- I did’t know I can enjoy Spicy Chicken Stew in this beautiful mountain !
Osaek Village in Mount Sorak(Seoraksan) is well known for it’s carbonated hot spring!
We enjoyed too! But the journey, from bus station, road of mountain, food everything was remarkable!
If you go to Korea, This is something You need to do.
The restaurant I went to is

58-120 Daecheongbong-gil, Seo-myeon
Osaek Village is small village and you will find group of restaurants sharing similar menu
Because they use locally grown veggies and meat.
Even if it's not necessarily chicken stew, I recommend chicken stew as it's a popular menu item here. But you have to order chicken dishes 30 minutes in advance.
It might be a good idea to make a reservation in advance and look around.
The wind was so strong that we just sat in the restaurant and waited.
Oh, you must try that acorn jelly! The bitter taste that goes well with the soy sauce makes it a must-try mountain food.

Another fun and informative video. We lived in Alpensia area,about an hour or so south of 서락산 for a year and a half but regretfully didn’t explore areas like this so much.
