, no. Chef and former restaurant owner, yes!
GOOD JOB! Some of these CASINOS are a real DUMP! So you need to factor in a RIDE SHARE which adds up and makes it not worth it!
HA! Yes, we did take an uber once when we did our Bacchanal review...not only do you need to factor in the cost of that but the frustration of walking around to the back of the property (a 15 minute walk) and hunting all over the place finally to find the crappy little place they allow the uber guys to park, 😠😠
