The best part, aside from fewer dishes, is the fact that the starch stays in the dish instead of the pasta water. The sauce will cling to the pasta better when cooked like this.
Yes! I failed to mention this. It really does taste better. 👍
Makes sense!
Excellent point! ❤
And more flavor is absorbed into the actual pasta as well! 🙌🏾
So right! ✌🏼💜
Being a new stay at home dad, I needed this more than you know 😊 thank you
Pinterest is a good place to find one pot meals as well. I found one similar to this. It was made with tomatoes, onions, spinach, mushrooms, and chicken broth. There were a couple more ingredients as well but those are what I remember. It was so delicious. Just remember that you're the star of your kitchen. Add and subtract to your preference. My go to is to follow a recipe the way it's written one time and then do what I want after that 😂 baking though you need to be pretty precise
I am not sure why I'm watching this. I know how to make spaghetti several different ways. This is just so soothing to watch after a long day's work. Thank you.
Thanks for watching! 😊🙌
I have never heard of so many bitter and miserable people criticizing and tell someone how they should cook their food. If any of you had an ounce of intelligence you'd know people cook the way the like to cook. She shares her recipes with us and any of you who don't like it cook your own way and don't watch.
Now I’m craving a big bowl of spaghetti 🍝
I have never seen cornbread eaten with spaghetti
It’s delicious with spaghetti! Cornbread is also delicious with chili or vegetable beef stew. 😋🤤
I'm guessing your not from the south.
We eat cornbread with stir-fry lol
@@jay1hi547I'm from the south and I haven't
Like my Daddy always said, “There’s more than one way to skin a cat” and this looks delicious!! ♥️
I saw a recipe like this pasta cooked in the sauce. I said I'd like to try it in the comments. Every Italian in Italy had written back to me that it was sacrilegious and I was wrong to even think of cooking pasta this way. 😄🤣😄
I’m Italian but I even broke the macaroni, but just bc I’m lazy and only wanted to use one pot….if my father was still alive, he’d be shocked (and sometimes he told me a good Italian doesn’t eat meat sauce mixed in with pasta” I didn’t listen… sometimes you just gotta make “fast gravy” is what I call it, but at the end of the day, it’s good, comforting and we are all fortunate to be able to cook & eat. ❤
Yeah I see comments on this, but it's worth a try. I like it and so does my family. 😊
I'm going to try it, I was shocked how every Italian had to speak up. This Italian is all in for faster meals. 😄🤣♥
I just did this last night! But...I sautéed onion and celery, added burger, cooked then added a big can of crushed tomato instead of the store-bought stuff. That way I control the seasonings and salt content. Still turns out yummy!
Eating a bowl right now of your shells, beef, and cheese…it is DELISH! Saturday I’ll be doing this spaghetti recipe. Thank you!!
Angelica, my fellow Texan thank you so much for sharing! Looks delish and it def inspired me to try it. Cornbread and spaghetti was unknown & unheard of to me 15 minutes ago lol but I am always open to trying new things out. That's why I enjoy watching your vids, you inspire me! After watching this one, I made the mistake of reading others comments. I get we're all allowed to our own opinions, but Jeez! There's a difference between sharing an opposing opinion and just being snotty and downright rude. I get that if the combination is new to someone, it may seem odd but it doesn't mean it's wrong or even gross. I try to stay open minded, you never know when your going to discover a new fave. Anyway, keep up the great work and I look forward to next vid.
I've never had green beans with my spaghetti but it beats making a salad....cornbread is good with ANYTHING!!!❤
Cornbread goes with anything! Looks delicious!
Omg!!! Lady I cook this spaghetti today after watching this video...girl it was easy delicious and one pot no mess. Only I cook it on my electric pan... Easy. Thank you
My Italian mother in-law will have a fit watching this😳
Never thought about serving cornbread with spaghetti before but I’ll have to try it. 😊
I grew up eating spaghetti this way. I know a lot of people who do this, it’s so good 😊 A southern thing. It’s an ole school thing! Why all the hate? I was a 70’s kid. We ate what we had, and made good food, I still eat it today and my Boys do too! Thank You Mama for reviving an ole school style dinner. I’m Hungry 🤤
2024 Living in New Zealand 🇳🇿 USA 🇺🇸 very much appreciated handy bolognase. Your spaghetti method
is brilliant. Corn bread looked delishymo. It is indeed the quickest Italian meal method yet. Thank you for the look in 😊
WOW! This meal looks amazing! Anyone eating this meal is so blessed!
I never thought of having corn bread with spaghetti but it looks delicious!
Or green bean. Nope for me...!!!...🦋
Same!
Cornbread goes with everything, but I'm from the south 😍
when I make these "one pan" meals, I use a really large pan with a lid and any time I put the pasta with the water in, I cover and let it simmer for about 7-12 minutes and it turns out great each time.
Corn bread looks amazing ❤
This is one of your best videos, I’m older don’t want to say but yes cooking for a family no reason to dirty up more dishes 😊
Wow all the flavor just cooked into the pasta.. I'm drooling
Spaghetti looked delicious❤❤❤
That looks so good. The corn bread is just so pretty. What a beautiful and colorful dinner. 😋😋
Love watching you cook, you are so down to earth cooking and keeping it easy and simply simple..
Your whole meal looks fabulous.❤ I use this spaghetti process often and it is guaranteed quick and delicious. Key is as you said... Simmer! No boil.
Forget the hating comments!!! I would love to try a one pan spaghetti dish!
Happy late mother's Day hope you had a wonderful day
Thank you. 🥰
That's the old school way of cooking spaghetti and I would sit with you and eat that meal , it looks so good :))
My mom made her spaghetti this way and I've always cooked it this way as well. Now my daughters carry on the tradition. So glad there are others that make it this way too! I love it this way because the spaghetti noodles absorb the flavor of the sauce. My father in-law, who hated spaghetti, loved mine. I miss him dearly.
Easy Easy!!! Thank you!!! I Always Appreciate you taking the time to list the recipes in the description!!! God Bless Us All!!!
Cornbread and spaghetti and meat sauce sauce is food heaven 101😊
Hello there! I just wanted to let you know that I made this spaghetti today ♥️ it was seriously easy and delicious 😋 Thank you!
Never thought of having Cornbread with Spaghetti 🍝! Might try it!👍
Looks really Yummy!! I Love both Spaghetti, & Corn bread!! 😍💜💜
I love a good saucy spaghetti! I think I will make mine like this all the time!
😮 as a wife of an Italian husband, this recipe would earn me a divorce. 😂 or at least a separation. But to each his own. I love your recipes and have made many of them. And I love Jonny cake ( sweet corn bread ) so I will be trying that maybe even with my sketties.
Lol!!!! Would not go over well in my whole family !!!!
I’m drooling…😁
Looks yummy, if you let the skillet get hot in the oven while it preheats, you will get a nice crispy crust on your cornbread.
It's 1 am and I'm watching this, made me crazy hungry 😂😂
Aside from the recipe: I like your way of demonstrating, and you have a pleasant voice. Nice tempo too, not too slow!
I tried this before and the pasta has so much flavor from cooking in the sauce.
Nice international meal pulled together by a busy mother
I keep my used jars for drinking beverages. It’s the best way to drink.
I use my. Jars for leftovers
Disgusting and cheap go buy some real drinking glasses
Quick and easy! I'm here for it!😊
I just love your cooking videos! You never cease to amaze me. Food looks scrumptious 😋 ❤😋❤️👍🏽👍🏽🔥🔥
I love my cornbread sweet too.......Spaghetti dinner looks delicious!
My grandmother cooked spaghetti like this for us when we were growing up with cornbread. Thank you for sharing!
wow, i would've thought you added too much water. but if you simmer long enough it will thicken. looks amazing
OMG! That spaghettti looked amazing! It looks like it came out of a restaurant! I'd pay for it.
As a bachelor this is great!!! Thank you.
You are one of the best cooks❤. I love all your recipes even if I don’t make it I love watching YOU make it lol
Pls don’t stop ❤
Angelica: Thank you so much for this recipe. Made it tonight and it was perfect. Sunday night, quick, easy and tasty!
I'm absolutely going to make this. I use Mueller's Pot-Sized Spaghetti, which is already broken in half. I'm so clever.👍⬆😎
Spaghetti tastes so much better if it sits in the fridge overnight. So much more flavor in the noodles! 😊
I have never seen cornbread as a side dish to spaghetti. Always a first
Hmmmm......right.
I've had cornbread with spaghetti and loved it.
@@stormy8092 Thanks for your court testimony last week.
This is a new method to me , very interesting. As always looks yummy 😋 your family is blessed to have such a wonderful cook to make these lovely meals for them! Thank you for sharing your recipes with all of us 👍
This looks simply delish and easy. I cannot wait to try. My mouth is watering 😋
I made this last night for my daughter’s birthday and it was really good. The noodles soaked up the flavor of the sauce and meat - amazing. I tweaked the spices to my family’s preference but still used everything she did. I also doubled the recipe and did more of a slow cooked version of it so the flavors infused with the noodles longer. It was perfect.
Looks extremely delicious
I admire the different take on traditional spagetti. My recommendation is to use either a large deep sauce pan or a much larger fry pan than you are using here.
Delicious! I've been making my spaghetti this way for about a year now, and my family loves it. :)
Looks delicious. I can’t wait to try it like that
Hi A!!! I liked your quick recipe. I have never used Marinara Sauce or cooked my noodles like that. It would save alot of time with the noodles!!! I dont know about eating green beans with spaghetti!!!... YUMS!!!...Nice Video!!!...🦋
First Thank you for your version. I did try it and it did make my sauce too starchy for me and my family. I did find uf you cook pasta halfway (if your pasta say cook for 8 min cook for 5min in separate) and then finish the next 3 min in the sauce for me was good. Pasta absorbed the flavor from the sauce but left the sauce still with a clean taste
My mom used to make her spaghetti like this when I was growing up. Looks delicious!
Ciao, my father was originated from puglia in southern italy, and there is a one Pot Pasta recipe, which is famous Worldwide: Spaghetti all' assassina from Bari, so have a look for it.. many greetings from brunswick in germany and please stay safe 🙃
In all my years of making spaghetti, I have never thought to make it this way with adding the water into the sauce and then the pasta and cooking it all together. I have always cooked them separately and dirtied two pans. There have been times I have passed on making spaghetti because I didn't have a second pan available at that moment. This is genius! I am definitely going to try this method. Thank you so much for sharing!
Looks so delicious, thank you for sharing. I cook my pasta in the sauce too.
Once again, a different twist on a meal. Keeps it interesting and also making it simple. Thank you!
Looks delicious, going to have to try this, it's very convenient.
I had planned on spaghetti tomorrow and will DEF try this!! Thanks so much for sharing.
That looks delicious.
Half ground beef and half Italian sweet sausage
Looks delicious!!
Italians everywhere are getting anxiety attacks watching this!
Looks very delicious!!
Thank you 🎉 Great video
OMG WAS THAT QUICK AND EASY OR WHAT? RIGHT ON. YUMMY. 😮❤
Who eats cornbread with spaghetti? I have never heard that before.😂
I was thinking the same thing. Plus all that water made the beef bland.
I was thinking the same thing.
Your momma does.
@@chacaloso361 your mother does sailors down by the dock
I do. Wow
Im trying it tomorrow for dinner!! Excited
Everything looks delicious !
Corn bread looks yummy
Too much sugar. Bad for your health
I love it and I will be cooking it. I especially like the part of no extra pot to cook the pasta.👍👍
I will definitely give this a try! I love your channel and how you cook for your family. Love your cookbook too! Thank you for sharing!
That cornbread looks so fluffy and perfect!
Thanks for sharing this delicious looking meal. Never thought of having cornbread with spaghetti. I essentially do the same thing but in the instant pot. Cooking the spaghettini with the meat & sauce gives it so much flavor. I’ll never go back to boiling the pasta in water again.
God is mighty to save.
I make my spaghetti the same way. Yours looks really good! Loving your cornbread and A + for the green beans. Can I come over for dinner?
Great recipe! The 🌹
Im going to give this a try! Sounds and looks great!
I enjoyed your version. Looks fairly easy. I will definitely try it.🥰
I am going to try this tonight! Thanks for sharing this.....brilliant! Also, about pots.....i always strain my pasta in a colander and then that makes 3 large vessels to clean!
Beautiful dinner Angelica!❤
i like how you always give tips for variations and that you always mention to adjust to personal taste. so lovely, it makes recipes feel more accessible/doable for me! thank you!
One pot spaghetti! Wow this is my kind of meal.
I’ve cooked one pot raw pasta in the oven before, but not on the stovetop.
Thanks!
Spaghetti and corn bread go together like pizza and cottage cheese
Hey google! Add big skillet to my shopping list
It takes me hours and hours to make my sauce but I make a huge pot and freeze it in baggies that way I never have to make it your way. I use 9 lbs of 3 different kind of meat and about 10 spices and 3 lbs of mushrooms. But I get 10 to 12 baggies so that last several months. I take pride in my cooking. And it saves time in the end. The cornbread looked good.
