- Not every day you get the opportunity to explore a whole street of abandoned houses but I got very lucky. I'd been driving past these houses for a while and thought there was something going on even though I could only see small glimpses of them through the trees so finally I had time to stop and investigate and I got far more than I was expecting. 10 houses all built in the 80's early 90's and all in very good condition , ready to meet the bulldozer. I was also lucky that vandals had been around and had opened up most of the houses so I got to explore even though it was a wet rainy day. I have two videos for these street and will upload the next part to this next time so stay tuned. I was very happy that I got to explore so many videos all at once, I had to rush a little to get through them all so hope you understand and leave a comment and let me know what you thought of this video. Even the rain looks good, -14 C with a rind of Snow today, The town council or local government should make the developer recycle the useful parts to help lower the waste. Our city is remodeling a library, and the recycle factor is 94.4 percent.

There was so much stuff that could have been removed and salvaged. What a waste. Can understand the Wiggles house coming down with that colour scheme but at least the beige wiggle got his own room ☺. Agree with you on walking through long wet grass, its the pits. Looking forward to part 2.
The beeping is called a smoke detector. I am surprised that people hasn't been in there taking out doors and windows and cabinets. When the airport brought up all the land around it the houses that became abandoned ended up being a free for all. People came in and took fences , decks, wood anything they could use. I think wet grass is ukie too!! Great video!! I miss going into abandoned houses.........
Wow I drove past these houses the other day and didnt even notice they were abandoned! Shows how much you miss when you dont pay attention!
That screechy noise sounded like a smoke detector with a dying battery. That's what they sound like here in the states.

I grew up beside these houses and last week end are now demolished to make way for the highway
So what they just bought the people out to destroy them for a highway? Or where they already just left behind cause people moved on ? ....thats really sad...
It's raining so you must have your flip flops on! I know when my smoke alarm needs a new battery it bleeps like that and it scares the hell out of me!
Progress. You’ve got a bunch of greedy people wanting a freeway extension to burn money in petrol, and you’ve got a whole shitload of perfectly good houses that homeless people could use, so who wins? The petrol-heads of course, just so they can get from A to B 5 minutes quicker. What a waste.

I cant believe they would bulldoze all that without rescuing the appliances and other fixtures for a charity like Habitat for Humanity. crazy
I mean I dont know if you have that in Australia or not but surely some charity could use it.
so many homeless out there that could be occupying these nice homes and places its a shame they let them all go down hill when they could save them and have many homes for everyone no everyone now a days everyone money hungry money money money
cant get over how wasteful it is. When there are so many homeless or people waiting on housing and they will just knock them down makes me angry
not all people that are homeless because They want to be there are a lot of reasons why

I hear that it has all been bulldozed now so would be a nasty scare in the landscape at the mo before the duel lane motorway goes over the top

Chirp is the smoke detectortecr letting you know it needs the battery changed. It happens to all detectors now. Drives me crazy!
I don't know where this is, but in the US, when a place is tore down, they save salvageable parts and send them to stores called "Habatitat for Humanity"
You can go there and buy things such as doors, windows, down to drawer handles, really cheap.
If anything is good left in the house, it all gets donated for resale.

they are in Australia,, and what gets saved depends on the demo company

Well it is a shame to have to demolish decent houses in good condition like that. Good sized gardens too Thankyou for sharing your explore. I expect some people were upset to move out.
At-9:18- the sound reminds me of a smoke detector that needs a new battery.
The bricks look pretty cool- beats just plain red ones. Too bad the houses couldn't be moved &still used.
What would happen if you went back and just began salvaging items?
I liked the house with all the colors inside the best & a nice slate roof with the brick. Sad they will just be distoryed.

A lot of developments have reclamation people come in and remove everything in the states, Windows, brick, appliances, molding etc. Anything that can be reused. Basically all that is dozed is shells. Habitat for Humanity rebuilds houses from mostly all recycled items. It's such a waste to not recycle everything that can be.

Hi you made me laugh on your last video of the sheep farm, when you said ouch ouch that was funny, you need the right footwear when you go exploring ok flipflops not ideal, just a suggestion, i liked the purple bedroom, it was nice my lounge will be painted lavish lilac, my home was built in the 1960,s, its a shame that this whole Street is going to be Demolished, it should be salvaged & the parts salvaged Donated to Charity, where is this Street please, Thanks for your Great Video,s. Why don't they just let people strip the houses. Seems like a shame to distroy it all.
What happened there? Did they lose the houses because the jobs closed down or because the mortgage went up or because the area was affected by the rains and the soil is too soft? What is the reason they lost the houses. Please reply because everywhere in the world people are losing their jobs and houses the economy stinks.

Dont quote me on it because i dont know the exact route but the pacific highway is being upgraded in that area and will be built where those hoses are. That small bridge in the background in some of the shots is the current pacific highway.
hexagonview the highway upgrade will be running beside the current highway and will be going straight over the row of houses running beside the highway

Do you not have a large problem with squatters there? It always seems from your videos that there have never been any homeless folks living in any of the properties. Here- if owners didn't, vandals wouldv'e stripped those houses rather quickly.
