I am a 73 years old, I have been a Bob Dylan fan since 1964. It is fantastic to see a young lady performing his songs. I am in awe. You have a new subscriber .
Ahaaaa..Great to find another 'old fan' from the 60's. I'm 74 and still love Bob Dylans old stuff. I agree this version by Julianne is very good. Sung with good phrasing, tempo and feeling. Thanks Julianne
I, too, am 73. There is much here on which one can comment, but her vocal interpretation makes it simply stunning. Possibly the best version (not just cover) I have heard of the song. Thank you.
I re-fell in love with this song this week. I’ve been playing it quite a bit today and listening to covers. There are only a few that actually capture the spirit of this ballad. You are one of the very few. Thank you!
When you're mind wonders off into the songs story and it's feeling then you know the artist has achieved all..gentle and sweet singing voice...well done.
Mr. Cash messing up is what makes the duet so beautiful. It’s that Dylan picks up beautifully on the mistake!!! Love this cover!!! Great job!!! God Bless You!!!
I agree! I posted this video because I believe Julianne is an amazing talent. I hope she one day will make her own channel and post videos of more of her covers. Thank you for the feedback. I will share your comments with Julianne.

@@Johnnymac638 I would take her voice over Joan Baez's voice any day. To be honest, I didn't expect anything special when I clicked on this video... and then she opened her mouth. WOW! Really good!!!
@@patrickmorgan4006 Thank you for the encouragement Patrick. That's high praise indeed. I will let Julianne know of your comments. Julianne is even a better person than singer. I'm just trying to pass on her music so others get to hear what I have heard.
Love this cover! She plays it without finger picking and differently than all the youtube tutorials on Girl from the North Country i can find... Anyone know a lesson or something that shows this style of play?
So many covers of this over the years ... Johnny Cash messed up the lyrics in a duet with Dylan on his show. CSN tried it live in 2012 ... this is among the best solo covers of the song on RUclips and more folks should see this.
Cash and Dylan did several duets together. Neither one of them always sang all the lyrics 100% correctly. They weren't "messing" up. They were being themselves, two of the greatest singer/songwriters in history.
What a lovely version sung beautifully by a beautiful girl... This is one of my favourite songs.. Lou Smith I think your voice would suit Green eyes too by Kate Wolf and When we were beautiful by Martraca Berg...
Nice adaptation. I have long loved this song and most of the covers. Julianne has a good voice, and though the instrumentation isn't terribly sophisticated, it need not be, thanks to the simplicity and her lovely, understated voice. I'm so glad to see younger musicians embrace these great acoustic, poetic, folk songs.
Hearing this singer for the first time tonight. I am very, very impressed! Lovely tone and vocal range! Do you have any more folk songs you could please post of this singer? What a really good voice!! Thank you.
John, Thank you for taking the time to reply. Look forward to hearing more songs sung by Juliannne when you are able to and have the time to post (folk is by far my favourite genre.)
Verse 1] If you’re travelin' in the north country fair Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline Remember me to one who lives there For she once was a true love of mine [Verse 2] If you go when the snowflakes storm When the rivers freeze and summer ends Please see if she has a coat so warm To keep her from the howling winds [Verse 3] Please see if her hair hangs long If it rolls and flows all down her breast Please see for me if her hair's hangin' long For that’s the way I remember her best [Verse 4] I’m a-wondering if she remembers me at all Many times I’ve often prayed In the darkness of my night In the brightness of my day [Verse 5] So if you’re travelin' the north country fair Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline Remember me to one who lives there For she once was a true love of mine
I like the way she plays those chords, Bm without a barre - very useful to beginners -, and too how she does her G chord; starting with little finger makes it all an easier but efficient way to play the song ; thanks, I will remember and use it when teaching beginners. Bernie
After having listened to Arthur Gunn's cover in the audition round of American Idol, i don't seem to like any other rendition of this masterpiece by Dylan & Cash, barring the original of course.

Your voice is so beautiful. To carry that much emotion, I suspect that your still waters run very deep. Make sure we hear some more please!
Once again, respect and gratitude to Dylan.
Thank You!!

Bellissima interpretazione... Molto intensa. Saluti dalla Puglia!
Innocently so authentic . Peter
Good to know a girl so young (and one with a really hokey Ibanez, no less) has such fantastic taste (and talent).

Verse 1]
If you’re travelin' in the north country fair
Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline
Remember me to one who lives there
For she once was a true love of mine
[Verse 2]
If you go when the snowflakes storm
When the rivers freeze and summer ends
Please see if she has a coat so warm
To keep her from the howling winds
[Verse 3]
Please see if her hair hangs long
If it rolls and flows all down her breast
Please see for me if her hair's hangin' long
For that’s the way I remember her best
[Verse 4]
I’m a-wondering if she remembers me at all
Many times I’ve often prayed
In the darkness of my night
In the brightness of my day
[Verse 5]
So if you’re travelin' the north country fair
Where the winds hit heavy on the borderline
Remember me to one who lives there
For she once was a true love of mine
