@@bridgetmcintyre5735 Anxiety is for the weak. Anxiety is for people who try and worry to much. Just don't worry unless you've been "diagnosed with anxiety" which a lot of people aren't then don't worry. Many people think that they have "anxiety" but it can be depression which comes with a lack of sleep, lack of knowledge on the subject, etc. I only raise my hand when 1) I want to make a point 2) not understand something 3) when I think I know the answer
4) when the class is just full out chicken, and no one wants to ask a question that they don't know in "fear of embarrasment" oh well there goes 3 minutes of a life ill never have again. Honestly school has no point, we'll it does, but we should make a virtual school, where we can only pass onto a new grade, until we have at least 90% in every subject.

It's not just you, don't beat yourself up about it. some people are naturally good at school or they simply spend their whole life revising at home. don't waste your youth studying all the time. obviously you have to try your best and study but not the whole weekend. everyone is good at something, I never thought I had a natural talent because I am one of the weakest in school but I found out it's just that my natural talent isn't something in school. it took a while but I now know my natural talent is makeup and fashion, I'm also good with children. you will have something your naturally talented in, go and find it. if you don't pass a test in school it's not the end of your life. if your looking to get into the type of college/university Einstein went to then maybe it is important but if you're just looking for a nice school and a job you love don't worry. i wish you luck in the rest of your life :)

Homework takes way more than an hour to do😂
My homework takes 1 hour and I'm in high school. When I study I study for3- 6 hours te day before usually unless it's something like biology with lots of memorization I'll have like a total of 11 hours of study time and I study no more than 3 days before
yeah mine takes in between 2 hours (rare but oh well) and 8 hours (bc English takes forever!!)

I have severe OCD and one of the thing it effects is how picky I am about my grades. If my grade is below a 95 it will instantly trigger an anxiety attack. So I really have no choice but to get straight A's.

Other tips:
Take notes! This was very simple (but took time.) I went from an F, yes, an F; to an A in my science class!
She already said to take notes, but another tip is to highlight or use pens.
Don’t use the weekends unless you absolutely need to. It sucks when you want to do something with your friends on the weekend, but no! You have to do homework. Procrastinators, hear me out. Reese said that relaxing is key, and I definitely agree!
You need small goals, not large ones. If you have a C, don’t expect an A+ out of thin air. Try getting from a C to a C+, a C+ to a B, and so on,
Participate. If you get on a teacher’s ‘good side,’ they’ll be more open to tell you the extra credit lessons, or just be kinder overall.

these were the exact same steps i took to go from a 3.0 gpa to a 3.7 gpa in 4 months.
this will help you if and only if you make it into a daily habit. you have to be consistent. also have a goal or two WRITTEN down and make it your goal to achieves those goals.

Every course is super easy for me, except math. No matter what I do. I have almost a 100% on my overall math homework grade, but my test scores are always mid to low B's.
math is the easiest to improve, i also had the same situation as you did in my past school years. practice, practice, practice, i'm sure that will help you ace those paper. :)
i mean it really just depends on how strict yo teacher is. I got 7 A's but i got a B+ in Science bc my science teacher is so strict, plus i try my best and give it my all in all of my classes. Like give me a break SCIENCE TEACHER.

I feel like I needed a friend or a sister to talk to me about this so in order to prepare me for the college life. Okay so I'm a freshman in high school, and I totally just screwed up first semester and got 4 Bs and only 2 As. I know for a good amount of people those grades are good, but I know that I did not try my best and I was just being hella lazy and did not work hard. I'm just really freaked out that my mistakes are going to affect me in getting into college. Does anyone know what I should do in my case? I don't know what to think or do!! XD
Best thing you can do is to relax and do your very best . I'm a freshmen in college and didn't do well my freshmen year in high school at but I still got into my dream school. So don't worry just do your best in school while you can. Some people would wish they can go back to those years in high school
So make the best out of it 4 B's and 2 A's isn't as bad as you think just actually try. When you get school work do it as soon as possible maybe at lunch or between classes and after classes take 10-20 minutes just to test yourself on what you actually learned . It helps 😊

@@fairyfrida omg i forgot i commented on this... you just took me back YEARS! ive changed so much since this... in fact my grades got wayyyy worse throughout high school lol but that was because of a bunch of mental health issues and chronic migraines. i can't believe i was worried about this back then. rn im at a sophomore at good 4-year university, not the most "prestigious" or whatever, but one that's good for me and im loving it so far. im getting an amazing education! my mindset has changed a lot. im happy:) currently preparing to apply to study abroad at the London School of Economics in my junior year!! also when i wrote this i wanted to be a doctor lmao just bc that's what everyone told me. im typing hella but yea, thank u for replying-made me think a lot about all the shit ive been through and how much ive grown in just the past few years. hope you're doing well too

American school sounds so awesome. 😭 Meanwhile I get to wake up at 5am to go to school only to get home at 5pm without any lunch and just a snack (no breakfast either unless I want to wake up at 4 or 4:30am). I then eat and exercise and it is 6pm. I do homework until 8pm, eat in 10 minutes and go back to doing homework until 11pm-1am. And it is literally illegal to have "days off" (except for a month in june and 2 months at the end of the year) because it doesn't snow or anything. Some people with this same schedule get straight As. You have no excuse!

I get even more stressed because my mom expects me to get the honor roll . Or else she will be disappointed and also I heard that people get things for good grades, not me I don't get praised I just get "good you should get straight A's" and if I get B's or less my mom gets mad. It's not lmao. Every school and class is different, you can't just assume a whole country does the same thing. It's a lot harder to get good grades if you take honor or AP classes, or even a normal class with a strict teacher/difficult lesson.
