Wow! That's the most gorgeous abandoned rustic mansion in the most perfect setting. Complete privacy. You don't have to worry about "Uncle Earl" spotting you snooping around "Grandmama's" old place ; P. I love the rock steps that lead up to through the forest and the stonework all over the mansion. That would be my dream exploration. I wish we had places like that where I live, but the only mansions within a 100 mile radius of me are occupied. I bet that place was fantastic back in the 1920s-40s. I can picture Clark Gable or Errol Flynn standing out on the side porch smoking a pipe of Sir Walter Raleigh tobacco. I would love to be able to turn back time while standing in front of that mansion just to see how it looked back then.
You can almost imagine the family that lived there. Society people who had a warm loving home. Servants who enjoyed taking care of the family and their children. When times were simpler and family was everything :)

Her Majesty Downton Abbey is a silly unrealistic soap opera, plus the servants in that show are treated pretty darn well. This house looks to date from the 1930s or 40s, possibly even later. That was hardly a time of extreme classism. In fact, extreme classism never really existed in the US anyway.
Why do you assume immigrants built the house? And even if they did, why do you again assume that they worked only for pennies? I doubt you know very much about history, or when waves of immigrants came to the U.S.A. That house was built by very skilled craftsmen, and I bet they got paid very well, immigrants or not!
This is the best video of its kind that I've seen. No talking over the footage makes it feel like you're actually in the house exploring yourself. Brilliant! x
Just the amount of quality tongue and groove wood alone in that mansion was enough to pay for a home. The masonry looks impeccable. A real master did the stonework. The way it's built, it could easily last another 200 years. It looks like it's been modernized somewhat, but it seems like it's been done well. Rewiring it would pay for another house, too. You would have to bribe the electrical inspector. Lol.
There was also a lot of cheap 60's-70's paneling all over (stuff that was spray painted). It also looks like someone began to renovate the place. I saw a CAT5 cable running inside of the wall at the built in desk and the toilet that had "CAUTION" tape on it. I have seen that for years on projects that I have worked. I think that it was abandoned a second time because funds ran out. I saw newer tools in the basement workshop...
I need this house in my life. my kids and I could love all the warmth back into its lovely bones. Beautiful home♡ i couldnt image walking away from it.
Would make for a beautiful orphanage, even! In India the amount of children living on the streets is heart breaking. Even the potential for humanity to rally up concern and use the place instead of letting it wither away😢
Wouldn’t it be amazing to win the lottery and be able to invest money. While completely securing the roof which obviously hasn’t done much leaking. Then work on one room at a time until complete. so sad this place is abandoned and it's horrible that places like this cannot keep its original appearance.... can't get old with a peaceful aging. There's always a jerk or jerks that have to destroy beautiful places with no thoughts, conscience, or guilt. all they know is destroy something that should aged beautifully and would be more beautiful if not for those careless people trespassing, bresking windows, destroying besuty... the video was excellent thank you very much for sharing. you're right there were so many beautiful featured areas I can't 👉 one favorite. this place had alot of potential and life to it. if I ever hit the jackpot big enough to restore this place and live that would be a wonderful dream come true to restore it bring it back to its beauty I mean the wood, fireplaces they are gorgeous. the roof, windows, Doors yard, 🛀, & walls... there wasn't really a whole lot of sever damage to the place and I lost count of how many bathrooms there were, not to mention you didn't go into every room so no telling how many more we're still there. beautiful just beautiful
I keep coming back to this one because it's the one I like most. All of it, from the basement to the roof, to the front courtyard, the entire property to the lake, I'd work myself to death to turn that place into something even better than it was, with minimal modernization. And, the laws against vandalism really have to be notched up a lot more.
Meee too! I'd work my fingers to the bone cleaning it...I'm an artsy person and I'm looking at this place like a canvas... lots of fun with Murphy's oil soap😊
Wow, the stone work is amazing. Also the brick work on the fireplace was freaking perfect.. The fit and finish of woodwork was so awesome. Hard to find good workmanship like that anymore 😕
It's refreshing to see a blessedly silent video for a change. I get weary of watching those juvenile urban explorers who say stupid things and drop the F Bomb every two minutes.
This is a very strange building; I won't say 'house' or 'mansion' because I don't think this was ever meant to be a residence. I don't think it is as old as some folks here have said, but the exterior stonewok is extraordinary. The interior is just bewildering. The custom built-ins have an almost fussy feel, as in: the big coffee pot will go here and will always BE here, and this little room will be for such-and-such and always WILL be. But, as others have noted, the 'upgrades' over time seem to have been made on a stringent budget, by people who did not share or care about the original builders' sensibilities. If I had to guess, I'd say it was a hunting lodge or clubhouse of some kind.
your video actually made me dizzy, with all the quick movements and turning this way and that..having said that, I enjoyed the walk through of the mansion. I can just imagine what life would have been like, living in that grand home, in its glory days! Thanks!
Felt calming peace in front yard wanted to sit on stone wall and listen to the wind for a while. Was looking for the ham radio room. Ceramic or cast iron sinks in basement really nice. The grounds are so so peaceful !
This house is amazing; what got me was the wind passing by the exterior of the home as if the land itself is at peace. Knowing the history of this home and making sure there are no malignant entities inside this home would make this place a “breath taking” place to raise your family and loved ones. Kudos to the team for this amazing video; I want to buy it too......
Absolutely stunning. It's was so well cared for, I was glad to see it wasn't trashed or completely taken by nature or the elements. All the wood and those stone archways, it must have been a wilderness paradise. I wish I had money to buy it and make it a home again.
The entry is what I imagine as influenced by great Celtic halls. The stonework is magnificent as is the setting. Some parts are obviously old and grand but many interior doors seemed modern and incongruous to the overall feel of the structure. The drill press in the basement appears modern. How in the world did that organ get placed where it was? Can one imagine when the house had life! Surely there must be recorded deeds of property owners. I for one could not leave further research behind...
Simply gorgeous!! All the old beautiful fixtures in the bathrooms! I'd love to have this house!! Thank you for no obnoxious background music... Or the need to point out the obvious to us... "here's some stairs"... "Here's a fireplace"... Ugh! Lol! Great job as usual!! I'll be honest.. I would've never guessed from the picture just how grand this house would be on the inside!
Mason Methot A petition to save it - from what? It’s a wonderful video but the channel has provided no information or any context to where it’s located, who made on it and what is to become of the property. All it takes is a little bit of investigation if he’s worried about disclosing the location I understand that but where the hell is it at? They hinted at Canada or help from a “Canadian“ individual who apparently told them about the property. We need more context in these explores. Without it it’s difficult to imagine further what the possibilities might have been. I think it was some sort of hunting and fishing lodge, frankly. As the videographer went down the stairs in the back, did you notice that there was a wooden board with a wood look like rows and rows of key holders to be hung on there. Could that have been used to hold the keys to each room question mark. Will never know.
This envoked so much emotion while watching. I found myself wanting to mow the yard and rip off the window boards and bring some light back to the inside. Such beauty and sadness. I can't imagine leaving this place to rot. The memories this place must hold. Like so many others, I wish I had the means to bring this place back to life. Maybe one day, as a comunity, we could rally together and save this beauty. I would gladly give of my time. Thank you for taking us along on this journey. I appreciate the quiet walk through this home so that we were able to experience our own feelings without the distraction of useless narration. The drone footage at the end was awesome. You did a wonderful job. If anyone has found history or info as to why this place has been left forgotten, I would love to know. Thanks!
What an amazing house. The beautiful stones on the inside and outside just blew me away. The careful placement of the stones fill me with awe. Then there's all that gorgeous wood inside. Even though it's abandoned, it appears to still feel like a home.
It's a shame this wonderful home has just been left to the eliments. Why do people have to spray pant all the time. At-14:34- someone had to damage that fantastic organ. Why do stuff like that?!
I have a fascination with castles. I am speechless at such beauty. Thank you for such a great explore. I don't know if I'll get over that stunning staircase!
This may seem like a couple of random questions, but I noticed there was a body of water nearby? Is that a large lake? Ocean? And also, is there train tracks in the vicinity? An abandoned mine? To me this place appears to be a sort of crew station or halfway hotel sort of place, the basement is clearly set up for office and sleeping stations and storage. If the railway is nearby, I'm betting it was a bunkhouse for workers along the way. I've seen places like this before - a family would be paid by the railway or shipping business to live there, handle the operations, provide room & board to workers. Usually it's for water shipping or railway shipping/working, but could also be the big main house for a mining operation as well (explains the office like basement & storage, as well as the big safe - they'd keep workers pay, local banking, money and valuables being shipped, etc). It would also serve as the gathering place for church services on Sundays. It's definitely what would often be called "the big house". All of this depends on its geographical location, which I hope you don't share...it'd be a shame if it was vandalized. Hope this might help shed some light or open more avenues in investigating the history on all this! 😊
I can't believe this is abandoned! This is an extraordinary house with such grand craftsmenship - the owners were definitely the elite & wealthy for their time!
First time I have ever watched with headphones on. OMG I jumped a few times with the bangs and you seem very heavy footed 😂😂 Seems weird to have open fireplaces in kid's rooms but I guess not if that was the main heating source back in the day. Love your vids but no headphones in future!! lol
heatherbegs, the small fireplaces may have had coal or wood burning inserts. Kind of like little stoves. I think the house was a weekend getaway house for an affluent city couple or family and was used for entertaining from the spring through fall.
Butler's pantry, pass through, servants stairs, grand staircase, elevator, safe, fantastic stone work inside and out, real wood paneling, several fireplaces and bathrooms.
YES, very refreshing to see a silent exploration!, No fowl language or bad jokes, this was a pleasant one to watch for sure, what an AMAZING find. at 21:39 wasn't sure but it sounds like a male whisper, 22:48 sounds like a whisper saying "Yeah" or maybe these were both you as you were going through the place...lol
That's why there were so many sinks and large tables in the basement. Also the place wasn't decorated like a house, more like a business. Lots of storage, but no real "closets". end story looks down onto 1st story "great room", so people can watch the ceremony from the 2nd floor. Very large freezer in basement held dead bodies until embalming or funeral service.
I don't normally like to complain during these videos but you really rushed entirely too quickly in the beginning. You didn't slowly pan for all to see and I find that very aggravating. Take your time fella this was a beautiful house. You just didn't spend enough time letting people see in the beginning and were whipping by too quickly. Other than that this was a great exploration ! Thank you for being respectful and not making disrespectful comments during your video like other explorers ! I Appreciate your work and for sharing this beautiful forgotten home.
The rooms are intriguing. The room with the safe would seem a office, however, the cedar closet (for woolens) and mirror on the door suggest a bedroom. The only other thought is an office, however, set up so he can get ready in the office without having to cross paths with company. The room next to the office seems a guest bedroom. Though the most so is the rooms with fireplaces, obviously to be used frequently and filled with lots of natural light. Really strange about the partition. The elevator only goes to the lower floor, right? If so, seems then something to do with business saying the main stair is for the family, the back for servants, and the elevator for business. The vandalism is a bit weird, as smashed some amazing stuff, yet didn't rip up the curtains. Even the amazing green shower curtain is intact. Even left the original fixtures, even those sitting loose. Shame about the organ. Looks like has an extra set of pipes and seems the speakers downstairs might also be part of it as the wall block some sound. Though aid in reverberation. Bet when it played was quite a force with great voice.
Wonderful place for an organ. The thing that struck me most was the abundance of dead end spaces. And you're right about the basement - it has a foreboding feel about it.
It would be awesome if you had some of the history of this home. Not location but just some background about why it is left or just anything to tell us about the history........Just saying or.....maybe asking..... I have a very hard time seeing this house being in Ontario as they like to tear down these type of places.
ThaHypnotiq Wun Yes I agree. And more light in order to capture each room and it’s entirety it was difficult to get a perspective of the floor plan when the light was so concentrated in one area as he went through each room. I did like the fact that there was no commentary very well done
Hey guys did anyone check for EVP's on this, I swear I heard a couple of voices that are not supposed to be there. Someone say "What are you doing here", also "How did he get in It's..... (Something I couldn't make out)" Probably Locked or something to that effect..
Fantastic house. Would love to know the history. And would like to see more rooms, fewer hallways and closets. Keep up the good work. I love these videos!
This abandoned mansion stil clean, compared to other abandoned mansions I watched here in youtube, this it so beautiful!! The stone wall😍😍😍😍😍!!! The staircase😍😍😍😍😍!!! The whole place is beautiful!!! 😍😍😍😍😍thank u for sharing the tour❤❤❤❤❤❤
this is one of my pet peeves. i hate when wonderful old homes are just abandoned! that last frame showing overhead and the road around it and the body of water just beyond....lovely! they should just give these places to people, or for cheaper prices, and let them be fixed up. i'd take that in a heart beat if i had money
Looks more like early to mid 1800's except for a few of the updated things in bathrooms. I lived in a house built in 1896 and this is reminiscent but looks earlier. Nice video 😄
They may have replaced the original furnace (or whatever the thing was that had the JJ Taylor's tag on it) in the 1950's. The house itself appears to have been built prior to the 50's.
Our ancient and very beautiful Cape Dutch Home under thatch on the family Wine Far was built in 16 71, still lived in now 2019 and declared a National Monument decades ago, Many in our Wine Valley of similar age and beautiful. Very popular wine route and tours for wine tastings and fine restaurants now and also Wedding Venues. Google Historical Cape Wine Routes. NONE abandoned. There are a few that are REALLY HAUNTED !
WOW What a house/castle. You did really good in the basement. I'd have lost my bearings and got lost. So many rooms. The second set of stairs (that you took to the basement) was most likely for the maid and or butler. t's good to see you are making more videos my friend. When I see an abandoned house I think of you. Take care.- Mary
Wow...what a beautiful place it had to of been in it's day!! Love the grounds outside too. So private & peaceful. You did a great job recording also. Thank you.
Wow this place still seems amazingly structurally sound. Even the floors barely creak. I know i have mentioned this before but could you consider placing a board or stick in things like the freezer and water sources, so small animals are able to escape.
This place is awesome.Fantastic rock work and masonry.Beautiful wood work.Looks like all you would have to do is open windows.Clean it up probably do some plumbing and electrical and paint.I think if it was mine I'd open up some of the rooms and hallways.Probably paint some of the woodwork to lighten it up some.Hate to see it go to waste very beautiful.
You can see the toe boards on the roof, and that's done when they are going to put a new roof on a structure, so It's a shame whoever it was that started to repair it didn't finish, because that's an awesome place!
I absolutely love this home all made out of stone. It reminds me so much of homes on the coast of New Hampshire going up to Canada. All the homes are made out of stone. Well most of them ant way. ❤❤
If money were no object and it was doable, i would love to bring that place back to life and get it humming again! so many old skool cool features ....one can dream I really hope this won['t be torn down...it'll never be replaced......AMAZING explore
First I have to say that I hope u have a backup flashlight in these dark houses as u would be lost without light!! Second, this is a fantastic house!! I really love the sloping stairway that shows at the beginning with the lights on the steps. Thanks for the great video showing us history of a fabulous old house.
Love the wood and stone work throughout the whole place.. love that old cast iron stove. To bad it was damaged. The arch ways and everything are just absolutely perfect. I will admit..... with your lighting from the camera and how you weren't talking. All I was picturing was that someone is going to be standing there when you turn around. Especially after seeing "we were here... but never left"... like something out of a low budget horror film
I wouldn't be surprised if that separate, carpeted staircase was part of an original servants' wing. Just judging by the size of the bedrooms on that side, and the lack of opulence compared with the rest of the home. What an amazing house. I wish I lived in Canada, so I could buy it. Definitely a piece of history.
Only few people love to be alone,or loner....most of us are sociable persons...most people love to be with others....that is why when the Loner person dies and his siblings will find a way out from that killfull silence.
27:27 If you look to the left before he enters the door frame you can see a shadow move to his right then dart to the left and vanish. Not sure if this was because he may have used a flashlight or something obstructed the light from the window. Been listening for these voices too and I can here em' can't make them out very well. Spooky stuff. Love your videos there's something so relaxing about them.
With that open area on the roof it won't be long when the water will damage a lot of the interior of the house. If I was exploring these old homes I would try to close all the doors and windows and cover open areas to help keep it dry if I could even though it's not mine.
Very cool, but it would have been nice to add commentary, maybe history of the house? Or your thoughts? But super cool to see and try to imagine the house in it's hey day.
It's a beautiful location...it is such a shame to see a beautiful place like that going to ruins. But I can see why no one lives in it with so much black mold everywhere. After so long these older places seem to start growing mold due to the moisture in the area. I did hear a lot of strange noises during your explore...I thought someone else within the house with you because at times the background noise sounded as if someone else was there. You're pretty brave exploring there alone. As beautiful as that place is it's also equally creepy. Great job though. I enjoyed watching it very much. I'm going to subscribe to your channel. As one viewer already said, you don't chatter throughout the entire video making it difficult to enjoy what we're seeing. Thank you for sharing this place.
Around minute 27 there is a piece of kit labelled JNJ Taylor Toronto. Earlier there was a room with blue Fleur des Lies on a cream background wallpaper. The view from the roof and the scene at the end looked like a Quebec Laurentian’s scene as does the stonework. Abandoned lakeside hotel in Quebec?
This breaks my heart that such a beautiful place is being left to just rot away.

It would be a resto candidate for sure, but only for 3% of our population to afford to do it.
That's how the wealthy do things or if they pass its left to a non profit group who doesn't want it
Because of the tools shown in the one room near the beginning of the video, I believe that renovation/ restoration has begun.
@@tonywestbrook6436 The 3% still wouldn't do it because they will be greedy and this will only cost, not bring in money.
The cut stone construction is absolutely beautiful
I agree. It was the stone that fascinated me, inside and out.
Incredible house, why people have to go in and destroy someone else's property I will never understand.
Jealousy.
No ones destroying anything, he’s simply video touring the property.

"here's some stairs"... "Here's a fireplace"... Ugh! Lol! Great job as usual!! I'll be honest.. I would've never guessed from the picture just how grand this house would be on the inside!
A petition needs to be started to save that place. Cannot let it go to waste!
I heard that it was bought recently
Gorgeous, Gorgeous, exterior stone, inside wood, wow.. Thank you..
+ndog2005 you are so very welcome!!!
Thanks!
Me too willing to know why the owner leave this such a beautiful home.
What a find! So interesting. So many bathrooms!
+Gina Lola so much of everything it would been great not to have to run that far to a bathroom in the middle of the night
What an amazing house. The beautiful stones on the inside and outside just blew me away. The careful placement of the stones fill me with awe. Then there's all that gorgeous wood inside. Even though it's abandoned, it appears to still feel like a home.
You will NEVER, NEVER, EVER find that kind of craftsmanship in ANY new house built these days!! So sad.
It's a shame this wonderful home has just been left to the eliments. Why do people have to spray pant all the time. At-14:34- someone had to damage that fantastic organ. Why do stuff like that?!
What a shame that someone could just leave that once beautiful house to ruins
Why? A great lack of respect!
That mansion is absolutely gorgeous!! The property is as well. Thank you so much for the tour :)
Surely the history of this place can be found!
Yeah, but you don't want it found. Someone will go in and tear the walls apart for the copper tubing and wiring.
Excellent wander through this mansion. So sad no one would buy it and do a major rehab on it, such a lovely home.
That stone is beautiful! I can't imagine how incredible it would be to live in a place like that!
I can't believe this is abandoned! This is an extraordinary house with such grand craftsmenship - the owners were definitely the elite & wealthy for their time!
The most beautiful abandoned mansion I have ever seen!
I can only imagine how it looked while occupied!
Thank you for sharing this!
:)
First time I have ever watched with headphones on. OMG I jumped a few times with the bangs and you seem very heavy footed 😂😂
Seems weird to have open fireplaces in kid's rooms but I guess not if that was the main heating source back in the day.
YES, very refreshing to see a silent exploration!, No fowl language or bad jokes, this was a pleasant one to watch for sure, what an AMAZING find. at 21:39 wasn't sure but it sounds like a male whisper, 22:48 sounds like a whisper saying "Yeah" or maybe these were both you as you were going through the place...lol
love your videos keep them coming you sure know how to explore thanks
Thank you!!!
Wow, a bunch of staircases!!! I love a staircase❣️
What a lovely mansion. Thank you for sharing this footage with us.
What a beautiful property right on a gorgeous lakefront!!💚
Love this place. It would be wonderful if someone bought it and renovated! ❤️
You go way too fast & don't zoom in on details. Love the place but please slow the video down.
Janet - TOTALLY DISAGREE!!!! I've seen MANY that go MUCH FASTER!!!!
I agree way to fast
Explored nooks that were the same, every tiny storage space. Skipped over parts that would have been interesting to see
Wonderful place for an organ.
I love watching this video , a silent video ,a clean video ,without saying F words , god bless whom made this...
The staircase was the most astonishing of all! Just lovely.Someone must take this place over. Too pretty to let rot!!
An Elevator wow factor in this Home with Antenna I feel someone very Important lived there
Its a beautiful find. Unfortunately I had to watch it in pieces the rapid movement made me kind of dizzy. I still enjoyed it though.
ThaHypnotiq Wun Yes I agree. And more light in order to capture each room and it’s entirety it was difficult to get a perspective of the floor plan when the light was so concentrated in one area as he went through each room. I did like the fact that there was no commentary very well done
Abandon mansions Ahhhh there are so many! This is the price for selling their souls! It's collection time! Thank you for the lovely video.
Hey guys did anyone check for EVP's on this, I swear I heard a couple of voices that are not supposed to be there. Someone say "What are you doing here", also "How did he get in It's..... (Something I couldn't make out)" Probably Locked or something to that effect..
Loved exploring this place ❤️ it's now bein restored
nice old elevator as well! trimmed out in quarter-cut white oak. Beautiful!
hope someone biys it and restores this beAuty
+Aatikah Carmen happy one can only hope!!
DaaDeeOh's Urban Em
Fantastic house. Would love to know the history. And would like to see more rooms, fewer hallways and closets. Keep up the good work. I love these videos!
So beautiful. I enjoyed the quietness too. Hope someone soon will restore it to its former glory and happiness and laughter will fill it up.
Such a beautiful house. What a pity that it is abandoned. Is there more information about the story of it?
This house is amazing. The creator and details you don't see this in homes built today. BEAUTIFUL home. Sad it is sitting empty
Why do those little turds think they have to spray paint stupid stuff on the walls? UGH. Thanks for filming.
This place is so beautiful. Needs to be brought back to life .
Looks more like early to mid 1800's except for a few of the updated things in bathrooms. I lived in a house built in 1896 and this is reminiscent but looks earlier. Nice video 😄
It was built in the 50s or later because It showed jj Taylor's company, and that was made in the late 50s
I totally agree!
I could live there🤗 providing a new roof was included😁👍🥰
Wow, this place is in good shape.
If money were no object and it was doable, i would love to bring that place back to life and get it humming again! so many old skool cool features ....one can dream I really hope this won['t be torn down...it'll never be replaced......AMAZING explore
Great video.. A beautiful house, shame to see it empty & be destroyed. Thanks for sharing..
This home is just beautiful.
All the natural wood and light fixtures wowza
Beautiful stone work, just for starters
First I have to say that I hope u have a backup flashlight in these dark houses as u would be lost without light!!
Second, this is a fantastic house!! I really love the sloping stairway that shows at the beginning with the lights on the steps. Thanks for the great video showing us history of a fabulous old house.
This has got to be hands down my favorite house and one of my favorite videos. Awesome!!
I agree.
Trees outside cast the shadows.
Kinda saw it
seen something move, but wasn't quite sure till i read your comment, it does look like a shadow moving. it darts real quick to the left.
What a beautiful forgotten place. I'd love to know the history of it
With that open area on the roof it won't be long when the water will damage a lot of the interior of the house.
ABSOLUTELY beautiful...yet sad. I cannot believe my eyes.
What a gorgeous place even in the neglected state the stone and wood work is amazing
Architecture is a wonderful thing
Awesome find. Thank you for sharing 👍👍👍
No talking and focusing on all the wrong things got me bored!
Yeah I got tired of looking inside closets and walls! I wanted to see the whole house and rooms. Definitely needs a better light.
It's boring because of the previous owner's dead soul.
This home needs someone to love it again
Around minute 27 there is a piece of kit labelled JNJ Taylor Toronto. Earlier there was a room with blue Fleur des Lies on a cream background wallpaper. The view from the roof and the scene at the end looked like a Quebec Laurentian’s scene as does the stonework. Abandoned lakeside hotel in Quebec?
A group of people that want to live off the grid should buy this property.
