Abandoned farm house with some cool stuff in it.

- I went out yesterday and filmed this abandoned farm house out at northern nsw Australia. I'd been past it so many times over the years and was never too sure if some one lived there but after seeing the side window open during very heavy rain I had my suspicions it was empty and off exploring I went. It became apparent that the last owner was a single male from some of the things that were in the house and the huge lack of a female presence. I absolutely love the stove and the old fan. If anyone from northern nsw Australia knows of any abandoned dwellings they think I might like to film, please send me a private message.
side note the fancy editing was just to celebrate my 1000 subscribers so don't worry I'll go back to keeping it simple after this until I reach 2000 subs :)

Hey now! To the naysayers on this, his videos are among 3 or 4 that I consider the best. And why, just because someone’s breathing sounds a little off to you, do we assume the worst? This guy rocks and finds some of the coolest places! One of my absolute favs!
My breathing was pretty bad at the time since I'd not long had part of my lung removed 😉

The stove was made in 1959. The burners slide inside the stove. It was marketed as "jet age cooking for the bachelor gourmet". I would love to have a stove like that.
I really liked that stove with all 4 burners side by side.Never seen one like that before.
After 40 years we still haven't progressed much about 'Banishing Wrinkles' ..lol.. Amazing how advertising can still fool the modern generations.
even after several years of abandonment, the house is amazing and I would fix it up in a heartbeat. Really nice stove too :D
It happened to my parents house while dad was at the funeral home, so it really does exist. It happens in the Chicago area frequently, so I'm not so dumb after all. Just very aware.

3:42 I used to have one of them fans - was mesmerizing watching it swivel. It's really heavy too because of it's cast iron base.
Thanks for moving a little slower for us old people! And yes, being American myself I can say that houses here usually get trashed and stolen from. It is also nice to see other countries I'll never get to visit, so thanks for that too. I've seen other stoves like that one and usually the burner area slides in when not in use, The small oven is also cool for cooking small items. Also, look at how huge those old growth trees are.
My prospective on stuff is that it's just stuff. Personally, I love things. I've been building an eclectic collection of items and while I hope that my children, relatives, and friends would care for my things by incorporating them into their own homes or distributing them as they see fit. If by chance my stuff was left to rot and be destroyed like this I would be A-OK with someone like this explorer taking items that they adore. These antiques are so special. There will come a day when they are hardly even a memory. I hate to see them waste away. Lastly, I do have items that were given to me by dear ones who have died, and they mean the most to me. Other stuff I've picked up at sales etc. ..are wonderful too, but finding stuff is downright exciting.
Rats moved in after he moved out. Must be a heaven there, as I never saw so much Rat doody. I have the same style wee pressure cooker you see on top of the wood stove.
I explored a lot of abandoned buildings and homes in Melbourne wow the architecture ....

It makes me really sad to see these beautiful houses abandoned, when I would love so much to make one a home for my family. I live in Ohio and I have watched beautiful homes rot until they have collapsed. Homes that are historical. Plots of property that lay untouched. Also, that is a kick ass stove! Why the heel don't they make them like that?

Nice vid. Thanks for sharing. Looks like some renovation was started not so long ago, when the items were stacked in the outbuilding. Perhaps the Van Gogh print is the blueprint? Nice stock saddle, wonder if a long dead horse is buried outside.
I went to a camp 40 miles inside the western sahara from the Red Sea. Nice abandoned stone house, it looked like the livestock were abandoned too, I found their skeletons under the scrawny trees.

I really like that cooking stove, I've never seen one with the burners all in a row. Is that common in your country? The bed sure was pretty. Would that be Art Deco? I love it.
Do you think it has been abandon since around 1965? I do hope the bugs and other critters weren't running around on his clean dishes, stove and counters while he was still living there.

I watch Vids like this from all over the world and I love your Australian houses the best. Oh and the little orange teapot you picked up in this old abandoned farmhouse is exactly the same as one my Mother has and it was brought from a cheap shop in the 90's. Not a treasure but a good little pot to drink tea from. Happy house hunting.

I dont live far from Mallanganee and you will find this place was from some old farmer- where family have moved him to a nursing home..justbe careful about trespassing..

The stove burners would slide in under the oven. They were popular in the 60s in the US. Even Elvis had one in his kitchen. I had a pressure cooker like the one on the shelf and miss it because I wore it out.
In the rain forest where I live the only way you could search a house empty since 1965 is with a metal detector.

You know, you and me, we think alike! I'll be thinking, "Hmm, I wonder what's in that drawer?" and then you go and open that drawer! Or I'll be wondering what the date is on that newspaper and then you go and zoom in on the paper! (It's a rather cool ESP-esque trick we've got going between NSW and upstate NY, ha ha!) Do prefer it when you're talking, though. Your running commentaries are insightful and (often) humorous and I like that in an abandoned explore for it gets a little spooky when it's too quiet (I actually jumped when you opened the first door and it squeaked on it's hinges! Maybe I need to stop watching these in the wee hours of the morning when I can't sleep and the house is quiet, eh? You make the best abandoned videos, Michael, thanks for letting us tag along! :)

I have just discovered and subscribed to your channel. I remain amazed at how people just "wander off" and leave so much stuff behind. Whilst some may have died, others just seem to head into the sunset. The abandoned beach camp video I watched fascinates me as well. Love to know the story behind that one. Do you ever go on to research the owners and their circumstances? Keep doing what you are doing. I'm loving it.

I subbed to so 3 until 2000. btw I liked the mans highway map of N.W.T. I instantly recognised the Polar Bear logo! Wonder if he maybe worked there or went on holiday there.
Need to wear a good mask in those old places,mold ,dust etc !

HI I love your chanel you do an awesome job and I love seeing the old Aussie houses and buildings . If you want to do something a little different and see an awesome house that is unfortunately not vacant but it is the creepiest house in Australia and its in Junee near Wagga see Monticristo . It is the most haunted house in here and its beautiful and old and now used as a bed and breakfast but they do tours .Oh yeah you and I have something in comon we both hate those huge scary spiders that creep us out LOL.😀

Hey, In my town, Orange NSW, the hospital is abandoned, been a few years now, I know loads have gone in there, but I'm too scared to, don't want to get caught lol .. I'd love to go in there though :)

I wonder why this family left all these things. Maybe it's because the house is in such a remote area, but it's odd to see it not ransacked and such. In America, at least in the other urbex videos I've seen, drug addicts and thieves will look through every square inch of an abandoned property looking for money and valuables. It's nice to see a house in a pristine state just how the owner left it.
