Our first stop was Najd Village restaurant, a true gem nestled in the heart of Riyadh. Known for its authentic Arabic cuisine, Najd Village offers a captivating array of dishes that showcase the rich tapestry of flavors and traditions of the region. From succulent kebabs to aromatic biryanis, each dish is meticulously crafted to evoke the essence of Arabian gastronomy.
One standout item on the menu is the Village Sofra, a delightful combination of traditional dishes. Let me introduce you to some of the highlights:
- Lamb stew Mix Kabsah: A tantalizing blend of chicken, lamb, Hashi, White & Red Rice.
- Vegetable and cheese samosa.
- Fresh Green Salad with cucumber, tomatoes, and carrots.
- Spicy Pepper Salad featuring tomatoes, green peppers, and minced garlic.
- Yogurt Salad with cucumber and mint.
- Goursan: A hearty stew of lamb chunks and vegetables served with goursan bread.
- Jareesh: Crushed whole wheat cooked in milk, garnished with onion and lime.
- Margoog: A comforting lamb and vegetable stew cooked with thin brown sheets of dough.
- Najd Temman: Rice cooked with chicken, garnished with mixed vegetables.
- Hamees: Seasoned lamb strips sautéed with onions.
- Mogalgal: Tender boneless lamb cubes cooked in tomato sauce with green peppers and onions, enjoyed with bread, often served at breakfast.
